In the present paper, the authors expound the differences of the natures between the acupoints and Chinese herbal medicines from a） substance carriers, b） the underlying mechanism in actions, and c） individual characteristics, etc..

THE NATURE AND SOURCE OF ESR SIGNAL IN BILIRUBIN

The ESR signals of bilirubin-IXα were studied including the samples treated with free radical generating and inhibiting systems,i.e.X-X0., Fe/EDTA,SOD,mannitol/ascorbate,DTPA,KCN et al.These stable signals all comprise those originated from a semiquinone radical(g=2.0012)and superoxide radical(g_=2.041,g_=2.0040).The latter is shown to be bound with metal ions especially iron,chelated by bilirubin.The iron probably comes from bilirubin precursor——hemootobin.Active oxygen free radical scavengers may destroy these radicals.Kinetic curves of regeneration of the bilirubin radicals have been determined.Bilirubin is discussed as'active oxygen trap'in mammatians.

Theoretical Study on the Structures, Vibrational Spectra, and the Nature of the Intermediate Hydrogen Bond of Schiff Bases

Semi-empirical method PM3 was used to study the geometry and vibrational spectrum of N-(2-hydroxy-l-naphthyl-methylene)-l-pyrenamine (NPY) with the intermediate hydrogen bond. Results are comparable to experimentations. Based on results of both NPY and its model, N-(2-hydroxy-l-naphthyl-methylene)aniline, it was found that the N-(2-hydroxy-l-naphthyl-methylene) group is principally responsible for the special hydrogen bonding through conjugation effect.

Physical Diffusion and Electron-transfer Dynamics of Electroactive Solutes in Polymer Electrolytes Ⅰ. Effect of the Nature of Electroactive Solutes

The diffusion coefficients(Dapp) and the heterogeneous electron-transfer rate constants(ks)for ferrocene and its seven derivatives in MPEG/LiClO4 electrolyte were determined by using steadystate voltammetry. The two parameters increase with increasing temperature, indicating Arrhenius behavior. The effects of the nature of electroactive solute molecules on Dapp, ks, and the half-wave potentials(E1/2) are discussed.

Political Connection, the Nature of Property Rights, and Enterprise M＆A Performance——Empirical Study based on the Panel Data of Listed Companies

Mergers and acquisitions （M＆A） are the important methods to quickly acquire external resources, achieve the economies of scale and the economies of scope, improve market share, and expand the scale of enterprise, while M＆A performance is an important index to measure if enterprise M＆A is successful. In this paper, the influence of entrepreneurs＇ political connection on the M＆A driving factors and M＆A efficiency of the enterprises with different property rights are analyzed using 357 mergers and acquisitions of China＇ s 189 listed companies in 2005-2011 as samples based on the distinction between political connection and the nature of enterprise property rights. The results show that the political connection plays a very significant positive influence on the M＆A performances of the central state-owned enterprises and private enterprises, but exerts a very significant negative influence on the local state-owned enterprises; the intensity of entrepreneurs＇ political connection also plays a certain influence on enterprise merger and acquisition, and the central political connection and the local political connection are significantly different in the influence on the enterprise M＆A performance.

Quantization of light energy directly from classical electromagnetic theory in vacuum

It is currently believed that light quantum or the quantization of light energy is beyond classical physics, and the picture of wave-particle duality, which was criticized by Einstein but has attracted a number of experimental researches, is necessary for the description of light. It is shown in this paper, however, that the quantization of light energy in vacuum, which is the same as that in quantum electrodynamics, can be derived directly from the classical electromagnetic theory through the consideration of statistics based on classical physics. Therefore, the quantization of energy is an intrinsic property of light as a classical electromagnetic wave and has no need of being related to particles.

This paper presents the results of research and analysis on the quality of the living environment in the heart of small urban centers. These cities are regarded as an attractive area of residence, among others, due to the fulfillment of human needs concerning the contact with nature （green） and living with a sense of intimacy, security and peace. Presented results concern the center of Jarostaw and Laficut. Although both cities are located in an underdeveloped region of south-eastern Poland, they have an opportunity to create a positive image of the city center, where not only attractive architectural objects can be found, but also small-town atmosphere, and natural values forming positive relationships between human and the elements of environment.

A Preliminary of Dynamic Stability Analysis

On account of the traditional method in hybrid stability analysis being too rough, a new method of taking dual or single mode was put forward for 4 typical levers in the hybrid stability analysis respectively and transited to the dynamic analysis smoothly. After verifying the superiority of the method through examples, the broad application prospect would be given in the end.
