We investigate the information exclusion principle for multiple measurements with assistance of multiple quantum memories that are well bounded by the upper and lower bounds.The lower bound depends on the observables'complementarity and the complementarity of uncertainty whilst the upper bound includes the complementarity of the observables,quantum discord,and quantum condition entropy.In quantum measurement processing,there exists a relationship between the complementarity of uncertainty and the complementarity of information.In addition,based on the information exclusion principle the complementarity of uncertainty and the shareability of quantum discord can exist as an essential factor to enhance the bounds of each other in the presence of quantum memory. 展开更多

In the field of target recognition based on the temporal-spatial information fusion,evidence the-ory has received extensive attention.To achieve accurate and efficient target recognition by the evi-dence theory,an adaptive temporal-spatial information fusion model is proposed.Firstly,an adaptive evaluation correction mechanism is constructed by the evidence distance and Deng entropy,which realizes the credibility discrimination and adaptive correction of the spatial evidence.Secondly,the credibility decay operator is introduced to obtain the dynamic credibility of temporal evidence.Finally,the sequential combination of temporal-spatial evidences is achieved by Shafer’s discount criterion and Dempster’s combination rule.The simulation results show that the proposed method not only considers the dynamic and sequential characteristics of the temporal-spatial evidences com-bination,but also has a strong conflict information processing capability,which provides a new refer-ence for the field of temporal-spatial information fusion. 展开更多

In this study, two new diagnosis methods based on the correlation information between sound and vibration emitted from the machine are derived. First, a diagnostic method which can detect the part of machine with fault among the assumed several faults is proposed by measuring simultaneously the time series data on sound and vibration. Next, a diagnosis method based on the estimation of the changing information of correlation between sound and vibration is considered by using prior information in only normal situation. The effectiveness of the proposed theory is experimentally confirmed by applying it to the observed data emitted from a rotational machine driven by an electric motor. 展开更多

The exchanging rate of these three quantities depends on the Rashba strength, and whether the entangled state is generated via direct/indirect interaction. We derive explicit expressions for quantum discord and classical correlation for an X structure density matrix. Based on the characteristics of the expressions, the quantum discord and the classical correlation are easily obtained and compared under different initial conditions using a novel analytical method. We explain the relationships among quantum discord, classical correlation, and entanglement, and further find that the quantum discord is not always larger than the entanglement measured by concurrence in a general two-qubit X state. The new method, which is different from previous approaches, has certain guiding significance for analysing quantum discord and classical correlation of a two-qubit X state, such as a mixed state. 展开更多

By establishing the Markov model for a long-range correlated time series (LRCS) and analysing its evolutionary characteristics, this paper defines a physical effective correlation length (ECL) T, which reflects the predictability of the LRCS. It also finds that the ECL has a better power law relation with the long-range correlated exponent γ of the LRCS: T = Kexp(-γ/0.3) + Y, (0 〈 γ〈 1) the predictability of the LRCS decays exponentially with the increase of γ It is then applied to a daily maximum temperature series (DMTS) recorded at 740 stations in China between the years 1960-2005 and calculates the ECL of the DMTS. The results show the remarkable regional distributive feature that the ECL is about 10-14 days in west, northwest and northern China, and about 5-10 days in east, southeast and southern China. Namely, the predictability of the DMTS is higher in central-west China than in east and southeast China. In addition, the ECL is reduced by 1-8 days in most areas of China after subtracting the seasonal oscillation signal of the DMTS from its original DMTS; however, it is only slightly altered when the decadal linear trend is removed from the original DMTS. Therefore, it is shown that seasonal oscillation is a significant component of daily maximum temperature evolution and may provide a basis for predicting daily maximum temperatures. Seasonal oscillation is also significant for guiding general weather predictions, as well as seasonal weather predictions. 展开更多

Method According to the Standards for Drinking Water Quality ( GB 5749 -2006), monitoring results of Tianjin urban and rural drinking water health in 2013 were evaluated, and software SPSS 20.0 and GeoDa was used for temporal-spatial analysis on water quality. Result There were 2 882 copies of monitoring samples in total, in which both finished water and tap water of urban district were qualified, while qualified rates of tap water and secondary water supply from the county were respectively 86.36% and 93.91%, and major exceeding indexes were pH and total number of colonies. Qualified rates of tap water and secondary water supply from the county had difference(x2 = 1 576.875, P 〈0.01 ). Quality of tap water( X2 = 5.425, P 〉 0.05) and secondary water supply (X2 = 16.009, P 〉 0.05) was stable at temporal distribution ( January-December), but spatial distribution of tap water had certain regional difference(x2 = 1 255.802, P 〈0.01 ). Conclusion General quality situation of Tianjin urban and rural drinking water was better, but qualified rate of water quality in some counties was lower, which had safety risk and threatened the health of residents in the corresponding county. The related departments should enhance the supervision and management of drinking water supply, im- prove supply water quality, strengthen water quality monitoring, and guarantee drinking water safety. In order to explore the correlation between the adjacent segments of a long term EEG, an improved principal component analysis(PCA) method based on mutual information algorithm is proposed. A one-dimension EEG time series is divided equally into many segments, so that each segment can be regarded as an independent variables and multi-segmented EEG can be expressed as a data matrix. Then, we substitute mutual information matrix for covariance matrix in PCA and conduct the relevance analysis of segmented EEG. The experimental results show that the contribution rate of first principal component(FPC) of segmented EEG is more larger than others, which can effectively reflect the difference of epileptic EEG and normal EEG with the change of segment number. In addition, the evolution of FPC conduce to identify the time-segment locations of abnormal dynamic processes of brain activities,these conclusions are helpful for the clinical analysis of EEG. 展开更多

In many previous temperature estimation schemes,the temperature of a sample is directly read out from the final steady state of a quantum probe,which is coupled to the sample.However,in these studies,information of correlations between system(the probe)and reservoir(the sample)is usually eliminated,leading the steady state of the probe is a canonical equilibrium state with respect solely to system's Hamiltonian.To explore the influence of system-reservoir correlations on the estimation precision,we investigate the equilibration dynamics of a spin interacting with a finite temperature bosonic reservoir.By incorporating an intermediate harmonic oscillator or a collective coordinate into the spin,the system-reservoir correlations can be correspondingly encoded in a Gibbs state of an effective Hamilton,which is size consistent with the original bare spin.Extracting information of temperature from this corrected steady state,we find the effect of the system-reservoir correlations on the estimation precision is highly sensitive to the details of the spectral density function of the measured reservoir. 展开更多

In order to investigate the impact of channel model parameters on the channel capacity of a multipleinput multiple-output (MIMO) system, a novel method is proposed to explore the channel capacity under Rayleigh fiat fading with correlated transmit and receive antennas. The optimal transmitting direction which can achieve maximum channel capacity is derived using random matrices theory. In addition, the closed-form expression for the channel capacity of MIMO systems is given by utilizing the properties of Wishart distribution when SNR is high. Computer simulation results show that the channel capacity is maximized when the antenna spacing increases to a certain point, and furthermore, the larger the scattering angle is, the more quickly the channel capacity converges to its maximum. At high SNR (〉12 dB), the estimation of capacity is close to its true wlue. And, when the same array configuration is adopted both at the transmitter and the receiver, the UCA yields higher channel capacity than ULA. 展开更多

In the improved fault detection algorithm, the analysis model of posteriori information with corresponding multi-fault alternative detection points was formulated through correlation information matrix, and the maximum incremental information entropy was chosen as the classification principle for the optimal detection points. A system design example was given to prove the rationality and feasibility of this algorithm.This fault detection algorithm can achieve the purpose of fault detection and resource configuration with high efficiency. 展开更多

Based on the Fokker-Planck equation and the definition of Shannon's information entropy, the time dependence of entropy flux and entropy production can be calculated.
