Polypropylene(PP)fiber-reinforced cement-based tailings backfill(FRCTB)is a green compound material with superior crack resistance and has good prospects for application in underground mining.However,FRCTB exhibits su...Polypropylene(PP)fiber-reinforced cement-based tailings backfill(FRCTB)is a green compound material with superior crack resistance and has good prospects for application in underground mining.However,FRCTB exhibits susceptibility to dynamic events,such as impact ground pressure and blast vibrations.This paper investigates the energy and crack distribution behavior of FRCTB under dynamic impact,considering the height/diameter(H/D)effect.Split Hopkinson pressure bar,industrial computed tomography scan,and scanning electron microscopy(SEM)experiments were carried out on six types of FRCTB.Laboratory outcomes confirmed fiber aggregation at the bottom of specimens.When H/D was less than 0.8,the proportion of PP fibers distributed along theθangle direction of80°-90°increased.For the total energy,all samples presented similar energy absorption,reflectance,and transmittance.However,a rise in H/D may cause a rise in the energy absorption rate of FRCTB during the peak phase.A positive correlation existed between the average strain rate and absorbed energy per unit volume.The increase in H/D resulted in a decreased crack volume fraction of FRCTB.When the H/D was greater than or equal to 0.7,the maximum crack volume fraction of FRCTB was observed close to the incidence plane.Radial cracks were present only in the FRCTB with an H/D ratio of 0.5.Samples with H/D ratios of 0.5 and 0.6 showed similar distributions of weakly and heavily damaged areas.PP fibers can limit the emergence and expansion of cracks by influencing their path.SEM observations revealed considerable differences in the bonding strengths between fibers and the FRCTB.Fibers that adhered particularly well to the substrate were attracted together with the hydration products adhering to surfaces.These results show that FRCTB is promising as a sustainable and green backfill for determining the design properties of mining with backfill.展开更多

Deep mining processes are often associated with rock bursting and high-s...Cemented tailings backfill(CTB) have increasingly been used in recent years to improve the stability of mining stopes in deep underground mines. Deep mining processes are often associated with rock bursting and high-speed dynamic loading conditions. Therefore, it is important to investigate the characteristics and dynamic mechanical behavior of CTB. This paper presents the results of dynamic tests on CTB specimens with different cement and solid contents using a split Hopkinson pressure bar(SHPB). The results showed that some CTB specimens exhibited one to two lower stress peaks after reaching dynamic peak stress before they completely failed. The greater the cement-to-tailings ratio is, the more obvious the strain reaction. This property mainly manifested as follows. First,the dynamic peak stress increased with the increase of the cement-to-tailings ratio when the impact velocity was fixed. Second, the dynamic peak stress had a quadratic relationship with the average stress rate. Third, the cement-to-tailings ratio could enhance the increase rate of dynamic peak stress with strain rate. In addition, the dynamic strength enhancement factor K increased with the increase of strain rate, and its value was larger than that of the rock samples. The failure modes of CTB specimens under low-speed impact were tensile failure and X conjugate shear failure, where were nearly the same as those under static uniaxial and triaxial compression. The CTB specimens were crushed and broken under critical strain, a failure mode similar to that of low-strength concrete. The results of the experimental research can improve the understanding of the dynamic mechanical properties of CTB and guide the strength design of deep mining backfills.展开更多

To ascertain the function of signals,we have to first uncover the reasons behind signal variation.There are several potential driving forces,including background noise,predation cost,receiver perception,and energy lim...To ascertain the function of signals,we have to first uncover the reasons behind signal variation.There are several potential driving forces,including background noise,predation cost,receiver perception,and energy limitations.The energy limitation hypothesis assumes that individuals trade off signal intensity and energy expenditure according to resource condition,while variation of signal intensity likely associates with food availability.This hypothesis has been evidenced by a great number of researches on vocal signals,but no studies evaluated the influence of food availability on motion visual signal in lizards.Here we used an Asian agamid lizard Phr ynocephalus vlangalii and examined the effect of food availability on tail display intensity.We designed two food restriction treatments as well as a nature control treatment,and quantified individual tail display speed and display duration under different food availability conditions.Consistent with our prediction,our results showed that males significantly reduced their average tail display speed and maximum display speed in both food restriction treatments when compared to nature control condition.Therefore,our study provides direct evidence that lizards would trade off their display intensity according to the food condition,suggesting tail display is energetically costly and likely provides honest information on individual body condition and resource hold potential.展开更多
This paper proposes a theoretical method that can be used in calculating the stability of coral reefs or artificial islands.In this work,we employ the variational limiting equilibrium procedure to theoretically determ...This paper proposes a theoretical method that can be used in calculating the stability of coral reefs or artificial islands.In this work,we employ the variational limiting equilibrium procedure to theoretically determine the slope stability of coral reefs covered with hard reef shells as a result of horizontal wave loads.A reasonable functional is proposed and its extremum is calculated based on the conservation of energy.Then,we deduce the stability factor Ns of coral reefs under combined vertical self-gravity and horizontal wave loads,which is consistent with the published results.We compare some classic examples of homogeneous slopes without hard shells in order to analyze the accuracy of results generated by this variational procedure.The variational results are accurate and reliable according to the results of a series of detailed calculations and comparisons.Simultaneously,some other influence parameters on the reef stability,including the top-layer tensile strength of coral reef,the amplitude of wave loading,and the tensile crack,are calculated and discussed in detail.The analysis results reveal that the existence of a hard reef shell could enhance the stability of reef slope and that there is a nonlinear relationship between the stability factor Ns,the shear strength,and the thickness Ds of the covered coral reef shell.Furthermore,the emergence of top-layer tensile cracks on the coral reefs reduces their stability,and the action of horizontal wave loads greatly decreases the stability of coral reefs.Thus,the hard shell strength and its thickness Ds,surface tensile crack,and wave loading require more careful attention in the field of practical engineering.展开更多
Aiming at the noise of helicopter scissors tail-rotor,an advanced numerical method is established by combining computational fluid dynamics(CFD)model with Farassat 1 A(F1 A)formula.In this method,Navier-tokes(N-S)equa...Aiming at the noise of helicopter scissors tail-rotor,an advanced numerical method is established by combining computational fluid dynamics(CFD)model with Farassat 1 A(F1 A)formula.In this method,Navier-tokes(N-S)equations are used as governing equations,and the flow field is solved at quasi-steady and unsteady states in hover and forward fight,respectively,based on two different types of embedded grid systems.A simple and effective solution approach is provided for the generation difficulty of donor cells caused by the close gap among scissors tail-rotor blades.Using the CFD calculation results as input,the thickness noise,loading noise and total noise of tail-rotor are calculated by F1 Aformula.By the method,numerical examples on rotor flowfield and noise are performed and the results are compared with available data.Then,aerodynamic and acoustic characteristics of scissors tail-rotor are emphatically calculated in both hover and forward flight.Furthermore,the research on the effects of blade-tip shape parameters on scissors tail-rotor noise is carried out.Also,the scissors tail-rotor is compared with the conventional tail-rotor,and the results show that in hover,the noise of a scissors tail-rotor is not always the smaller one.展开更多

Here we review work on sexual selection and population divergence in this species complex, focusing on comparative studies among populations and subspecies.We summarize variation in the targets of mate choice and in the information conveyed by sexually selected traits, and conclude that the benefits advertised by different traits may vary geographically. Finally, we consider the role of sexual selection as a driver of population divergence in this widespread and phenotypically variable species complex.展开更多
Objective:To summarize the application value of copy number variant sequencing(CNV-seq)in the detection of fetal chromosome and cytomegalovirus load.Methods:The study analyzed the clinical basic data,relevant laborato...Objective:To summarize the application value of copy number variant sequencing(CNV-seq)in the detection of fetal chromosome and cytomegalovirus load.Methods:The study analyzed the clinical basic data,relevant laboratory tests,treatment process,and outcomes of three patients with positive cytomegalovirus load detected by CNV-seq for fetal chromosomes and cytomegalovirus load,and literature review was done simutaneoubly.Results:In all three cases,the amniotic fluid cytomegalovirus load was less than 105 Copies/ml,and there were no significant neurological abnormalities observed during pregnancy or postpartum follow-up.There is no literature review on the application of CNV-seq technology in the detection of cytomegalovirus infection,only literature reports on genome analysis of CMV-DNA in confirmed patients were available.Conclusion:CNV-seq can be used to detect cytomegalovirus load,which may have a certain degree of predictive value for fetal outcome.CNV-seq can simultaneously detect fetal chromosomes and pathogenic microorganisms,which is of great significance for the prevention and control of birth defects.展开更多

Taking the steep pitch maneuver of a...In this paper, the unsteady effect of airflow is introduced into the calculation of aircraft maneuver load, and the results are compared with those obtained by quasi-steady method. Taking the steep pitch maneuver of an aircraft as an example, two methods are used to calculate the aircraft response after the rudder input is given according to the specifications. The calculation results show that if the peak overload of the aircraft is the same, the horizontal tail load increases by about 1% when the unsteady effect of the airflow is taken into account. If the rudder input of the two methods is the same, the unsteady calculation method will increase more. At the same time, the calculation shows that the bigger the deflection speed of rudder surface is, the bigger the difference between them is. Therefore, in order to improve the design quality of aircraft, it is necessary to introduce the unsteady effect into the calculation of loads in the detailed design stage of aircraft.展开更多

The parameters describing the waveguide discontinuities in disc-loaded waveguide are calculated by the variational method. Then the dispersion characteristics of slow-wave structures are obtained using lossless microwave quadrupole theory. Good agreement was observed between results of the Variational method and those of field matching method and high frequency structure simulator. 为降低实际应用中由强未知干扰和仪器故障对观测造成的影响,减轻随机和未建模干扰对系统的侵蚀,从而提升系统在非高斯噪声环境下的状态估计精度,提高滤波器的鲁棒性能,提出了一种基于高斯-重尾切换分布的鲁棒卡尔曼滤波器(Gaussian-heav...为降低实际应用中由强未知干扰和仪器故障对观测造成的影响,减轻随机和未建模干扰对系统的侵蚀,从而提升系统在非高斯噪声环境下的状态估计精度,提高滤波器的鲁棒性能,提出了一种基于高斯-重尾切换分布的鲁棒卡尔曼滤波器(Gaussian-heavy-tailed switching distribution based robust Kalman filter,GHTSRKF)。首先,通过自适应学习高斯分布和一种重尾分布之间的切换概率将噪声建模为GHTS(Gaussian-heavy-tailed switching)分布,所设计的GHTS分布可以通过在线调整高斯分布和新的重尾分布之间的切换概率来对非平稳重尾噪声进行建模,具有虚拟协方差的高斯分布用于处理协方差矩阵不准确的高斯噪声。其次,引入两个分别服从Categorical分布与伯努利分布的辅助参数将GHTS分布表示为一个分层高斯形式,进一步利用变分贝叶斯方法推导了GHTSRKF。最后,利用一个仿真场景对几种不同的RKFs(robust Kalman filters)进行了对比验证。结果表明,所提出的GHTSRKF算法的估计精度对初始状态的选取不敏感,精度优于其他RKFs,它的RMSEs最接近噪声信息准确的KFTNC(KF with true noise covariances)的RMSEs(root mean square errors),且当系统与量测噪声是未知时变高斯噪声时,相比于现有的滤波器,GHTSRKF具有更好的估计性能,从而验证了GHTSRKF的有效性。展开更多

文摘This paper proposes a theoretical method that can be used in calculating the stability of coral reefs or artificial islands.In this work,we employ the variational limiting equilibrium procedure to theoretically determine the slope stability of coral reefs covered with hard reef shells as a result of horizontal wave loads.A reasonable functional is proposed and its extremum is calculated based on the conservation of energy.Then,we deduce the stability factor Ns of coral reefs under combined vertical self-gravity and horizontal wave loads,which is consistent with the published results.We compare some classic examples of homogeneous slopes without hard shells in order to analyze the accuracy of results generated by this variational procedure.The variational results are accurate and reliable according to the results of a series of detailed calculations and comparisons.Simultaneously,some other influence parameters on the reef stability,including the top-layer tensile strength of coral reef,the amplitude of wave loading,and the tensile crack,are calculated and discussed in detail.The analysis results reveal that the existence of a hard reef shell could enhance the stability of reef slope and that there is a nonlinear relationship between the stability factor Ns,the shear strength,and the thickness Ds of the covered coral reef shell.Furthermore,the emergence of top-layer tensile cracks on the coral reefs reduces their stability,and the action of horizontal wave loads greatly decreases the stability of coral reefs.Thus,the hard shell strength and its thickness Ds,surface tensile crack,and wave loading require more careful attention in the field of practical engineering.
文摘Aiming at the noise of helicopter scissors tail-rotor,an advanced numerical method is established by combining computational fluid dynamics(CFD)model with Farassat 1 A(F1 A)formula.In this method,Navier-tokes(N-S)equations are used as governing equations,and the flow field is solved at quasi-steady and unsteady states in hover and forward fight,respectively,based on two different types of embedded grid systems.A simple and effective solution approach is provided for the generation difficulty of donor cells caused by the close gap among scissors tail-rotor blades.Using the CFD calculation results as input,the thickness noise,loading noise and total noise of tail-rotor are calculated by F1 Aformula.By the method,numerical examples on rotor flowfield and noise are performed and the results are compared with available data.Then,aerodynamic and acoustic characteristics of scissors tail-rotor are emphatically calculated in both hover and forward flight.Furthermore,the research on the effects of blade-tip shape parameters on scissors tail-rotor noise is carried out.Also,the scissors tail-rotor is compared with the conventional tail-rotor,and the results show that in hover,the noise of a scissors tail-rotor is not always the smaller one.

文摘Barn Swallows(Hirundo rustica), a group of passerine birds comprised of six closely related subspecies, are well known throughout their nearly worldwide distribution, in part because of their close association with human settlements.A tractable species for both individual-based and population-level studies, Barn Swallows are a prominent model system in evolutionary, ecological, and behavioral research. Here we review work on sexual selection and population divergence in this species complex, focusing on comparative studies among populations and subspecies.We summarize variation in the targets of mate choice and in the information conveyed by sexually selected traits, and conclude that the benefits advertised by different traits may vary geographically. Finally, we consider the role of sexual selection as a driver of population divergence in this widespread and phenotypically variable species complex.

文摘Objective:To summarize the application value of copy number variant sequencing(CNV-seq)in the detection of fetal chromosome and cytomegalovirus load.Methods:The study analyzed the clinical basic data,relevant laboratory tests,treatment process,and outcomes of three patients with positive cytomegalovirus load detected by CNV-seq for fetal chromosomes and cytomegalovirus load,and literature review was done simutaneoubly.Results:In all three cases,the amniotic fluid cytomegalovirus load was less than 105 Copies/ml,and there were no significant neurological abnormalities observed during pregnancy or postpartum follow-up.There is no literature review on the application of CNV-seq technology in the detection of cytomegalovirus infection,only literature reports on genome analysis of CMV-DNA in confirmed patients were available.Conclusion:CNV-seq can be used to detect cytomegalovirus load,which may have a certain degree of predictive value for fetal outcome.CNV-seq can simultaneously detect fetal chromosomes and pathogenic microorganisms,which is of great significance for the prevention and control of birth defects.
文摘In this paper, the unsteady effect of airflow is introduced into the calculation of aircraft maneuver load, and the results are compared with those obtained by quasi-steady method. Taking the steep pitch maneuver of an aircraft as an example, two methods are used to calculate the aircraft response after the rudder input is given according to the specifications. The calculation results show that if the peak overload of the aircraft is the same, the horizontal tail load increases by about 1% when the unsteady effect of the airflow is taken into account. If the rudder input of the two methods is the same, the unsteady calculation method will increase more. At the same time, the calculation shows that the bigger the deflection speed of rudder surface is, the bigger the difference between them is. Therefore, in order to improve the design quality of aircraft, it is necessary to introduce the unsteady effect into the calculation of loads in the detailed design stage of aircraft.
文摘The variational method is applied to calculate the dispersion characteristics of disc-loaded waveguide slow-wave structures. The parameters describing the waveguide discontinuities in disc-loaded waveguide are calculated by the variational method. Then the dispersion characteristics of slow-wave structures are obtained using lossless microwave quadrupole theory. Good agreement was observed between results of the Variational method and those of field matching method and high frequency structure simulator. In the case of broad band, results of the variational method are better than those of field matching method.
文摘为降低实际应用中由强未知干扰和仪器故障对观测造成的影响,减轻随机和未建模干扰对系统的侵蚀,从而提升系统在非高斯噪声环境下的状态估计精度,提高滤波器的鲁棒性能,提出了一种基于高斯-重尾切换分布的鲁棒卡尔曼滤波器(Gaussian-heavy-tailed switching distribution based robust Kalman filter,GHTSRKF)。首先,通过自适应学习高斯分布和一种重尾分布之间的切换概率将噪声建模为GHTS(Gaussian-heavy-tailed switching)分布,所设计的GHTS分布可以通过在线调整高斯分布和新的重尾分布之间的切换概率来对非平稳重尾噪声进行建模,具有虚拟协方差的高斯分布用于处理协方差矩阵不准确的高斯噪声。其次,引入两个分别服从Categorical分布与伯努利分布的辅助参数将GHTS分布表示为一个分层高斯形式,进一步利用变分贝叶斯方法推导了GHTSRKF。最后,利用一个仿真场景对几种不同的RKFs(robust Kalman filters)进行了对比验证。结果表明,所提出的GHTSRKF算法的估计精度对初始状态的选取不敏感,精度优于其他RKFs,它的RMSEs最接近噪声信息准确的KFTNC(KF with true noise covariances)的RMSEs(root mean square errors),且当系统与量测噪声是未知时变高斯噪声时,相比于现有的滤波器,GHTSRKF具有更好的估计性能,从而验证了GHTSRKF的有效性。
