Teachers should provide classroom work which involves students in comprehending, manipulating, producing or interacting in the target language. This paper deals with the importance of effective teaching, the role and the task that a teacher should have in his/her class, using the right techniques and strategies of teaching helping students reach their goals. It is seen not just with theoretical plan but even a practical side of it. What students learn in class cannot be transferred in the real world. To overcome this difficulty, we have to expose them to the real language or situations which are provided by the use of authentic materials. There are made surveys of the teaching process in elementary and high schools in Vlora to conduct this study.展开更多

Therefore, in the skills of reading, writing, listening, interactive speaking, and in the spoken production of giving a speech or presentation, should fall the teacher's (and by extension, his students') competencies--linguistic, sociolinguistic, and pragmatic. This paper examines the successful classroom communication of the Nigerian teacher of English which depends on his ability to manipulate the structures of English accurately, as well as to be able to use this knowledge in different social situations especially for the practice of impartation of knowledge. This paper postulates on the teaching of communicative competence, as it brings teachers to terms with the task of preparing students for their new role in the classroom And, the research recommends strategies to enhance the communicative competence of the Nigerian teacher for effective classroom teaching of English beyond the traditional ESL concems.展开更多
It is believed by both educationalists and policy makers that qualified native speaker English teachers with sound educational background and training play an important role in EFL teaching in China.But research on th...It is believed by both educationalists and policy makers that qualified native speaker English teachers with sound educational background and training play an important role in EFL teaching in China.But research on the attitudes of Chinese university students towards native English teachers has rarely been conducted.This paper aims to investigate the students'perceptions of their own experience in the native speaker teachers'classrooms and identify the students'attitudes towards native speaker English teachers.The conclusion suggests that native speaker teachers use the communicative approach in teaching,and they are also aware of the cultural difference in class and willing to adapt either culturally or pedagogically.The Chinese students have positive attitudes towards native English teachers and would like to work with them for some courses.Meanwhile,they also agree that Chinese teachers of English play an important role,and they need teachers from both cultures.展开更多
Based on the increasingly prominent power of information technology in the innovative development of education,people pay more attention to the information and communications technology(ICT)teaching competency of pre-...Based on the increasingly prominent power of information technology in the innovative development of education,people pay more attention to the information and communications technology(ICT)teaching competency of pre-service teachers.In order to explore the supporting elements,key issues,and possible paths of current normal universities and colleges in cultivating pre-service teachers’ICT teaching competency,this study collects the survey data of graduates from 20 normal universities and colleges at provincial&ministerial,local,and junior levels.Based on the total quality management theory,technology acceptance model,and pre-service teachers’ICT teaching competency framework,it carries out the survey and analysis from three aspects:supporting elements,supporting effects,and ability development.The study finds that the support of personnel,facilities,curriculum,mechanism,and environment provided by normal universities and colleges does not play a full role in improving the ICT teaching competency of pre-service teachers.There are still great differences among different levels of universities and colleges.Among them,the influence of personnel support and curriculum support should be greatly strengthened,and facility support is even more inhibited.Based on these findings,it puts forward some strategies that are conducive to better cultivating the ICT teaching competency of pre-service teachers in the pre-service education stage,to make them adapt to the new standards and requirements for teachers in the new era.展开更多
