Acoustic mode is crucial for duct propagation but little study about the relation between serration and mode. Thus, taking axial single-turbine test bench NPU-Turb as object, the effect of Stator with Serrated Trailing-edge (Bionic S) and Rotor with Serrated Leading-edge (Bionic R) on duct acoustic modes of turbine turbulence interac-tion noise were studied in detail using DDES/AA hybrid model validated by acoustic experiment of NPU-Turb. Vibration-based damage assessment is a powerful tool in this regard, as it relies on changes in a structure’s dynamic characteristics as it degrades. By measuring the vibration response of a bridge due to passing vehicles, this approach can identify potential structural damage. This dissertation introduces a novel technique grounded in Vehicle-Bridge Interaction (VBI) to evaluate bridge health. It aims to detect damage by analyzing the response of passing vehicles, taking into account VBI. The theoretical foundation of this method begins with representing the bridge’s superstructure using a Finite Element Model and employing a half-car dynamic model to simulate the vehicle with suspension. Two sets of motion equations, one for the bridge and one for the vehicle are generated using the Finite Element Method, mode superposition, and D’Alembert’s principle. The combined dynamics are solved using the Newmark-beta method, accounting for road surface roughness. A new approach for damage identification based on the response of passing vehicles is proposed. The response is theoretically composed of vehicle frequency, bridge natural frequency, and a pseudo-frequency component related to vehicle speed. The Empirical Mode Decomposition (EMD) method is applied to decompose the signal into its constituent parts, and damage detection relies on the Intrinsic Mode Functions (IMFs) corresponding to the vehicle speed component. This technique effectively identifies various damage scenarios considered in the study.展开更多

First, the acoustic match mode principle between the source modes of rotor stator interaction noise and the propagation modes is presented in this paper. Second, by utilizing this principle, the theoretical prediction method for rotor stator interaction noise generation and its propagation and attenuation in an annular duct with multi treatments is developed. That means that the prediction of sound propagation and attenuation in the segmented ducts might no longer completely depend on the in duct mode measurements, and the investigation on the sound propagation and attenuation in ducts can be accomplished not only by acoustic mode measurement, but also by making use of the source prediction to determine the source modes excited by rotor stator interaction. The effects of fan speed, blade/vane numbers, axial spacing between rotor and stator on the in duct sound attenuation and generated sound power level before and after ducts (also including the sound power level of blade passing frequency and its harmonics at the inlet of ducts) have been numerically calculated by using this prediction method. The reliability of this prediction method is verified by reasonable agreement between the predicted results with measured results in references. By analyzing the results of calculating cases, some reference criteria are provided for the engineering design of the suppressing engine nacelle.展开更多

Consequently, this type of size dependency should be accounted for in the mechanical behaviors of nanoscale structures. In the current investigation, the influence of free surface energy on the nonlinear primary resonance of silicon nanoshells under soft harmonic external excitation is studied. In order to obtain more accurate results, the interaction between the first, third, and fifth symmetric vibration modes with the main oscillation mode is taken into consideration. Through the implementation of the Gurtin-Murdoch theory of elasticity into the classical shell theory, a size-dependent shell model is developed incorporating the effect of surface free energy. With the aid of the variational approach, the governing differential equations of motion including both of the cubic and quadratic nonlinearities are derived. Thereafter, the multi-time-scale method is used to achieve an analytical solution for the nonlinear size-dependent problem. The frequency-response and amplitude-response of the soft harmonic excited nanoshells are presented corresponding to different values of shell thickness and surface elastic constants as well as various vibration mode interactions. It is depicted that through consideration of the interaction between the higher symmetric vibration modes and the main oscillation mode, the hardening response of nanoshell changes to the softening one. This pattern is observed corresponding to both of the positive and negative values of the surface elastic constants and the surface residual stress.展开更多

Based on a lumped model, the parabolic-shaped pulse pair is obtained by controlling the intercavity average dispersion and gain saturation energy, Moreover, pulse repulsive and attractive motion are also achieved with different pulse separations. Simulation results show that the phase shift plays an important role in pulse interaction, and the interaction is determined by the inter-cavity average dispersion and gain saturation energy, i.e., the strength of the interaction is proportional to the gain saturation energy, a stronger gain saturation energy will result in a higher interaction intensity. On the contrary, the increase of the inter-cavity dispersion will counterbalance some interaction force. The results also show that the interaction of a parabolic-shaped pulse pair has a larger interaction distance compared to conventional solitons.展开更多

The many-body structures of the Majorana zero modes in the topological region are given explicitly by carrying out a perturbation expansion up to infinite order. We also give the analytic expressions of the bosonic zero modes in the topologically trivial phase. Our results are generalized to the hybrid fermion system comprised of the interacting Kitaev model and the Su–Schrieffer–Heeger(SSH) model, in which we show that these two types of zero modes can coexist in a certain region of its phase diagram.展开更多

This paper aims to explore the application of the interactive teaching model in college English writing class in order to improve students' motivation and ability of English writing, thus can provide an effective way of learning to the current college English writing class.
文摘The paper discusses a field study of different features of the teaching modes of English teacher and Chinese teacher from the perspective of interactive teaching theory. With survey of the translation course reform experimented in Chinese students classroom, the positive exposure of a foreign teacher combined with the work of a Chinese teacher's help in classroom are inspiring for further remolding of a better teaching mode tailored to some special group of Chinese students aiming for study abroad later. The newly teaching mode developed above would serve as a reference for the teaching field.

文摘The fermionic and bosonic zero modes of the one-dimensional(1D) interacting Kitaev chain at the symmetric point are unveiled. The many-body structures of the Majorana zero modes in the topological region are given explicitly by carrying out a perturbation expansion up to infinite order. We also give the analytic expressions of the bosonic zero modes in the topologically trivial phase. Our results are generalized to the hybrid fermion system comprised of the interacting Kitaev model and the Su–Schrieffer–Heeger(SSH) model, in which we show that these two types of zero modes can coexist in a certain region of its phase diagram.
