An Exploration of Higher Vocational English Teachers’Professional Development on Students’Learning Ability in the Context of New Liberal Arts

The concept of New Liberal Arts,a multidisciplinary combined integrator with Chinese values at its core,has brought new challenges to the teaching methods and professional development of higher-level English teachers.Based on the evolving professional development process of higher vocational English teachers in the context of the New Liberal Arts,this article analyzes how English teachers can integrate multidisciplinary knowledge and adopt advanced educational technology in the teaching process.On this basis,it discusses the role of teachers’professional development in enhancing students’learning ability,such as through deepening disciplinary understanding,adopting innovative teaching strategies,and implementing personalized teaching.At the end of the article,based on a variety of pedagogical theories,we put forward suggestions,including continuous professional training,interdisciplinary cooperation,and the application of innovative teaching techniques,which are mainly aimed at helping higher vocational English teachers get rid of the dilemma of the new situation,adapt to the needs of the new liberal arts education as soon as possible,and then effectively improve students’abilities.

Reflections on the Construction of“Double-Qualified”Teachers in Higher Vocational Colleges

Vocational education is an important part of the overall education system.The development of higher vocational education is one of the guiding principles of education in China.The development of teachers is an important support for the development of vocational education.Teachers who can teach theoretically and guide students in practical work are known as“double-qualified”teachers.Building a highly qualified and professional double-qualified teaching team is the fundamental task in modernizing vocational education.Firstly,this paper discusses the importance of“double-qualified”teachers by describing the relevant policies of the Ministry of Education in China.Secondly,it reviews the research works of early scholars.Thirdly,it analyzes the main problems of teacher training in higher education institutions.Fourthly,it proposes five suggestions for the development of a“double-qualified”teaching team in higher education institutions.A high level and professional teaching team is an important support for the high-quality development of vocational institutions.School leaders must attach great importance to the construction of a“double-qualified”teaching team and increase the support in terms of policies,institutional protection,and financial investment.

Practical Strategies to Improve the Quality of Teachers in Higher Vocational Colleges in the New Era

In this paper,practical strategies are proposed to improve the quality of teachers in higher vocational colleges.Research and analyses have shown that the key to improving the quality of teachers in higher vocational colleges lies in the improvement of professionalism,subject knowledge,and teaching ability.Thus,the following practical strategies are proposed:strengthen teachers’moral development,establish a teacher training system,focus on curriculum construction and teaching method innovation,and strengthen the teaching quality monitoring and evaluation mechanism.These measures can effectively improve the quality of teachers in higher vocational colleges and promote the development of higher vocational education.

Study on the Career Development of Young Teachers in Vocational Colleges

The quality of the teaching staff is crucial to the development of vocational education.Skilled and knowledgeable teachers can provide students with specialized technical knowledge and practical skills.In addition to teaching,teachers also act as mentors in providing guidance and support in all areas to students.However,the development of young teachers faces many problems,such as unclear career plans and a lack of attention to operational skills.This paper analyzes the research findings of past scholars and uses a questionnaire to analyze the problems faced by young teachers in their career development.Based on this,this paper puts forward some targeted suggestions,which can provide guidelines for the career development of young teachers.

Survey and Analysis on the Status Quo of Occupational Risk Perception of Teachers in Public Vocational Colleges in an Underdeveloped Area

This paper selects the teachers of public higher vocational college(College A)in underdeveloped areas to participate in the analysis,and conducts a questionnaire survey using the occupational risk perception questionnaire of higher vocational teachers.A total of 223 higher vocational teachers were selected to participate in the survey in order to understand the status quo of occupational risk perception of higher vocational teachers.The survey results show that the Cronbach’sαcoefficient of occupational risk perception scale for higher vocational teachers is 0.846,and the Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin(KMO)is 0.871.The education legal liability risk,workload risk,and career development risk are the highest average occupational risk perception of higher vocational teachers.In conclusion,the occupational risk perception scale of higher vocational teachers compiled in this study has good reliability and validity.The occupational risk perceived by teachers in public higher vocational colleges is relatively high.

Strategies for Informatization Construction of Continuing Education Management in Higher Vocational Colleges:Taking Pharmacology Courses as an Example

In the era of rapid development of informatization,the informatization construction of national higher vocational colleges has been in the period of application deepening.China's education system is deepening to the development of mass education,and higher vocational colleges'adult continuing education plays a great role for the realization of education popularization.With the continuous expansion of continuing education enrollment scale,the diversified development of education mode,the higher complexity of continuing education management and the increase of management workload,the traditional management method has gradually become unapplicable.Higher vocational colleges can greatly improve the management level by promoting the informatization of education management according to their own professional or regional advantages.

Empirical Research on the Status Quo of Teachers of Common Required Courses in Vocational Higher Education Institutions

In order to build a high-quality team of teachers in vocational higher education institutions, and investigate the current situation of teachers of common required courses in vocational higher education institutions of Hainan Province, an empirical research is conducted. A questionnaire survey was carried out in aspects of satisfaction of teaching and scientific research, professional quality, work saturation and teacher’s job satisfaction. The research results shows that the professional quality of teachers of common required courses cannot significantly influence the satisfaction of teaching and scientific research;Job saturation can positively influence teaching and research satisfaction;teaching and research satisfaction can positively influence teachers’ job satisfaction.

Research on Practical Education of Speciality Teachers in Vocational Colleges to Promote Curriculum-based Ideological and Political Education

Curriculum-based ideological and political education is the inevitable requirement of constructing the pattern of ideological and political education in the new era.As the main leader and implementer of curriculum-based ideological and political education in vocational colleges,speciality teachers should take the fundamental task of moral education as the guidance,focus on it through curriculum,promote the organic unity of knowledge teaching,skill improvement and value guidance in the teaching process,and finally form a new ideological and political work mode in line with the requirements of“high-level vocational college and speciality”construction.At present,speciality teachers in vocational colleges have some problems in curriculum-based ideological and political education,which is mainly reflected in some speciality teachers’weak self-consciousness,poor understanding and integration ability.In order to effectively solve the problem,they have to establish the curriculum-based ideological and political education promotion mechanism led by the college Party committee,consolidate the institutional guarantee for speciality teachers in moral education,strengthen their consciousness and awareness,innovate and improve the assessment and evaluation mechanism of their dedicated education.

An Analysis of Teacher's Professional Development of Higher Vocational Education

Teachers are the backbones of any educational institutions. They not only play vital roles in students' development;they also directly affect the stature of their respective scholastic organizations. Highly qualified instructors produce competent and well-rounded students— learners who are more than ready to face the quirks and challenges of the labor force. This paper primarily discusses the following questions: What is teacher's professional development? What is higher vocational teacher's professional development? And how can scholastic institutions promote it? The conclusion states that the characteristics of higher vocational education directly influence the higher vocational teacher's professional development; therefore, it must be nurtured and promoted for the development of all the stakeholders of learning institutions – students, teachers, management staff,the learning institution itself, and the nation as a whole.

Integrating Online Teaching into Public Physical Education - Taking Vocational Colleges in Chongqing as Examples

With China’s comprehensive development of information technology,it is now widely used in the field of higher vocational education,and online teaching has emerged at a critical juncture.In the information age,there are challenges in meeting the actual needs of contemporary vocational students with traditional teaching methods,along with higher vocational training and school-enterprise cooperation and enrollment work taking place.Online teaching can stimulate students’interest in learning,break the limitation of time and space in conventional teaching,as well as improve the teaching efficiency.Therefore,taking higher vocational colleges in Chongqing as an example,this study explores the integration of online teaching into public physical education courses,in hope to provide some reference for higher vocational colleges.

The Teaching Reform of Engineering Mechanics in Higher Vocational Colleges

Engineering Mechanics is an important subject for science and engineering students in higher vocational colleges.The teaching quality of this course has a direct impact on subsequent professional courses.However,there has been a concern about the poor teaching effect of Engineering Mechanics in higher vocational colleges for a long time.In order to solve the problem and improve the teaching quality,this paper expounds some problems existing in the teaching of Engineering Mechanics in higher vocational colleges and proposes corresponding measures for these problems.Educators need to pay more attention to diversified assessment methods and the application of new technologies.Diversified examination methods can improve students’enthusiasm in learning,while new techniques,such as finite element simulation,generate digital materials,making it easier for students to understand abstract concepts.The suggested measures are worthy of reference and should be applied flexibly in the teaching of Engineering Mechanics.

Realistic Dilemma and Solution of “Vocational Skill Test” under the Background of Enrollment Reform of Classified Examination in Higher Vocational Colleges in Jilin Province

In the process of Higher Vocational classified examination enrollment reform,Jilin Province has adopted a diversified examination enrollment model and“cultural quality test+vocational skill test”evaluation method,and established the“vocational education college entrance examination”system.This paper analyzes the important role and practical difficulties of“vocational skill test”in Higher Vocational classified examination,studies the existing problems,and puts forward to reasonably divide the proportion of“cultural quality test”and“vocational skill test”,sets diversified admission standards,scientifically sets up the assessment methods and contents of“vocational skill test”,further improves the“cultural quality test+vocational skill test”evaluation method and builds a classified examination and enrollment system more in line with the characteristics of vocational education.

Research on the Optimization of Talent Recruitment Process in Higher Vocational Colleges under the Background of Double High Plan

In order to elucidate the relationship between talent recruitment and teacher allocation management in higher vocational colleges under the background of the"Double High Plan",this paper studies and analyzes the current status of talent recruitment in Chinese higher vocational colleges in conjunction with the characteristics of talent resource allocation in higher vocational colleges and proposes to elucidate the priorities and improve supporting policies with reasonable planning to improve the optimization guideline of talent recruitment efficiency,so as to better accomplish the building of the national"double high plan"and improve the ability of higher vocational colleges to nurture more outstanding talents for the society.

Research and Analysis of SWOT on Connection between Vocational College Education and Vocational Training

The connection between vocational college education and vocational training is a new way for vocational colleges and enterprises to develop together. At present, vocational college education focusing on the education level of talent training, however, it ignores the needs of workers’ vocational training based on enterprise development planning and training of professional career development. Reflections on the Construction of the Key Elements of Vocational Education and Training System

Campus education and social training are the two most important functions of vocational colleges.Attaching importance to campus education while neglecting social training is a long-standing problem in vocational colleges.Vigorously developing higher vocational education is an inevitable requirement for the high-quality development of education in China and the ardent expectation of the public.Only through the construction a scientific and efficient education and training system and the deep integration of campus education with social training can the design of complementary resources and the improvement of talent training quality take place.The vocational education and training system contains many elements.This study takes teaching resources,teaching staff,and management mechanism as the main research subject and carries out related research work.Firstly,this paper expounds the policy documents of the Chinese government and emphasizes the importance of vocational education.Secondly,the relevant research results of scholars are reviewed.Thirdly,this paper proposes several specific suggestions for the construction of key elements of the vocational education and training system.Then,the main conclusions and prospects are summarized.

Chinese Vocational Students' Motivational Factors Pertaining to Gender within College English Curricula: a Study within a Southwestern Chinese Context

Predominant research within Chinese academic contexts focusing on students’ L2 motivational factors remain rooted inlarge-scale research that does not draw a distinction between students from different regional groups within Chinese higher educa-tion. This research seeks to focus specifically on a less-studied group within the Chinese College English curriculum: vocationalstudents—especially vocational students studying within an educational institution in the southwestern Chinese city of Chongqing.This small-scale survey(n = 129) was conducted in College English classes to determine if the motivational factors of vocationalstudents remained aligned or distinct from those of their peers across Chinese higher education. Subsequent analysis from the sur-vey findings have shown that while gender differences remain manifested and are aligned with established trends and assumptionspertaining to L2 motivational factors within this context, more research is required to delve into the reasons and rationale behindthe choices made by vocational students in southwestern China within this particular survey instrument.
