The paper presented here investigates the kinds of lexical and grammatical errors made by Chinese EFL college students in their English compositions. Errors are then identified and .categorized to trace their causes. The analysis of the errors along with the interviews of students and teachers show that vocabulary acquisition is one of the most important factors that affect the writing proficiency of the Chinese students especially the college students. Reasons for these errors are analyzed and suggestions are Out forward for reference.展开更多
