Objective:To explore experiences of Chinese nurses who study for Master of Science in Professional Practice(health care)in the United Kingdom.Methods:A qualitative approach was applied,consisting of semi-structured telephone interviews(n=8).The Colaizzi seven-step framework analysis method was used to extract themes.Results:The themes that emerged are as follows:(1)gains from studying overseas,(2)difficulties during studying,and(3)impacts of learning experience on work.The gains for nurses studying overseas include the improvement of scientific research capabilities,reconstruction of critical thinking,and development of reflection ability.Difficulties while studying mainly include language barrier,strict assessment,and boring life.Conclusions:The education of nursing postgraduate attaches impor tance to the cultivation of thinking.Nurses are very interested in nursing research including qualitative and quantitative methods.Nurses encountered language barriers in their study and life even though they knew a cer tain level of English. 展开更多

In 21st Century, Chinese and American universities are experiencing great development in the number of students studying abroad. This research adopts the method of natural investigation, selecting Chinese student samples during study abroad program in the University of Minnesota to complete the designed questionnaires to examine the intercultural interventions taken before, during and after this type of study abroad in Chinese universities. Also, after students complete the questionnaires, email communication is made to analyze the reasons for their answers to the questionnaires. The questionnaire results and email communication show that there is a great gap in the practice of intercultural interventions in study abroad programs between Chinese universities and students expectations. It is time for Chinese universities to design appropriate intercultural interventions in order to maximize Chinese university students' intercultural development during study abroad. These intercultural interventions should be run consistently to cover the phrases of pre-departure, during and after the study abroad program. Also, more dynamic and interactive intercultural interventions rather than knowledge-based intercultural instructions or guidance should be the focus for intercultural interventions. 展开更多

Chinese Studies in Japan originates from the deeper tradition of Sinology. And the socalled "Sinology" refers to the study of annotations in the Han Dynasty, i.e., the predecessor of the textual research in the Qing Dynasty. Japanese scholars tend to prefer facts and problems to theories and doctrines. Their essays or papers are not to find facts for arguments and frameworks but to discuss matters and imply arguments in factual statements. 拼音转码对汉语二语听力理解水平的影响——来自路径效应分析的证据

汉字不直接表音,汉语拼音转码水平对汉语二语听力理解的认知作用是汉语国际教育中的重要理论问题。本研究采用路径分析方法考察138名初、中、高汉语水平在华留学生拼音转码、汉字产出及汉语听力理解水平之间的关系,其中拼音转码测查包... 汉字不直接表音,汉语拼音转码水平对汉语二语听力理解的认知作用是汉语国际教育中的重要理论问题。本研究采用路径分析方法考察138名初、中、高汉语水平在华留学生拼音转码、汉字产出及汉语听力理解水平之间的关系,其中拼音转码测查包含了听觉、视觉两个通道的任务。结果发现:(1)听觉通道的语音-拼音转码(听写拼音)比视觉通道的汉字-拼音转码(看汉字写拼音)容易些,两种转码成绩间有着深层关联;(2)两种拼音转码成绩均对汉语听力理解水平有显著影响,影响力受学习者汉语水平和母语背景的调节,其中听觉转码在初、中级阶段均有显著影响,视觉转码的影响在中级阶段开始显著,两种转码影响在高级阶段开始收敛但仍对汉字产出成绩有显著影响。在母语背景差异方面,汉字圈学生拼音转码对听力理解的影响更多受到汉字水平的调节,非汉字圈学生则主要是直接的听觉转码路径;(3)影响源分析发现,拼音转码对听力理解的影响主要来源于难点声韵母和声调成绩。结果表明,拼音转码对汉语二语听力理解具有多路径的重要影响,作为二语的汉语拼音教学要保证一定的质量及持续性。 展开更多

Against the background of the rapid growth of Chinese tourists to Japan,by observing the changes in the patterns of Chinese visitors to Japan and probing into the insufficiency of researches in the past studies,it is believed that online travel reviews can be used to present the current situation of tourism industry and be of value to provide the basic data for long-term sustainable research after analysis,including how to increase Chinese tourists’satisfaction continuously and how to promote the service level of related industries.In this study,the unknown information caused by the cultural and regional differences in the reviews of Chinese visitors’to Japan is taken as the prediction object and the local tourists’travel comments as a reference group.Then,the factor decomposition technology and text mining technology are applied to predict the standards of services and projects that can meet the characteristics and demands of Chinese tourists.The comments of Chinese and Japanese tourists who stayed at hotels in the Hakone scenic area from May 2018 to April 2019(time span:one year)are taken as the samples in this study.Thus,the disparity in the purpose of travel between Chinese tourists and Japanese local tourists in this scenic spot can be effectively displayed.Besides,it also clearly points out that due to a lack of understanding of Japanese food culture,Chinese visitors were in urgent need of relevant services and assistance.Therefore,this method will provide guidance for the growth of the local tourism industry and also demonstrate the feasibility of research methods.In the end,a complete analysis and calculation method for online comment text mining is established,which also provides guidance on improving the satisfaction of Chinese visitors to Japan.Besides,this method can also be considered to apply in more tourists with the same cultural background. 展开更多
