Gas injection has been acknowledged as an effective method to improve oil recovery factor from unconventional oil reservoirs. Hydrocarbon gas huff-n-puff becomes preferable when the CO_(2) source is limited. However, the impact of complex fracture networks and well interference on the EOR performance of multiple MFHWs is still unclear. The optimal gas huff-n-puff parameters are significant for enhancing oil recovery. This work aims to optimize the hydrocarbon gas injection and production parameters for multiple MFHWs with complex fracture networks in unconventional oil reservoirs. Firstly, the numerical model based on unstructured grids is developed to characterize the complex fracture networks and capture the dynamic fracture features.Secondly, the PVT phase behavior simulation was carried out to provide the fluid model for numerical simulation. Thirdly, the optimal parameters for hydrocarbon gas huff-n-puff were obtained. Finally, the dominant factors of hydrocarbon gas huff-n-puff under complex fracture networks are obtained by fuzzy mathematical method. Results reveal that the current pressure of hydrocarbon gas injection can achieve miscible displacement. The optimal injection and production parameters are obtained by single-factor analysis to analyze the effect of individual parameter. Gas injection time is the dominant factor of hydrocarbon gas huff-n-puff in unconventional oil reservoirs with complex fracture networks. This work can offer engineers guidance for hydrocarbon gas huff-n-puff of multiple MFHWs considering the complex fracture networks.展开更多

文摘To improve the vibration isolation performance of suspensions, various new structural forms of suspensions have been proposed. However, there is uncertainty in these new structure suspensions,so the deterministic research cannot refect the performance of the suspension under actual operating conditions. In this paper,a quasi-zero stifness isolator is used in automotive suspensions to form a new suspension−quasi-zero stifness air suspension(QZSAS).Due to the strong nonlinearity and structural complexity of quasi-zero stifness suspensions, changes in structural parameters may cause dramatic changes in suspension performance,so it is of practical importance to study the efect of structural parameter uncertainty on the suspension performance. In order to solve this problem, three suspension structural parameters d_(0),L_(0) and Pc_(0) are selected as random variables, and the polynomial chaos expansion(PCE)theory is used to solve the suspension performance parameters. The sensitivity of the performance parameters to diferent structural parameters was discussed and analyzed in the frequency domain.Furthermore,a multi-objective optimization of the structural parameters d_(0),L_(0) and Pc_(0) of QZSAS was performed with the mean and variance of the root-mean-square(RMS)acceleration values as the optimization objectives. The optimization results show that there is an improvement of about 8%−1_(0)%in the mean value and about 4_(0)%−55%in the standard deviation of acceleration(RMS)values. This paper verifes the feasibility of the PCE method for solving the uncertainty problem of complex nonlinear systems, which provide a reference for the future structural design and optimization of such suspension systems.

文摘A robust topology optimization design framework is developed to solve lightweight structural design problems under uncertain conditions. To enhance the calculation accuracy and flexibility of the statistical moments of robust analysis, number theory integral method is applied to sample point selection and weight assignment. Both the structure topology optimization and number theory integral methods are combined to form a new robust topology optimization method. A suspension control arm problem is provided as a demonstration of robust topology optimization methods under loading uncertainties. Based on the results of deterministic and robust topology optimization, it is demonstrated that the proposed robust topology optimization method can produce a more robust design than that obtained by deterministic topology optimization. It is also found that this new approach is easy to apply in the existing commercial topology optimization software and thus feasible in practical engineering problems.

文摘Water trapped within the HMA(Hot Mix Asphalt)layers of a flexible pavement causes the loss of strength and durability of the material producing surface damages and deteriorations such as stripping and ravelling.Open-graded pavements are considered potentially to be effective solutions to avoid these forms of infiltration-related distress. The main property that influences the performance of HMA is the hydraulic permeability. The permeability is a function of several properties of HMA which make the process of mix design very complex and uncertain. In this paper, starting from different grading curves,we evaluate the dependence of the permeability by the size distribution of aggregates using a full numerical model that has yet been validated through experimental tests and theoretical calculations. The correlation between the grain size distributions and the hydraulic permeability is very useful in order to simplify and optimize the design of open-graded pavements.

文摘The gasoline inline blending process has widely used real-time optimization techniques to achieve optimization objectives, such as minimizing the cost of production. However, the effectiveness of real-time optimization in gasoline blending relies on accurate blending models and is challenged by stochastic disturbances. Thus,we propose a real-time optimization algorithm based on the soft actor-critic(SAC)deep reinforcement learning strategy to optimize gasoline blending without relying on a single blending model and to be robust against disturbances. Our approach constructs the environment using nonlinear blending models and feedstocks with disturbances. The algorithm incorporates the Lagrange multiplier and path constraints in reward design to manage sparse product constraints.Carefully abstracted states facilitate algorithm convergence, and the normalized action vector in each optimization period allows the agent to generalize to some extent across different target production scenarios.Through these well-designed components, the algorithm based on the SAC outperforms real-time optimization methods based on either nonlinear or linear programming. It even demonstrates comparable performance with the time-horizon based real-time optimization method, which requires knowledge of uncertainty models, confirming its capability to handle uncertainty without accurate models. Our simulation illustrates a promising approach to free real-time optimization of the gasoline blending process from uncertainty models that are difficult to acquire in practice.

文摘The wheels have a considerable influence on the aerodynamic properties and can contribute up to 25%of the total drag on modern vehicles. In this study, the effect of the wheel spoke structure on the aerodynamic performance of the isolated wheel is investigated.Subsequently, the 35°Ahmed body with an optimized spoke structure is used to analyze the flow behavior and the mechanism of drag reduction. The Fluent software is employed for this investigation, with an inlet velocity of 40 m/s.The accuracy of the numerical study is validated by comparing it with experimental results obtained from the classical Ahmed model. To gain a clearer understanding of the effects of the wheel spoke parameters on the aerodynamics of both the wheel and Ahmedmodel, and five design variables are proposed:the fillet angleα,the inside arc radius R1,the outside radius R2,and the same length of the chord L1 and L2.These variables characterize the wheel spoke structure. The Optimal Latin Hypercube designmethod is utilized to conduct the experimental design.Based on the simulation results of various wheel spoke designs, the Kriging model and the adaptive simulated annealing algorithm is selected to optimize the design parameters. The objective is to achieve the best combination for maximum drag reduction. It is indicated that the optimized spoke structure resulted in amaximum drag reduction of 5.7%and 4.7%for the drag coefficient of the isolated wheel and Ahmed body, respectively. The drag reduction is primarily attributed to changes in the flow state around the wheel, which suppressed separation bubbles.Additionally,it influenced the boundary layer thickness around the car body and reduced the turbulent kinetic energy in the wake flow. These effects collectively contributed to the observed drag reduction.

文摘The oil production of the multi-fractured horizontal wells(MFHWs) declines quickly in unconventional oil reservoirs due to the fast depletion of natural energy. This work can offer engineers guidance for hydrocarbon gas huff-n-puff of multiple MFHWs considering the complex fracture networks.

文摘The widespread adoption of aluminumalloy electric buses, known for their energy efficiency and eco-friendliness,faces a challenge due to the aluminum frame’s susceptibility to deformation compared to steel. This issue is further exacerbated by the stringent requirements imposed by the flammability and explosiveness of batteries, necessitating robust frame protection. Our study aims to optimize the connectors of aluminum alloy bus frames, emphasizing durability, energy efficiency, and safety. This research delves into Multi-Objective Coordinated Optimization(MCO)techniques for lightweight design in aluminum alloy bus body connectors. Our goal is to enhance lightweighting, reinforce energy absorption, and improve deformation resistance in connector components.Three typical aluminum alloy connectors were selected and a design optimization platform was built for their MCO using a variety of software and methods.Firstly, through three-point bending experiments and finite element analysis on three types of connector components,we identified optimized design parameters based on deformation patterns. Then, employing Optimal Latin hypercube design(OLHD),parametric modeling, and neural network approximation,we developed high-precision approximate models for the design parameters of each connector component, targeting energy absorption, mass, and logarithmic strain.Lastly, utilizing the Archive-based Micro Genetic Algorithm(AMGA),Multi-Objective Particle Swarm Optimization(MOPSO),and Non-dominated SortingGenetic Algorithm(NSGA2),we explored optimized design solutions for these joint components.Subsequently,we simulated joint assembly buckling during bus rollover crash scenarios to verify and analyze the optimized solutions in three-point bending simulations. Each joint component showcased a remarkable 30%–40%mass reduction while boosting energy absorption. Our design optimization method exhibits high efficiency and costeffectiveness.Leveraging contemporary automation technology, the design optimization platform developed in this study is poised to facilitate intelligent optimization of lightweight metal components in future applications.

文摘This study focused on the mechanical behavior of a deep-buried tunnel constructed in horizontally layered limestone, and investigated the effect of a new combined rockboltecable support system on the tunnel response. The Yujingshan Tunnel, excavated through a giant karst cave, was used as a case study.Firstly,a multi-objective optimization model for the rockboltecable support was proposed by using fuzzy mathematics and multi-objective comprehensive decision-making principles.Subsequently, the parameters of the surrounding rock were calibrated by comparing the simulation results obtained by the discrete element method(DEM)with the field monitoring data to obtain an optimized support scheme based on the optimization model. Finally, the optimization scheme was applied to the karst cave section, which was divided into the B-and C-shaped sections. The distribution range of the rockboltecable support in the C-shaped section was larger than that in the B-shaped section. The field monitoring results, including tunnel crown settlement, horizontal convergence, and axial force of the rockboltecable system, were analyzed to assess the effectiveness of the optimization scheme. The maximum crown settlement and horizontal convergence were measured to be 25.9 mm and 35 mm,accounting for 0.1%and 0.2%of the tunnel height and span, respectively.Although the C-shaped section had poorer rock properties than the B-shaped section, the crown settlement and horizontal convergence in the C-shaped section ranged from 46%to 97%of those observed in the B-shaped section. The cable axial force in the Bshaped section was approximately 60%of that in the C-shaped section. The axial force in the crown rockbolt was much smaller than that in the sidewall rockbolt.Field monitoring results demonstrated that the optimized scheme effectively controlled the deformation of the layered surrounding rock, ensuring that it remained within a safe range. These results provide valuable references for the design of support systems in deep-buried tunnels situated in layered rock masses.

Optimization of off-road vehicle suspension system is one of the most effective methods, which could considerably enhance the vehicle stability and controllability. In this work, a comprehensive optimization of an off-read vehicle suspension system model was carried out using software ADAMS. The geometric parameters of suspension system were optimized using genetic algorithm (GA) in a way that ride comfort, handling and stability of vehicle were improved. The results of optimized suspension system and variations of geometric parameters due to road roughness and different steering angles were presented in ADAMS and the results of optimized and conventional suspension systems during various driving maneuvers were compared. The simulation results indicate that the camber angle variations decrease by the optimized suspension system, resulting in improved handling and ride comfort characteristics.

文摘Fouling caused by excess metal ions in hard water can negatively impact the performance of the circulating cooling water system(CCWS)by depositing ions on the heat exchanger's surface.Currently, the operation optimization of CCWS often prioritizes short-term flow velocity optimization for minimizing power consumption, without considering fouling. However, low flow velocity promotes fouling. Therefore,it's crucial to balance fouling and energy/water conservation for optimal CCWS long-term operation. This study proposes a mixed-integer nonlinear programming(MINLP)model to achieve this goal. The model considers fouling in the pipeline, dynamic concentration cycle, and variable frequency drive to optimize the synergy between heat transfer, pressure drop, and fouling.By optimizing the concentration cycle of the CCWS,water conservation and fouling control can be achieved. The model can obtain the optimal operating parameters for different operation intervals, including the number of pumps, frequency, and valve local resistance coefficient.Sensitivity experiments on cycle and environmental temperature reveal that as the cycle increases, the marginal benefits of energy/water conservation decrease. In periods with minimal impact on fouling rate,energy/water conservation can be achieved by increasing the cycle while maintaining a low fouling rate.Overall, the proposed model has significant energy/water saving effects and can comprehensively optimize the CCWS through its incorporation of fouling and cycle optimization.
