It was found the proportion of Y...A new type of binuclear europlum β-diketone chelates Eum Y1-m(TTA)3 phen (0≤m≤1) and the influence of the proportion of Y on fluorescence intensity of the Eu-complexes were studied. It was found the proportion of Y3+ could affect the fluorescence properties and the film formation seriously. only m≥0.5.Y3+ could increase the luminescent intensity and improve the film formalion. As a resull. three new binuclear europium β-diketone chelales consisted of Eu, Y1-m (TTA)3phen (m=0.9. 0.7 and 0.5) were designed and synthesized. Their structures were elucidated by IR. UV. DSC and Elementary Analysis. Their PL properties were studied. The results showed that the three binuclear europium β-diketone chelates had better PL properties and film formation than Eu(TYA)3phen. They could emit sharply red light, and fluorescenl wavelength of them was all at 613nm (half bandwidth 10nm). They can be used as red organic electroluminescent materials (OELMs) in organic electrolminescent devices (OELDS).展开更多

Their elemental analysis, molar conductivities and TG-DTA studies indic...Two series of solid complexes of europium and terbium with biphenyl 4-carboxylic acid and phen were synthesized and characterized in this report. Their elemental analysis, molar conductivities and TG-DTA studies indicate that the complexes have the composition of Eu(phen)L3·1/2H2O, Eu0.5RE0.5(phen) L3·1/2H2O; Tb (phen) L3·H2O and Tb0.5 RE0.5(Phen)L3·1/2H2O. (RE = Y3+, La3+ and Gd3+; L = biphenyl 4-carboxylic acid; phen = o-Phenanthroline). The studies of their IR, UV 1H NMR and molar conductivities demonstrate that biphenyl 4-carboylic acid is bounded with RE (III ) ion. Rare earth ions coordinate with two nitrogen atoms of phen molecules directly in these rare earth complexes. The fluorescence spectra and fluorescence lifetimes of the rare earth complexes show that the fluorescent intensity and lifetime of a series of europium complexes are longer than those of the series of terbium complexes as having the some ligands. There are better fluorescent intensity and lifetime of hetero-nuclear rare earth complexes than homo-nuclear rare earth complexes for europium complexes. The fluorescence emission intensity of Eu3 + is raised by inert fluorescent rare earth ions (Y3+ , Gd3+ and La3+ ), but in Tb3+ hetero-nuclear rare earth complexes the intensity of Tb3+ ions are quenched by the inert fluorescent rare earth ions.展开更多

By replacing half of the europium or terbium ion with M (M = Zn^2+, Cd^2+, and Cr^3+) using the doped method, and then incorporating it with 18-crown-6 ether and terephthalic acid, six heteronuclear samples EuZnLL'Cl3·3H2O(1), EuCdLL2'Cl3·5H2O(2), EuCrLL'Cl4· 4H2O(3), TbZnLL'Cl3·4H2O(4), TbCdLL'2Cl3·4H2O(5), and TbCrLL'2Cl4 ·4H2O(6) (L = terephthalic acid, L'= 18-Crown-6 ether) were obtained. The elemental analysis, molar conductivities, rare earth complexometry, Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FT-IR), ultraviolet (UV), TGA, fluorescence intensity, and fluorescence lifetime of the samples were measured. The results showed that there were good luminescence properties for heteronuclear complexes (1), (2), (4), and (5), which were even stronger than those of the homonuclear complexes Eu2LL'2Cl4·4H2O and Tb2LL'2Cl4 ·4H2O, but the luminescence properties of EuCrLL'Cl4·4H2O, TbCrLL'Cl4·4H2O were very weak. With the polymerization of EMA monomer and the formation of europium and terbium coordination polymers of pyridiae- 3-carboxylic acid, the transparent hybrid thick fihns composed of [ Eu( NIC )3 ]n ( [ Tb( NIC)3 ]n ) and poly ethyl mettuwrylate ( PEMA ) have been prepared. The luminescence properties and energy transfer of these polymeric composites were studied with absorption spectra, fluorescent excitation trod emission spectra in detail. All the hybrid thick films composed of terbium coordination polymer show the characteristic strong green emission of terbium ions, which implies the same energy transfer mechanism as the pure complex and the hybrid composite film is a suitable sabstrate for the luminescence of terbium ions. In the range of camposing concentration of luminescent species (0.01,0.025,0.05,0.1 mmol /15 mL EMA ), emission intensities increase with the increasing of corresponding composing concentration and the concentration quenching effect does not take place.展开更多

The pr...The synthesis of the thenoyltrifluoroacetone compound doped with terbium, dysprosium and europium encapsulated in a silica matrix (TTA:Tb:Dy:Eu@SiO<sub>2</sub>) were performed by the sol-gel method. The precursors to obtain the vitreous phase (SiO<sub>2</sub>) were: Tetraethylorthosilicate (TEOS, C<sub>8</sub>H<sub>2</sub>O<sub>4</sub>Si, 98%, Aldrich), and ethyl alcohol (CH<sub>3</sub>CH<sub>2</sub>OH, 99.5%, Meyer), distilled water and 0.05 ml of hydrochloric acid (HCl, Meyer). The sample with molar ratio 20:80 TTA:Tb:Dy:Eu@SiO<sub>2</sub> has the best emission intensity. Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) shown that silica encapsulated samples decompose at lower temperatures than pure TTA:Tb:Dy:Eu luminescent material. Fourier Transform Infrared (IR-TF) shown the characteristic Si-O-Si bands that are presented at a wavelength of 1049, 853 and 440 cm<sup><span style="color:#4F4F4F;font-family:-apple-system, "font-size:16px;white-space:normal;background-color:#FFFFFF;">-</span>1</sup> confirming that the luminescent material is encapsulated in a silica matrix, finally X-ray diffraction (XRD) shown that TTA:Tb:Dy:Eu@SiO2 composite is amorphous.展开更多

Coordination chemistry of rare-earth elements has been dominated by the+3 oxidation state.Complexes with higher-valence lanthanide ions are synthetically challenging but are of fundamental research interest and signif...Coordination chemistry of rare-earth elements has been dominated by the+3 oxidation state.Complexes with higher-valence lanthanide ions are synthetically challenging but are of fundamental research interest and significance as advanced molecular materials.Herein,four tetravalent terbium complexes(2-5)of the common formula[Tb(OSiPh3)4L](L=ethylene glycol dimethyl ether(DME),2,2’-bipyridine(bpy),2,2’-bipyrimidine(bpym),and 1,10-phenanthroline(phen))are reported.Crystallographic analyses reveal in each of these complexes a hexacoordinate Tb(IV)ion situated in a distorted octahedral coordination environment formed by four triphenylsi-loxido ligands and a bidentate chelating ligand.The use of chelating ligands enhances the stability of the resulting complexes over their THF solvate precursor.More significantly,the aromatic N-chelating ligands have been found to tune effectively the electronic structures of the complexes,as evidenced by the sizable potential shifts observed for the quasi-reversible redox Tb(IV/III)process and by the changes in their absorption spectra.The experimental findings are augmented with quantum theoretical calculations in which the ligandπ-donation to the 5d orbitals of the Tb(IV)center is found to be primarily responsible for stability enhancement and the corresponding changes of physical properties observed.Magnetic measurements and results from electron paramagnetic resonance studies produced small absolute values of zero-field splittings of these complexes,ranging from 0.1071(22)to 1.1484(112)cm-1 and comparable to the values reported for analogous Tb(IV)complexes.展开更多

Its structure was elucidated by IR, UV, and Elemental Analysis. Red light emitting diode (LED) was fabricated by using the novel europium complex as an emitting layer, tris(8-quinolinolate) aluminum (III) (Alq(3)) as an electron-transporting layer, N, N'-diphenyl-N, N'-(3-methylphenyl)-1,1'-biphenyl-4,4'-diamine (TPD) as a hole-transporting layer. A cell structure of indium-tin-oxide/TPD/Eu-complex/Alq(3)/Mg: Ag was employed. Red electroluminescence was observed at room temperature with dc bias voltage of 2 V in this cell. 2 Red emission peaks at about 613 nm with maximum luminance of over 106 cd/m(2). Compared with the EL luminance from those europium complexes reported before, one from the Eu-complex is best in the same cells.展开更多

文摘Coordination chemistry of rare-earth elements has been dominated by the+3 oxidation state.Complexes with higher-valence lanthanide ions are synthetically challenging but are of fundamental research interest and significance as advanced molecular materials.Herein,four tetravalent terbium complexes(2-5)of the common formula[Tb(OSiPh3)4L](L=ethylene glycol dimethyl ether(DME),2,2’-bipyridine(bpy),2,2’-bipyrimidine(bpym),and 1,10-phenanthroline(phen))are reported.Crystallographic analyses reveal in each of these complexes a hexacoordinate Tb(IV)ion situated in a distorted octahedral coordination environment formed by four triphenylsi-loxido ligands and a bidentate chelating ligand.The use of chelating ligands enhances the stability of the resulting complexes over their THF solvate precursor.More significantly,the aromatic N-chelating ligands have been found to tune effectively the electronic structures of the complexes,as evidenced by the sizable potential shifts observed for the quasi-reversible redox Tb(IV/III)process and by the changes in their absorption spectra.The experimental findings are augmented with quantum theoretical calculations in which the ligandπ-donation to the 5d orbitals of the Tb(IV)center is found to be primarily responsible for stability enhancement and the corresponding changes of physical properties observed.Magnetic measurements and results from electron paramagnetic resonance studies produced small absolute values of zero-field splittings of these complexes,ranging from 0.1071(22)to 1.1484(112)cm-1 and comparable to the values reported for analogous Tb(IV)complexes.

文摘A novel binuclear europium P-diketone complex with squaric acid ligand was synthesized for the first time. Its structure was elucidated by IR, UV, and Elemental Analysis. Red light emitting diode (LED) was fabricated by using the novel europium complex as an emitting layer, tris(8-quinolinolate) aluminum (III) (Alq(3)) as an electron-transporting layer, N, N'-diphenyl-N, N'-(3-methylphenyl)-1,1'-biphenyl-4,4'-diamine (TPD) as a hole-transporting layer. A cell structure of indium-tin-oxide/TPD/Eu-complex/Alq(3)/Mg: Ag was employed. Red electroluminescence was observed at room temperature with dc bias voltage of 2 V in this cell. 2 Red emission peaks at about 613 nm with maximum luminance of over 106 cd/m(2). Compared with the EL luminance from those europium complexes reported before, one from the Eu-complex is best in the same cells.
文摘Two new binuclear (europium and lanthanum) beta-diketone complexes Eu0.9La0.1(TTA)(3)Phen and Eu0.5La0.5(TTA)(3)Phen in which Phen is 1,10-phenanthroline, TTA is an anion of thenoyltrifluoroacetone (HTTA) were synthesized for the first time. They showed intense photoluminescence (PL) and mechanoluminescence (ML), and had their maximum PL and ML spectra peaked at 613.5 nm with half bandwidth of 10 nm respectively. Their PL and ML intensity were obviously stronger than these from Eu(TTA)(3)Phen. It is considered that binuclear (europium and lanthanum) beta-diketones complexes are promising ML and PL materials.
