Methods Take psychological investigation with Scl- 90 at different periods after operation,judge the exsisting negative psychological factors,and find the countermeasure of solution.Enable the patients to break away from the negative mentations in short period.Results Through the 1- week,8- week and 16- week Scl- 90 measurements after operation,we found that all the items’ score of the three times measurement was higher than the usual model(p<0.05),and fluctuated up and down with mental characteristics of different phases.The assessment of the replantation of the severed finger was good. Conclusion The psychological state of the patient would affect the survivial and function recovery of the replantation of severed finger directly.So the psychological rehabilitation nursing should be performed throughout the disease.展开更多
The repair of peripheral nerve injury after complete amputation is difficult,and even with anastomosis,the rapid recovery of nerve function remains challenging.Curcumin,extracted from plants of the genus Curcuma,has b...The repair of peripheral nerve injury after complete amputation is difficult,and even with anastomosis,the rapid recovery of nerve function remains challenging.Curcumin,extracted from plants of the genus Curcuma,has been shown to have anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory properties and to improve sciatic nerve crush injury in rats.Here,we determined whether curcumin had neuroprotective effects following complete peripheral nerve amputation injury.BALB/c mice underwent complete sciatic nerve amputation,followed by an immediate epineurium anastomosis.Mice were intragastrically administered curcumin at doses of 40(high),20(moderate),and 10 mg/kg/d(low) for 1 week.We found that myelin in the mice of the high- and moderate-dose curcumin groups appeared with regular shape,uniform thickness,clear boundary,and little hyperplasia surrounding the myelin.High and moderate doses of curcumin markedly improved both action potential amplitude of the sciatic nerves and the conduction velocity of the corresponding motor neurons,and upregulated m RNA and protein expression of S100,a marker for Schwann cell proliferation,in L4–6 spinal cord segments.These results suggest that curcumin is effective in promoting the repair of complete sciatic nerve amputation injury and that the underlying mechanism may be associated with upregulation of S100 expression.展开更多

Results ...Objective To study the replantation methods of the amputated complex tissue mass of fingers. Methods Nine cases were replanted using the routine method and the artery-vein bridge grafting method respectively. Results All 9 cases survived. At 1 year postoperation, the length of the replanted finger was comparable to that of the healthy side with satisfactory appearance. The average finger function increased 30% when compared with pre-operation one. Conclusion For the amputated complex tissue mass of fingers, routine replantation should be carried out if there was one or two digital proper arteries. BACKGROUND Dedifferentiated chondrosarcoma(DDCS)accounts for 10%of all chondrosarcomas and has the poorest outcome,with a 5-year survival rate of 7%-25%.DDCS commonly occurs in the femur and pelvis,whereas DDCS of the...BACKGROUND Dedifferentiated chondrosarcoma(DDCS)accounts for 10%of all chondrosarcomas and has the poorest outcome,with a 5-year survival rate of 7%-25%.DDCS commonly occurs in the femur and pelvis,whereas DDCS of the finger is extremely rare.Furthermore,the histological findings of preexisting solitary enchondroma samples are important and valuable for diagnosing malignant transformations.CASE SUMMARY We report our experience with DDCS in the proximal phalanx of the left middle finger of an 87-year-old woman.She had undergone surgery for enchondroma,with curettage and artificial bone grafting,11 years ago,in the same location.Several years after the primary surgery,the left middle finger gradually started to enlarge,and the growth speed increased in the past year.Plain radiographs showed an expansive osteolytic lesion with calcifications and residual grafting material.Owing to the suspicion of malignancy,we performed ray amputation.Histological findings revealed an abrupt transition between the low-grade chondrosarcoma and dedifferentiated sarcoma components.The dedifferentiated components showed the features of a high-grade undifferentiated pleomorphic sarcoma.The patient was diagnosed with DDCS arising from a preexisting enchondroma.She had no local recurrence or distant metastasis and died of pneumonia 6 years and 10 months after the second surgery.CONCLUSION The histological findings of a precursor lesion showed a typical enchondroma,suggesting that DDCS can arise from enchondroma.展开更多

It is distinguished from other locations by the local aggressiveness of the tumor and a high rate of recurrence. We report one case of a 25-year-old right-handed nurse with no reported pathological history who complained about an ulcero-budding mass of the right little finger evolving one year ago. She would have initially consulted a bonesetter who would have taken care of her by using decoctions. The hand X-ray showed an osteolytic tumor of the first phalanx of the right little finger with a “honeycomb” appearance invading the soft tissues. We carried out the amputation of the radius. The postoperative course was simple with healing of the surgical wound and disappearance of the axillary adenopathy. The surgical specimen after anatomopathology exam concluded to be a grade 2 giant cell tumor of Senerkin.展开更多
