Material and Methods: This was a qualitative study carried out from Nov...Objective: Study the contribution of the DIVA 3D dissection table in the teaching of anatomy at the Faculty of Medicine and Odontology of Bamako. Material and Methods: This was a qualitative study carried out from November 1 to December 30, 2023 at the clinical and morphological anatomy laboratory of the Faculty of Medicine and Odontostomatology of Bamako. Included in this study were students who participated in practical and tutorial sessions. The variables studied during this study were: the previous performance of dissection on a cadaver by the students, the opinion of the students on dissection on a cadaver, the replacement of dissection on a cadaver by virtual dissection in the absence of a body, the level student satisfaction. Results: We surveyed 130 participants. The average age was 22 ± 0.2 years with extremes of 17 and 29 years. 95.3% of participants were students. According to 66.7% of participants, virtual dissection is a good palliative in the absence of a corpse. 95.3% of participants found using the virtual dissection table easy with an average of 7.88 ± 1.4. The overall assessment was well rated by 99.3% of participants. Conclusion: According to the results of this study, the virtual dissection table should be improved by integrating commented videos. The use of the DIVA 3D virtual dissection table during practical and tutorial sessions is well appreciated by the students. We believe that the teaching of anatomy using 3D digital technology should be included in the study programs of the Faculty of Medicine and Odontostomatology.展开更多
Objective:The study was aimed to assess the knowledge and attitude toward foot care and evaluate the effectiveness of structured teaching program(STP)on the knowledge and attitude of patients with diabetes mellitus re...Objective:The study was aimed to assess the knowledge and attitude toward foot care and evaluate the effectiveness of structured teaching program(STP)on the knowledge and attitude of patients with diabetes mellitus regarding foot care.Materials and Methods:A preexperimental research design was used in this study,which was conducted in medical-surgical wards of a secondary hospital in Northeast India,Nagaland.A total of 30 subjects were recruited by consecutive sampling technique.A closed-ended structured questionnaire and 5-point Likert scale was used to assess knowledge and attitude toward foot care.A STP was administered after which posttest was done after 24 h.Results:The majority(86.6%)of the participants in the pretest had inadequate knowledge and 80%had negative attitudes toward foot care.After STP,70%had moderately adequate knowledge and 53.3%had a positive attitude regarding foot care.The structured teaching program was effective in improving the knowledge and attitude at P<0.01 which is highly significant and there was a significant association between the pretest level knowledge and duration of diabetes at P<0.01.Conclusion:STP was effective in enhancing the level of knowledge and attitude toward foot care among diabetic inpatients.This type of interaction can be organized at regular intervals to reinforce knowledge and attitude toward foot care among inpatients.展开更多

Methods: Enrolled 60 nurses who took the IV infusion therapy training program in our hospital from January 2022 to December 2023 for research. 30 nurses who were trained in traditional teaching models from January to December 2022 were selected as the control group, and 30 nurses who were trained with simulation-based teaching models with methods including simulated patients, internet, online meetings which can be replayed and scenario simulation, etc. from January to December 2023 were selected as the experimental group. Evaluated the learning outcomes based on the Competency Inventory for Nursing Students (CINS), Problem-Solving Inventory (PSI), comprehensive learning ability, scientific research ability, and proficiency in the theoretical knowledge and practical skills of IV infusion therapy. Nursing quality, the incidence of IV infusion therapy complications and nurse satisfaction with different teaching models were also measured. Results: The scientific research ability, PSI scores, CINS scores, and comprehensive learning ability of the experimental group were better than those of the control group (P 0.05), and their assessment results of practical skills, nursing quality of IV infusion therapy during training, and satisfaction with teaching models were all better than those of the control group with statistical significance (P < 0.05). The incidence of IV infusion therapy complications in the experimental group was lower than that in the control group, indicating statistical significance (P < 0.05). Conclusions: Teaching models based on patient simulators combined with Internet Plus scenario simulation enable nursing students to learn more directly and practice at any time and in any place, and can improve their proficiency in IV infusion theoretical knowledge and skills (e.g. PICC catheterization), core competencies, problem-solving ability, comprehensive learning ability, scientific research ability and the ability to deal with complicated cases. Also, it helps provide high-quality nursing education, improve the nursing quality of IV therapy, reduce the incidence of related complications, and ensure the safety of patients with IV therapy.展开更多

Methods: 80 cases of nursing interns in our school were randomly selected for analysis and research from January 2023 to December 2023, 40 cases of traditional teaching methods were named as the reference group, and 40 cases of demonstration and error methods were named as the seminar group and in-depth analysis and evaluation of the teaching effect of the two groups after the implementation of different teaching modes were carried out. Results: The seminar group achieved remarkable results in terms of teaching effect, and the performance of the interns in this group was significantly better than that of the reference group in terms of medical key skills such as aseptic operation technique, intravenous infusion operation, intramuscular injection operation, and catheterization operation, P < 0.05, which is of research value. Conclusion: After the nursing interns received the teaching intervention of the demonstration of the error method, their experimental operation performance and hands-on ability were significantly improved, and at the same time effectively stimulated their interest in learning, which is worth using.展开更多
Objective:To observe and analyze the application of the bedside rhetorical teaching method in teaching nursing interns.Methods:A total of 64 nursing interns in the gastroenterology department of our hospital from July...Objective:To observe and analyze the application of the bedside rhetorical teaching method in teaching nursing interns.Methods:A total of 64 nursing interns in the gastroenterology department of our hospital from July 2022 to May 2023 were randomly divided into two groups,32 cases in the control group and 32 cases in the intervention group.The control group was given conventional teaching methods,and the intervention group was given the bedside rhetorical teaching method on the basis of the conventional teaching.The differences in the methods of teaching between the two groups were compared after the end of the internship,and there was a statistically significant difference with P<0.05.Results:The scores of the interns in the intervention group were significantly better than those of the control group in theoretical knowledge,communication skills,and case analysis items(P<0.05).Conclusion:The bedside rhetorical teaching method transforms classroom education into bedside teaching,which enables the interns to apply the theoretical knowledge to clinical practice,and has a higher improvement in the three aspects of disease knowledge,communication skills,and case analysis,cultivates the interns’comprehensive clinical skills,and lays a good foundation for the future entry into the nursing field.展开更多
Background:Surgical Nursing is a main course of nursing specialty and a large course lasting 96 credit hours.In response to the teaching pain points such as the complicated and boring content of the surgical nursing c...Background:Surgical Nursing is a main course of nursing specialty and a large course lasting 96 credit hours.In response to the teaching pain points such as the complicated and boring content of the surgical nursing course and the disconnection between classroom theory and clinical practice,surgical nursing is undergoing a teaching reform.Methods:The Surgical Nursing course builds trinity teaching model of“online+offline+practice”and implements teaching reforms by combining the Bridge,Objective,Pre-assessment,Participatory learning,Post-assessment,and Summary(BOPPPS)teaching concept.We constructed a trinity teaching model,and these teaching reform measures included building an online learning platform,offline case teaching and scenario simulation and hospital and community practice.The 50 students in the junior year of the undergraduate nursing program in the class of 2020 were used as the study subjects,and the students’comprehensive scores were compared.The questionnaire was also used to assess students’independent learning ability and to evaluate students’satisfaction with the teaching.Results:The students’course pass(≥60 points)rate was 100%,and the excellence(≥80 points)rate was 24.00%.Students’independent learning ability improved,and the scores and total scores of cognitive self-management ability,information ability and learning co-operation ability were significantly better than those of the national norm(P<0.01).The satisfaction of students in the BOPPPS group with classroom teaching was also significantly higher than that of the control group.Conclusion:The“online+offline+practice”trinity teaching mode can effectively integrate the“Rain Classroom”online platform with the BOPPPS teaching mode.It guides students to actively participate in classroom thinking and discussion,improves students’independent learning ability,and effectively enhances the effect of classroom teaching.展开更多

Objective:Despite trials and programs for the prevention of childhood mortality due to pneumonia,Ethiopia is among the top five countries with the highest number of deaths due to pneumonia.Although the prevalence of p...Objective:Despite trials and programs for the prevention of childhood mortality due to pneumonia,Ethiopia is among the top five countries with the highest number of deaths due to pneumonia.Although the prevalence of pneumonia has increased in the abovementioned trials,little is known about the recovery time from severe pneumonia and its predictors in the study area.Therefore,this study aimed to assess the time to recovery from severe pneumonia and its predictors among pediatric patients admitted to Mizan-Tepi University Teaching Hospital,Ethiopia,in 2022.Methods:A total of 591 children admitted for severe pneumonia were selected using simple random sampling.Data were entered into Epi-data version 4.4.2.1 and expor ted to STATA version 14 for analysis,and the assumptions of Cox propor tional hazard models and goodness of fit were assessed through Shoenfeld residual and Cox-Snell residual,respectively.Bivariate and multivariable Cox regression models were used to identify the predictors of mor tality.Results:This study revealed that 91.54%(95%confidence interval[CI]:89.00–93.53)of participants recovered with an incidence rate of 24.10(95%CI:22.15–26.21)per 100 person-day–observations.The hmedian recovery time of children was 4 days(95%CI:2–6).Children who were not exclusively breastfed(AHR=1.3;95%CI:1.03–1.66),who had a history of inability to suck/feed(AHR=0.81;95%CI:0.65–0.99)were independent predictors of the time to recovery.Conclusions:Children with severe pneumonia who had not exclusively breastfed and who had a history of inability to suck/feed were independent predictors of time to recovery.Therefore,all stakeholders and concerned health care providers should focus more on early diagnosis and management and hasten early recovery based on the identified factors.展开更多

文摘Nowadays,the Communicative Language Teaching Approach has gained significant popularity in the field of foreign language teaching.However,there appears to be a stagnation in its application effects.Therefore,this thesis aims to investigate the present state of CLT implementation and identify the factors influencing its execution within English major classrooms at Chinese universities from a student perspective.30 students responded to the questionnaire and 5 students participated in interviews to provide detailed insights.Through analysis,it was observed that CLT has been widely used in English classes and received positive feedback from students.Factors including the Test-oriented Educational system,teacher factors,student factors,and the Chinese traditional Confucius idea about teaching have an important impact on its implementation.Additionally,this article offers potential recommendations aimed at reconciling the CLT Approach with the Chinese educational context.
文摘Objective: This paper is mainly to deeply study and systematically explore the practical application of the error- demonstrating method in the teaching of basic nursing laboratory operation and the impact and effect it produces. Methods: 80 cases of nursing interns in our school were randomly selected for analysis and research from January 2023 to December 2023, 40 cases of traditional teaching methods were named as the reference group, and 40 cases of demonstration and error methods were named as the seminar group and in-depth analysis and evaluation of the teaching effect of the two groups after the implementation of different teaching modes were carried out. Results: The seminar group achieved remarkable results in terms of teaching effect, and the performance of the interns in this group was significantly better than that of the reference group in terms of medical key skills such as aseptic operation technique, intravenous infusion operation, intramuscular injection operation, and catheterization operation, P < 0.05, which is of research value. Conclusion: After the nursing interns received the teaching intervention of the demonstration of the error method, their experimental operation performance and hands-on ability were significantly improved, and at the same time effectively stimulated their interest in learning, which is worth using.
文摘Objective:To observe and analyze the application of the bedside rhetorical teaching method in teaching nursing interns.Methods:A total of 64 nursing interns in the gastroenterology department of our hospital from July 2022 to May 2023 were randomly divided into two groups,32 cases in the control group and 32 cases in the intervention group.The control group was given conventional teaching methods,and the intervention group was given the bedside rhetorical teaching method on the basis of the conventional teaching.The differences in the methods of teaching between the two groups were compared after the end of the internship,and there was a statistically significant difference with P<0.05.Results:The scores of the interns in the intervention group were significantly better than those of the control group in theoretical knowledge,communication skills,and case analysis items(P<0.05).Conclusion:The bedside rhetorical teaching method transforms classroom education into bedside teaching,which enables the interns to apply the theoretical knowledge to clinical practice,and has a higher improvement in the three aspects of disease knowledge,communication skills,and case analysis,cultivates the interns’comprehensive clinical skills,and lays a good foundation for the future entry into the nursing field.

文摘Background:Surgical Nursing is a main course of nursing specialty and a large course lasting 96 credit hours.In response to the teaching pain points such as the complicated and boring content of the surgical nursing course and the disconnection between classroom theory and clinical practice,surgical nursing is undergoing a teaching reform.Methods:The Surgical Nursing course builds trinity teaching model of“online+offline+practice”and implements teaching reforms by combining the Bridge,Objective,Pre-assessment,Participatory learning,Post-assessment,and Summary(BOPPPS)teaching concept.We constructed a trinity teaching model,and these teaching reform measures included building an online learning platform,offline case teaching and scenario simulation and hospital and community practice.The 50 students in the junior year of the undergraduate nursing program in the class of 2020 were used as the study subjects,and the students’comprehensive scores were compared.The questionnaire was also used to assess students’independent learning ability and to evaluate students’satisfaction with the teaching.Results:The students’course pass(≥60 points)rate was 100%,and the excellence(≥80 points)rate was 24.00%.Students’independent learning ability improved,and the scores and total scores of cognitive self-management ability,information ability and learning co-operation ability were significantly better than those of the national norm(P<0.01).The satisfaction of students in the BOPPPS group with classroom teaching was also significantly higher than that of the control group.Conclusion:The“online+offline+practice”trinity teaching mode can effectively integrate the“Rain Classroom”online platform with the BOPPPS teaching mode.It guides students to actively participate in classroom thinking and discussion,improves students’independent learning ability,and effectively enhances the effect of classroom teaching.
文摘Under the background of the new era,higher requirements are put forward for colleges and universities to carry out teaching reform.Teachers of electrical automation control courses should update their teaching ideas regularly,innovate teaching methods,and take novel and effective measures to carry out related work.Because electrical automation control courses tend to be technology-oriented,teachers can help students consolidate basic knowledge.They should also focus on developing practical skills so students can easily adapt to future job positions.However,there are many problems in the actual teaching process,which hampers the improvement of the teaching quality to a certain extent.In view of this,this paper presents an in-depth exploration based on theories and practical experiences.It starts with an analysis of the current teaching status of electrical automation control courses in colleges and universities,followed by suggestions to improve them based on their characteristics and students’needs.
文摘Language and culture are closely related,and understanding the cultural knowledge embedded in the process of language learning is an important goal of English teaching in colleges and universities.At present,the dissemination of Chinese culture in English teaching in colleges and universities is lacking,which affects the improvement of students’intercultural communication skills.In order to effectively solve such problems,we need to take effective measures to disseminate Chinese culture by combining teaching content and students’characteristics.This paper summarizes the problems of Chinese culture dissemination in English teaching in colleges and universities,and explores effective countermeasures and teaching considerations,hoping to provide teachers with valuable guidelines.

文摘This paper discusses the innovative ways of history teaching in depth from the unique perspective of art.By analyzing how artistic elements can effectively enrich teaching means and contents,it reveals the important value of art in history teaching for the improvement of students’comprehensive literacy and further explores the role of art in promoting the modern transformation of history education.At the same time,the article also focuses on the challenges faced in practice,such as the lack of artistic qualities among teachers,the difficulties in integrating art and history,and the differences in students’acceptance.To cope with these challenges,the article proposes specific implementation strategies,including the integration of diversified art resources,innovative teaching methods and approaches,and the construction of a scientific and reasonable evaluation mechanism,aiming to comprehensively optimize the effectiveness of history teaching and further stimulate students’potential for all-round development.
文摘The purpose of this paper is to explore the application of online and offline blended teaching in local anatomy courses of acupuncture specialty.It introduces the concept and characteristics of blended teaching mode and analyzes the respective advantages of online and offline teaching as well as the advantages and application prospects of blended teaching mode.The teaching status quo of local anatomy courses in acupuncture and moxibustion is analyzed,pointing out the problems of the traditional teaching mode and the application prospect of the blended teaching mode.In the practical part,the preparation and design of online teaching resources,the design of offline practical teaching sessions,and the evaluation methods of teaching effect are introduced in detail.This study aims to provide new teaching modes and ideas for teaching acupuncture and moxibustion and promote the improvement of teaching quality.
文摘In this study,the questionnaire“Influencing Factors of Classroom Quality in Higher Vocational Education”was self-compiled.By using the questionnaire survey method,the research conclusion was drawn that the main factors affecting the classroom teaching quality in higher vocational education were teaching and student factors,teacher factors,and classroom factors based on 2,683 samples.According to the research results,the measures to improve the quality of classroom teaching are put forward,in order to provide guidance for improving the quality of teaching in higher vocational colleges.

文摘Objective:Despite trials and programs for the prevention of childhood mortality due to pneumonia,Ethiopia is among the top five countries with the highest number of deaths due to pneumonia.Although the prevalence of pneumonia has increased in the abovementioned trials,little is known about the recovery time from severe pneumonia and its predictors in the study area.Therefore,this study aimed to assess the time to recovery from severe pneumonia and its predictors among pediatric patients admitted to Mizan-Tepi University Teaching Hospital,Ethiopia,in 2022.Methods:A total of 591 children admitted for severe pneumonia were selected using simple random sampling.Data were entered into Epi-data version 4.4.2.1 and expor ted to STATA version 14 for analysis,and the assumptions of Cox propor tional hazard models and goodness of fit were assessed through Shoenfeld residual and Cox-Snell residual,respectively.Bivariate and multivariable Cox regression models were used to identify the predictors of mor tality.Results:This study revealed that 91.54%(95%confidence interval[CI]:89.00–93.53)of participants recovered with an incidence rate of 24.10(95%CI:22.15–26.21)per 100 person-day–observations.The hmedian recovery time of children was 4 days(95%CI:2–6).Children who were not exclusively breastfed(AHR=1.3;95%CI:1.03–1.66),who had a history of inability to suck/feed(AHR=0.81;95%CI:0.65–0.99)were independent predictors of the time to recovery.Conclusions:Children with severe pneumonia who had not exclusively breastfed and who had a history of inability to suck/feed were independent predictors of time to recovery.Therefore,all stakeholders and concerned health care providers should focus more on early diagnosis and management and hasten early recovery based on the identified factors.
