Tibet:14 Years of Brilliant, Extraor Achievements——An interview with Raidi, vice-chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress

Tremendous changes have takenplace in Tibet under the state policy of reform andopening up to the outside world, especially over thepast 14 years since the Fourth Plenary Session of the13th Central Committee of the Chinese CommunistParty. Unprecedented are the development of the localeconomy, and so are the changes in the outlook ofcities and countryside in the region, and life of ethnicTibetan has kept improving.Raidi, vice-chairman of the Standing Committee ofthe National People's Congress (NPC), is a mostqualified eyewitness to these changes. He was born intoa serf's family before the Democratic Reform in thelate 1950s, and had worked on various leading posts inTibet before he was elected to NPC, China's highestlegislature. In July 1990, Jiang Zemin, then generalsecretary of the CPC Central Committee, cited Raidi asan example when speaking on the question of humanrights during an inspection tour of Lhasa. Said he,'What do human rights mean? Comrade Raidi, aformer serf, now works as the second most seniormember of the Chinese Communist Party Committee ofTibet Autonomous Region, his experiences bring outthe meaning of human rights. English Translation of Political Terminologies with Chinese Characteristics:A Case Study of the 20th CPC National Congress Report

The philosophies, thoughts, strategies, and measures introduced in the 20th National Congress report of the Communist Party of China chart the course for the nation’s future development. The political terminologies with Chinese characteristics presented in the report form a crucial part of China’s distinct political development model, while also presenting considerable challenges for translation. Drawing on a Chinese-English parallel corpus of political terminologies from the 20th Congress report, this study explores the translation of these terms with a focus on four-character patterns, numerical abbreviations, and idiomatic expressions. The goal is to develop effective translation strategies and contribute to research on translating political terminologies with Chinese characteristics.

党的二十大精神指引下的高校管理育人质量提升路径研究

党的二十大报告指出:“教育是国之大计、党之大计”。高校具有丰富的管理育人资源,但当前部分地方高校存在管理人员的人岗相适度不足、管理理念和育人模式不够先进、管理制度建设方面缺乏创新等问题,面临着社会变革、信息技术升级与价值观冲突带来的意识形态风险挑战。解决这些突出问题,需要在党的二十大精神的指引下不断探索符合新时代特点的管理育人有效路径,积极应对和适应不断变化的新态势、新要求,提升高校管理育人质量,响应党和国家对高等教育培育时代新人、“办好人民满意的教育”的要求。

第七届国际麻风大会及其历史影响考析

1958年11月12日至19日在日本东京举办的第7届国际麻风大会是首次在亚洲举办的全球性麻风学术会议,由日本麻风基金会和日本麻风协会举办,41个国家和地区181名代表参加了会议。会议交流论文120篇,分为细菌学和组织病理学、治疗、分型、流行病学和控制、免疫学、社会问题6个专题。会议取得了废除强制麻风隔离政策、推广门诊治疗的共识。会议呼吁重视麻风畸残预防及康复工作,开辟了麻风防治新的领域。这次学术交流为其后全球麻风科学的迅猛发展奠定了基础,改变了全球麻风防治发展风貌,并提供了学术团体举办学术会议的难得经验与教训,在麻风学术交流历史上具有重要地位和深远影响。
