Objective:To study the application effect of short video combined with BOPPPS teaching mode in clinical anesthesia practice.Method:48 students assigned to clinical anesthesia in digestive endoscopy of Shanxi Bethune H...Objective:To study the application effect of short video combined with BOPPPS teaching mode in clinical anesthesia practice.Method:48 students assigned to clinical anesthesia in digestive endoscopy of Shanxi Bethune Hospital from July 1,2022 to April 1,2023 were selected as research objects.They were randomly divided into the control group(PowerPoint presentation teaching group)and the observation group(short video combined with BOPPPS teaching group),with 24 students in each group.After the internship,the students’theoretical and technical scores were tested,the effects of the two teaching modes were compared,and the students’satisfaction was investigated.Results:The test scores of students in the observation group were significantly better than those in the control group(P<0.05).The short video combined with BOPPPS teaching mode can significantly improve students’learning interest,operation skills,and memory(P<0.05).The students’satisfaction in the observation group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:In clinical practice,the application of short video combined with BOPPPS teaching mode has achieved great effect,which is worth further promotion and research.展开更多
Based on the CIPP(context,input,process,and product)model,this paper constructs an index system suitable for evaluating the teaching effect of VBSE(virtual business social environment)practical training from four aspe...Based on the CIPP(context,input,process,and product)model,this paper constructs an index system suitable for evaluating the teaching effect of VBSE(virtual business social environment)practical training from four aspects:context evaluation,input evaluation,process evaluation,and product evaluation.Taking the students participating in VBSE practical training in X university as the survey population,381 valid sample data were obtained through an online questionnaire survey,and the index weights were determined by factor analysis method.The score value of the VBSE practical training teaching effect was calculated based on the evaluation mean value of three indexes.The results showed that the context evaluation score was 1.56,the input evaluation score was 1.54,the process evaluation score was 1.51,and the product evaluation score was 1.48.Subsequently,this paper put forward some countermeasures from the aspects of optimizing course arrangement,improving hardware facilities,and enhancing team cooperation to provide a guideline for improving the effect of VBSE practical training.展开更多

Crowdsourcing is widely used in various fields to collect goods and services from large participants.Evaluating teaching quality by collecting feedback from experts or students after class is not only delayed but also...Crowdsourcing is widely used in various fields to collect goods and services from large participants.Evaluating teaching quality by collecting feedback from experts or students after class is not only delayed but also not accurate.In this paper,we present a crowdsourcing-based framework to evaluate teaching quality in the classroom using a weighted average operator to aggregate information from students’questionnaires described by linguistic 2-tuple terms.Then we define crowd grade based on similarity degree to distinguish contribution from different students and minimize the abnormal students’impact on the evaluation.The crowd grade would be updated at the end of each feedback so it can guarantee the evaluation accurately.Moreover,a simulated case is shown to illustrate how to apply this framework to assess teaching quality in the classroom.Finally,we developed a prototype and carried out some experiments on a series of real questionnaires and two sets of modified data.The results show that teachers can locate the weak points of teaching and furthermore to identify the abnormal students to improve the teaching quality.Meanwhile,our approach provides a strong tolerance for the abnormal student to make the evaluation more accurate.展开更多

This paper presents data from the students’ evaluations of t...Introduction: With the introduction of a new curriculum “Modellstudiengang Medizin” in Aachen, the education in medical psychology was also restructured. This paper presents data from the students’ evaluations of the Basic Course in Medical Psychology and the new teaching format “Systemblock Psyche” over a three-year time span. Method: All students were asked to evaluate the courses anonymously online. Effect sizes [1] were calculated to compare acceptance of the different course types and also changes across time. Results: Both the Basic Course in Medical Psychology and the Systemblock Psyche were rated as “good” to “satisfactory” and were in their overall acceptance comparable to other courses and system blocks. Continuous improvement in acceptance was found for the Basic Course (d = 0.30 - 0.57). The Systemblock Psyche received varying evaluations but achieved higher scores on comprehensibility (d = 0.20) and communication among teachers (d = 0.34) than other system blocks. On the other hand, students rated the education in medical psychology as less relevant than other courses (d = 0.28 and 0.77, respectively). Conclusion: Overall, the acceptance rating was satisfactory and comparable to other evaluation studies conducted in earlier curricula. However, ratings of the relevance of the courses in medical psychology were disappointing and indicate the difficulty of teaching a biopsychosocial model to medical students.展开更多
As an institution,Xi’an Jiaotong Liverpool University(XJTLU)is unique in China.It is the only Chinese institution that awards students both UK degree and Chinese degree,so it has two sets of control,one of which is t...As an institution,Xi’an Jiaotong Liverpool University(XJTLU)is unique in China.It is the only Chinese institution that awards students both UK degree and Chinese degree,so it has two sets of control,one of which is to meet all the requirements of the UK Higher Education(HE)standards and the other is to go through all the requirements of Chinese degree awarding powers.Due to its specific relationship with University of Liverpool(UoL),XJTLU is also under close scrutiny from UoL.All of these are reflected in the XJTLU internal and external Quality Assurance(QA)frameworks and procedures.This article focuses on describing and analysing how XJTLU monitors the teaching and assessment processes to meet the UK HE QA standards.Generally,the monitoring system is robust and multidimensional,involving students and peers as observers/reviewers.To understand students’perspectives on the teaching quality and their learning experience,the university provides official channels for students to provide ratings and/or qualitative comments on modules and instructors at the middle and the end of semester,while module instructors are expected to do reflection and revision of their teaching accordingly.In addition to that,each module instructor has to observe a peer’s class annually and engage in dialogues with the peer reviewer before and after the observation.To ensure the quality of assessment tasks and marking standards,module leaders have to actively communicate with internal moderators,UoL moderators and external moderators in the Assessment Preparation Review(APR)and Marking Moderation Review(MMR)processes.In general,the evaluation practice of teaching and assessment plays an important role in ensuring the educational quality is maintained and enhanced at XJTLU and is comparable with international best practice.So far,many disciplines at the university have been certified by international professional organizations,which strengthens the university’s global positioning,and directly improves the competitiveness of graduates in the global job market.The author hopes to provide some insights of the QA practice at XJTLU to help teachers and education administrators in different contexts to understand the benefits and progress to be made in terms of teaching and assessment evaluation to ensure the high quality of student training.展开更多

文摘Traditional art creation design research is a course that cultivates comprehensive talents in the Fine Arts Department of Sichuan University of Arts.This course has been offered over eight terms,and its purpose is to cultivate students’comprehensive design ability.This course aims to cultivate the abilities to create and inherit traditional art as well as to control and study the course of art creation.Based on the teaching practice of this course,the teaching evaluation system is reformed and studied so as to form a better evaluation system for the teaching of art creation.

文摘Smart classroom is an inevitable result of the deepening integration of new-generation information technology and education means,and it is an unavoidable choice of university education informatization in the intelligent era.The Bridge-in,Outcomes,Pre-assessment,Participatory Learning,Post-assessment,and Summary(BOPPPS)model is used to construct the effective teaching mode of a smart classroom based on the analyses of the connotation and characteristics of a smart classroom,and the teaching reform and practice are carried out on the“Road Engineering Construction Technology and Organization”course.Through a questionnaire survey,it is found that the construction of a smart classroom effective teaching model can fully mobilize students’learning enthusiasm and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of students’learning.

文摘Cultivating the top-notch innovative talents is an essential task for connotative construction of higher education.As an applicationoriented discipline,the Discipline of Food Science and Engineering attaches great importance to the cultivation of innovation ability of college students.For a long time,however,the discipline education has problems of the inverted teaching subject position,weak coordination ability and single practice mode.The support for the cultivation of innovation ability is weak and ineffective.Therefore,in the context of professional certification of engineering education,it is necessary to make reform of traditional education mode and improve the carrier support and target acquisition taking the Outcomes-based Education(OBE)as guide,the innovation ability cultivation as objective,to provide effective guarantee for cultivation of the top-notch talents.These have become issues that should not be ignored in the development of the Discipline of Food Science and Engineering.
文摘Introduction: With the introduction of a new curriculum “Modellstudiengang Medizin” in Aachen, the education in medical psychology was also restructured. This paper presents data from the students’ evaluations of the Basic Course in Medical Psychology and the new teaching format “Systemblock Psyche” over a three-year time span. Method: All students were asked to evaluate the courses anonymously online. Effect sizes [1] were calculated to compare acceptance of the different course types and also changes across time. Results: Both the Basic Course in Medical Psychology and the Systemblock Psyche were rated as “good” to “satisfactory” and were in their overall acceptance comparable to other courses and system blocks. Continuous improvement in acceptance was found for the Basic Course (d = 0.30 - 0.57). The Systemblock Psyche received varying evaluations but achieved higher scores on comprehensibility (d = 0.20) and communication among teachers (d = 0.34) than other system blocks. On the other hand, students rated the education in medical psychology as less relevant than other courses (d = 0.28 and 0.77, respectively). Conclusion: Overall, the acceptance rating was satisfactory and comparable to other evaluation studies conducted in earlier curricula. However, ratings of the relevance of the courses in medical psychology were disappointing and indicate the difficulty of teaching a biopsychosocial model to medical students.
文摘As an institution,Xi’an Jiaotong Liverpool University(XJTLU)is unique in China.It is the only Chinese institution that awards students both UK degree and Chinese degree,so it has two sets of control,one of which is to meet all the requirements of the UK Higher Education(HE)standards and the other is to go through all the requirements of Chinese degree awarding powers.Due to its specific relationship with University of Liverpool(UoL),XJTLU is also under close scrutiny from UoL.All of these are reflected in the XJTLU internal and external Quality Assurance(QA)frameworks and procedures.This article focuses on describing and analysing how XJTLU monitors the teaching and assessment processes to meet the UK HE QA standards.Generally,the monitoring system is robust and multidimensional,involving students and peers as observers/reviewers.To understand students’perspectives on the teaching quality and their learning experience,the university provides official channels for students to provide ratings and/or qualitative comments on modules and instructors at the middle and the end of semester,while module instructors are expected to do reflection and revision of their teaching accordingly.In addition to that,each module instructor has to observe a peer’s class annually and engage in dialogues with the peer reviewer before and after the observation.To ensure the quality of assessment tasks and marking standards,module leaders have to actively communicate with internal moderators,UoL moderators and external moderators in the Assessment Preparation Review(APR)and Marking Moderation Review(MMR)processes.In general,the evaluation practice of teaching and assessment plays an important role in ensuring the educational quality is maintained and enhanced at XJTLU and is comparable with international best practice.So far,many disciplines at the university have been certified by international professional organizations,which strengthens the university’s global positioning,and directly improves the competitiveness of graduates in the global job market.The author hopes to provide some insights of the QA practice at XJTLU to help teachers and education administrators in different contexts to understand the benefits and progress to be made in terms of teaching and assessment evaluation to ensure the high quality of student training.
文摘With the advantages of real-time analysis and visual evaluation results,intelligent technology-enabled teaching behavior evaluation has gradually become a powerful means to help teachers adjust teaching behaviors and improve teaching quality.However,at present,the evaluation of intelligent teachers’behaviors is still in the preliminary exploration stage,and the application research is not deep enough.This paper analyzes the application of intelligent technology in the evaluation of teachers’classroom teaching behaviors from the perspectives of evaluation data,methods,and results.Voice print recognition technology is used to recognize the teachers’identities and track the speech in the classroom videos,and the videos are segmented.Then,the evaluation framework of teachers’classroom teaching behaviors is constructed using three dimensions of emotion,posture,and position preference.Finally,evaluation results are presented to teachers in a more intuitive and easy-to-understand visual way,to help teachers reflect on teaching.This paper aims to promote the transformation of teachers’classroom teaching behavior evaluation toward an intelligent,efficient,and sustainable direction through current research.
文摘In this essay the mathematical model of information communication in teaching process is presented. The value of Shannon’s quantity of information in teaching process is defined, so that the problem in using quantity of information to evaluate teaching process can be solved. Through calculating the channel capacity and considering its value, the possible maximum quantity of information transmitted in teaching process can be obtained. Thus, evaluation of teaching efficiency and students’ learning potentiality are realized.

文摘Online teaching is gradually spreading widely,but there are problems in online teaching evaluation,such as lack of reference index,students’learning state feedback being hard to get in real-time.To improve online teaching quality and evaluation,a classroom behavior analysis and evaluation system based on deep learning face recognition technology is proposed.This system conducts the model training and tests on the deep learning development framework(TensorFlow).It implements the frame image processing through the Mask R-CNN network,extracts the skeleton and the angle direction information to establish the vector,thus carries out the classroom behavior recognition and analysis,and serves as the appraisal important index.The behavior analysis is made and the results show that the recognition rate is high and the learning situation feedback is given in real time.The experiment shows that the system has certain robustness and high accuracy in the real scene.It is convenient for classroom teaching management and implementation,and is helpful to improve the teaching quality.
