In what follows, this paper conducted a study of intelligent essay scoring system related to intelligent analysis, intelligent scoring, and intelligent comment of the writing pieces. Also, this paper provided a literature review of existing computer-assisted essay scoring systems and analyzed the advantages and disadvantages of them. Based on these findings in our research, we can conclude that the integrative and holistic computer-assisted TRP can effectively analyze, score, and comment essays, consequently enhancing the writing performance. It is a pilot project which intends to explore, develop, build, collect, select, analyze, and prepare an action plan for that purpose. The strategy is being used at a Federal Institute in Brazil--IF Sudeste MG, Rio Pomba campus. The subjects involved in this process of investigation are students of two classes who attend their first year at High School integrated to technical courses. The methodology involves the use of a school journal as a teaching and learning resource to encourage literary reading and the production of different genres. The goal is to establish an interaction between the reading and writing mediated by a young and playful context offering an additional instrument for instruction, aimed at the use and reflection of the language.展开更多

文摘This paper is my humble opinion on why multimedia should be integrated into the teaching of English for medical purpose (EMP) and how we can make the best use of IT (information technology) in EMP teaching. By combining large amount of medical resources with the content of textbook, computerize teaching material can be produced In which, graphics, pictures as well as animations and flashes are used to present ideas, demonstrate "hard-to-understand" concepts, and more, links provided to explore current data on the web concerning given medical knowledge. It is shown here the multimedia environment provides us a new and desirable approach to enhance the delivery and interactivity of medical linguistic course.

文摘This article proposes a pedagogical strategy to develop proficiency in writing and comprehension in native and foreign languages. It is a pilot project which intends to explore, develop, build, collect, select, analyze, and prepare an action plan for that purpose. The strategy is being used at a Federal Institute in Brazil--IF Sudeste MG, Rio Pomba campus. The subjects involved in this process of investigation are students of two classes who attend their first year at High School integrated to technical courses. The methodology involves the use of a school journal as a teaching and learning resource to encourage literary reading and the production of different genres. The goal is to establish an interaction between the reading and writing mediated by a young and playful context offering an additional instrument for instruction, aimed at the use and reflection of the language.
