TiO2-coated carbon felt(TCF)composite catalysts have been prepared via a supercritical treatment of titanium tetraisopropoxide(TTIP)as the precursor.The physical properties of the catalysts were characterized by means of thermogravimetric and differential thermal analysis(TG–DTA),X-ray diffraction(XRD),fluorescence spectroscopy,scanning electron microscopy (SEM),and BET surface areas techniques.The photocatalytic activities of the materials were evaluated using the degradation of Congo red(CR)as a probe reaction.All the composites showed much higher photocatalytic activity than commercial P25 due to significant synergistic effects.Reused TCF retained high photocatalytic activity for degradation of CR.The photocatalytic efficiency in CR degradation was found to be strongly dependent on the TiO2-coating ratio and calcination temperature.A possible mechanism for the enhanced reactivity involves shuttling of electrons from TiO2 particles to the carbon felt(CF)as a result of an optimal arrangement in TCF that stabilizes charge separation and reduces charge recombination.In addition to the significant synergistic effects,the abundant spaces between adjacent carbon fibers allow UV light to penetrate into the felt-like photocatalyst to a considerable depth,so that a three-dimensional environment is available for the photocatalytic reaction. 展开更多

The hydrated titanium dioxide was synthesized as the precursor of TiO2-xNx using titanic acid as raw material,which came from sulfate technique of produc-ing titanium white. The effects of temperature and reaction time on the nitrogen content,grain size and crystal structure were studied. TiO2 is the most photoactive material because of its superstrong photooxidizing ability,and TiO2 photocatalysis has been widely applied in sustainable water treatment and environmental remediation.However,poor sunlight or visible-light harvesting efficiency and fast recombination rate of the photogenerated charge carriers severely limit the practical applications of TiO2.To overcome these problems,the present work demonstrates a facile in-situ co-condensation method combined with hydrothermal treatment to prepare a series of graphitized carbon/TiO2 composite photocatalysts,and anatase TiO2 phase andp-p-conjugated polycyclic aromatic carbon structure are created simultaneously.As-prepared TiO2/C composites exhibit remarkably high visible-light photocatalytic activity in the degradation of aqueous emerging phenolic pollutants,acetaminophen(APAP)and methylparaben(MPB),and apparent rate constant of the TiO2/C composite with carbon doping level of 10.3%for APAP and MPB removal is 7.6 and 2.8 times higher than that of bare TiO2,and 6.2 and 2.6 times higher than that of Degussa P25 TiO2.Based on the results of photoelectrochemical experiments,indirect chemical probe measurements,and ESR spectroscopy,it is verified that doping TiO2 with graphitized carbon is responsible for this enhanced photocatalytic activity,which renders the improved visible-light harvesting ability,the accelerated separation of the photogenerated charge carriers,and enlarged BET surface areas.Through analyzing the intermediates yielded in the photodegradation process,the pathway of visible-light photocatalytic degradation of APAP and MPB over the TiO2/C composite is proposed. 展开更多

A novel photocatalytic regenerationable AC was prepared by sol-gel TiO2 in this work. The adsorption and regeneration performance of TiO2/AC were evaluated using phenol as model compound. Scanning electron microscope (SEM) and nitrogen (77 K) adsorption isotherm were used to determine the surface area, pore structure and the distribution of TiO2. The results showed that with the increase of TiO2 loading, adsorption capacity of TiO2/AC decreased and the regeneration efficiency increased. The photocatalytic regenerationable AC with suitable TiO2 loading (2 wt%) exhibited suitable adsorption capacity and regeneration efficiency. TiO2 located mainly in the entrance of macro-pore of carbon. The prepared TiO2/AC exhibited similar surface structure and pore structure with material carbon. 展开更多

A batch fixed bed photoreactor,using felt-form activated carbon fibers(ACF)supported TiO2 photocatalyst(TiO2/ACF),was developed to carry out photocatalytic degradation of methylene blue(MB)solution.The effects of TiO2 particle size,loaded TiO2 amount,initial MB concentration,airflow rate and successive run on the decomposition rate were investigated.The results showed that photodegradation process followed a pseudo-first-order reaction kinetic law.The apparent first-order reaction constant kapp was larger than 0.047 min- 1 with half reaction time t1/2 shorter than 15 min,which was comparable to reported data using suspended Degussa P-25 TiO2 particles.The high degradation rate was mainly attributed to adsorption of MB molecules onto the surface of TiO2/ACF.The photocatalytic efficiency still remained nearly 90%after 12 successive runs,showing that successive usage of the designed photoreactor was possible.The synergic enhancement effect in combination of adsorption with ACF and photodegradation with TiO2 was proved by comparing MB removal rates in the successive degradation and adsorption runs,respectively. 展开更多

Applying quantitative temporal analysis of products reactor measurements, we studied the reactive removal of active oxygen present on Au/TiO2 catalysts after calcination at elevated temperatures (400 &#176;C) by CO pulses and its replenishment by O2 pulses at 80 &#176;C, focusing on the nature of the active oxygen species. In contrast to previous studies, which mainly focused on and clarified the nature of the active oxygen species for the catalytic CO oxidation, which is reversibly formed and replenished under typical reaction conditions, this study demonstrates that directly after calcina‐tion an additional oxygen species is present. This species is also active for the CO oxidation, but it is not or only very little formed under typical reaction conditions. Implications of these results on the mechanistic understanding of the CO oxidation on Au/TiO2, in particular on the role of different active oxygen species, will be discussed. 展开更多

A commercially pure titanium sheet precipitated TiC in the surface layer was fabricated by anodic oxidation in NH4NO3 solution and heat treatment in air. The fabricated sheet showed relatively high photocatalytic activity in 0.1 M KI solution, which was close to the activity level of the P-25 particle made by Degussa Corporation. It exhibited photocatalytic activity in antifungal and antivirus tests under black light irradiation. The better photocatalytic activity under black light irradiation is considered to be related to the formation of anatase and rutile type titanium dioxides and rough surface. It also showed photocatalytic activity under visible light irradiation, which is considered to be attributable to carbon and nitrogen doping in titanium dioxide. 展开更多

光催化技术在水中新型污染物的治理中应用广泛。自敏性氮化碳(SSCN)是一种新型非金属光催化剂,其表面的自敏性高分子可以有效地拓宽可见光吸收范围,但该材料存在严重的团聚现象,抑制了其光催化活性和稳定性。SiO_(2)的分散性好,被广泛... 光催化技术在水中新型污染物的治理中应用广泛。自敏性氮化碳(SSCN)是一种新型非金属光催化剂,其表面的自敏性高分子可以有效地拓宽可见光吸收范围,但该材料存在严重的团聚现象,抑制了其光催化活性和稳定性。SiO_(2)的分散性好,被广泛用作载体构建复合结构应用于光催化领域。本研究首先用Stöber法制备了SiO_(2)微球,随后利用水热法原位合成了SiO_(2)/SSCN复合材料。采用多种表征手段分析样品的物相结构、微观形貌、光电性能。制备的复合材料在光催化降解水中盐酸四环素中表现出增强的降解活性,其活性与SiO_(2)加入量密切相关,当SiO_(2)与SSCN的质量比为0.04∶1时,复合材料的光催化活性和稳定性最佳,光照60 min可降解42%的盐酸四环素,经5次循环后其光催化降解效率仍然能够维持约38%。引入的SiO_(2)为SSCN提供了分散位点,改善了SSCN较为严重的团聚现象,使SSCN表面的1,3,5-三嗪基低聚物(TBO)快速分解后达到表面活性位点暴露的最佳含量,提升了SSCN对可见光的利用率,促进了光生电荷的分离效率,从而有效地提升了SSCN的光催化活性及稳定性。本研究为提高催化剂的光催化活性和稳定性及治理新型污染物提供了一个新思路。 展开更多

To tackle the crisis of global warming, it is imperative to control and mitigate the atmospheric carbon dioxide level. Photocatalytic reduction of carbon dioxide into solar fuels furnishes a gratifying solution to utilize and reduce carbon dioxide emission and simultaneously generate renewable energy to sustain the societies. So far, titanium oxide-based semiconductors have been the most prevalently adopted catalysts in carbon dioxide photoreduction. This mini-review provides a general summary of the recent progresses in titanium oxide- catalyzed photocatalytic reduction of carbon dioxide. It first illustrates the use of structural engineering as a strategy to adjust and improve the catalytic performances. Then, it describes the introduction of one/two exogenous elements to modify the photocatalytic activity and/or selectivity. Lastly, it discusses multi-component hybrid titanium oxide composites. 展开更多

随着汽车尾气对空气质量的负面影响日益严重,光催化技术在环保领域的应用逐渐受到重视。因此,基于二氧化钛(TiO_(2))和石墨相氮化碳(g-C_(3)N_(4))的光催化性能,制备了一种g-C_(3)N_(4)/TiO_(2)复合光催化剂,旨在提高汽车尾气的降解效率... 随着汽车尾气对空气质量的负面影响日益严重,光催化技术在环保领域的应用逐渐受到重视。因此,基于二氧化钛(TiO_(2))和石墨相氮化碳(g-C_(3)N_(4))的光催化性能,制备了一种g-C_(3)N_(4)/TiO_(2)复合光催化剂,旨在提高汽车尾气的降解效率,即:选用三聚氰胺(C_(3)H_(6)N_(6))、双氰胺(C_(2)H_(4)N_(4))和尿素(CH4N2O)作为前驱体制备g-C_(3)N_(4),通过质量损失和尾气降解实验分析筛选出最佳前驱体,并设计了不同质量比的g-C_(3)N_(4)/TiO_(2)复合光催化剂;通过对比分析单体和复合光催化剂的光催化性能,确定了复合光催化剂的最佳质量比。实验结果表明:制备g-C_(3)N_(4)的最佳前驱体为C_(3)H_(6)N_(6),当复合光催化剂的最佳质量比为C_(3)H_(6)N_(6)∶TiO_(2)=2∶1时,复合光催化剂的降解效率达到最佳;g-C_(3)N_(4)/TiO_(2)复合光催化剂在60 min内对HC、CO和NO_(x)的降解率分别为16.12%、16.87%和45.37%,其降解效率明显高于单体TiO_(2)。该研究结果为进一步优化光催化技术提供了有益的参考,有助于推动其在环保领域的应用和发展。 展开更多

设计溶胶–凝胶结合浸渍–提拉技术,将具有优异光催化氧化性能的TiO_(2)/V_(C)-CN粉末涂覆在石英光纤上,开发光纤负载TiO_(2)/V_(C)-CN薄膜光催化反应器。在模拟太阳光辐射下,考察了光纤负载TiO_(2)/V_(C)-CN薄膜降解实际工业污水及其... 设计溶胶–凝胶结合浸渍–提拉技术,将具有优异光催化氧化性能的TiO_(2)/V_(C)-CN粉末涂覆在石英光纤上,开发光纤负载TiO_(2)/V_(C)-CN薄膜光催化反应器。在模拟太阳光辐射下,考察了光纤负载TiO_(2)/V_(C)-CN薄膜降解实际工业污水及其水中混合有机污染物的性能,以及催化剂薄膜的循环使用情况。研究表明,将TiO_(2)/V_(C)-CN异质结优异的光催化氧化性能与光纤独特的光传播方式相结合,实现了实际工业污水的高效降解,模拟太阳光辐射8 h后,模拟污水的COD去除率达60.9%。此外,污水中的混合有机污染物均可被有效降解。重要的是,光纤负载TiO_(2)/V_(C)-CN薄膜具有良好的循环使用性能,循环使用过程中无需分离催化剂且可基本保持其活性无明显降低。 展开更多

以具有直通孔的成型支承体胶粘活性炭 ( AC)为复合载体 ,采用浸涂法在复合载体上形成纳米二氧化钛光催化剂薄壳层 ,制备出可用于室内空气净化的活性炭 -纳米二氧化钛光催化净化网。对其净化性能考察结果表明 ,以功率为 6 W、波长 2 54n... 以具有直通孔的成型支承体胶粘活性炭 ( AC)为复合载体 ,采用浸涂法在复合载体上形成纳米二氧化钛光催化剂薄壳层 ,制备出可用于室内空气净化的活性炭 -纳米二氧化钛光催化净化网。对其净化性能考察结果表明 ,以功率为 6 W、波长 2 54nm的紫外杀菌灯照射 3h,其甲苯净化率为 98.8%,三氯乙烯 ( TCE)净化率为 99.5%,硫化氢净化率为 99.6 %,氨气净化率为 96 .5%,甲醛净化率为 98.5%,一氧化碳净化率为 6 0 .1 %。通过对比实验还表明 ,所研制的复合型空气净化网具有单纯活性炭、单纯光催化剂 Ti O2 、活性炭与二氧化钛简单混合等净化网所不具备的综合优势 ,通过复合提高了光催化效率 ,同时达到活性炭原位再生的目的。 展开更多
