Professional certification is an important way to promote professional construction and the quality of personnel training.Undergraduate thesis is an important part of comprehensive training for agricultural students,a...Professional certification is an important way to promote professional construction and the quality of personnel training.Undergraduate thesis is an important part of comprehensive training for agricultural students,and it is also one of the"prescribed actions"of professional certification examination.Based on the perspective of professional certification,taking the graduation thesis of Agronomy Major of Southwest University in recent five years as an example,this paper analyzes the reasons for the gap between the quality of graduation thesis and professional certification standards,and puts forward six paths to improve the quality of graduation thesis of agricultural undergraduates,such as more independent topic selection,more diversified forms,multilink submission materials online,relaxed time,and adding graduation thesis index We should guide the project,link up the construction of professional core courses,build a"learning community between teachers and students".展开更多

Purpose This study elucidates the rationale,implementation,values,and challenges of the Synergized Quality Improvement Program in Teacher Education(SQIPTE)—the first policy specifically dedicated to the development o...Purpose This study elucidates the rationale,implementation,values,and challenges of the Synergized Quality Improvement Program in Teacher Education(SQIPTE)—the first policy specifically dedicated to the development of teaching staff since the founding of the People's Republic of China.Design/Approach/Methods After introducing the primary structure and rationale of the SQIPTE,this study reviews the existing data and research to explain why the program focuses on local normal colleges and determine how it could be implemented more effectively.Findings In establishing group-based assistance under the principle of“1+M+N”(M≥N),the SQIPTE seeks to make normal colleges the primary force in the education of rural teachers and explores a collaborative operating mechanism to this end.Evidence suggests that this innovative program will provide new practical experience for the collaborative development and quality improvement of teachers.Originality/Value This study reviews the SQIPTE as a new Chinese intervention to improve the quality of rural teachers.There is strong evidence to suggest that this innovative program will inspire the construction of collaborative operating mechanisms incorporating multiple resources for teacher education systems across different areas.展开更多
This study investigates the impact of Teacher Professional Development(TPD)on teaching quality and student learning outcomes.Utilizing a mixed-methods approach,the research draws on quantitative data from standardized...This study investigates the impact of Teacher Professional Development(TPD)on teaching quality and student learning outcomes.Utilizing a mixed-methods approach,the research draws on quantitative data from standardized test scores and qualitative insights from teacher interviews and classroom observations.The findings indicate a strong positive correlation between TPD,as measured by self-assessment and peer evaluation,and improvements in teaching practices.These enhancements in teaching quality are further shown to have a significant impact on student learning outcomes,including academic achievement,critical thinking,and engagement.The study also presents case studies that highlight the transformative potential of TPD in various educational contexts.Limitations include the generalizability of the sample and the correlational nature of the study design.The research concludes with policy implications,emphasizing the need for increased investment in TPD,customization of TPD programs,and the promotion of a collaborative culture within schools.Future research directions are suggested to further explore the long-term effects of TPD and the most effective models for professional development.展开更多

Developing a professional ethics is crucial towards amassing the ranks of high-quality teachers,which contributes to the improvement of national education.This study bases its analysis on the survey of humanistic qual...Developing a professional ethics is crucial towards amassing the ranks of high-quality teachers,which contributes to the improvement of national education.This study bases its analysis on the survey of humanistic qualities of Chinese citizens.3348 teachers at three different levels from 31 provinces,autonomous regions and municipalities of China are investigated into their professional moral conducts in terms of sense of responsibility and initiative.The result shows that the professional moral levels differ distinctly among teachers from universities,junior or senior high schools and primary schools.The results suggest that professional ethics is vulnerable to external factors.It is essential for the construction of teachers’professional ethics to improve their moral culture.展开更多
