In the current data-intensive era, the traditional hands-on method of conducting scientific research by exploring related publications to generate a testable hypothesis is well on its way of becoming obsolete within just a year or two. Analyzing the literature and data to automatically generate a hypothesis might become the de facto approach to inform the core research efforts of those trying to master the exponentially rapid expansion of publications and datasets. Here, viewpoints are provided and discussed to help the understanding of challenges of data-driven discovery.

新媒介文学阅读的文化逻辑及其阐释路径

自网络文学诞生以来,学术界基于社会状况、媒介特征和文本内容等阐释途径,建构了现代性、后现代和数字现代主义三种新媒介文学阅读的文化逻辑。现代性文化逻辑是由走向现代化国家的社会现实状况决定的,但网络文学中明显可见其阅读的后现代性;网络媒介带来了读写的后现代文化逻辑,却遭受到现代性立场的批判;数字现代主义将网络媒介与网络文学区隔,主张文本内容及其主题的新现代性,陷入媒介文艺学的内在矛盾中;它们存在着文学内容和主题的困境、媒介作为中介的片面性以及语言文本的过分重视等不足。要把握新媒介文学阅读的文化逻辑,必须回到后现代的原初含义,认清其是建立在可操作、多元呈现和融合生成的界面上,且在读者、阅读文本和审美效果等方面具有“虚拟后现代”特性。新媒介文学阅读体现出阅读文化的范式转型和阐释学意义。

经管类文献综述写作的“新概念-立体结构”法

文献综述是经管类学术论文的重要组成部分。如何才能写出高质量的文献综述是非常值得关注的问题。概括相关的研究,一般遵循文献综述写作的平面分类模式,其抓住了对文献进行分类的要求,但也存在分类评价标准、研究内容、表达形式三方面不足。为了弥补不足,提出了文献综述写作的“新概念-立体结构”法。该方法的主要特征是:(1)指出清晰明确的文献分类评价标准,即文献内容的组间差异极大化、组内差异极小化标准;(2)鼓励不断利用抽象、归纳、概括能力,形成具有导向意义的新概念;(3)要求建构不同概念之间的多层级空间立体结构,形成抽象等级不同的、纵向的、整体性的观点脉络。“新概念-立体结构”方法既能从整体上解决文献综述的写作问题,也能为创新性研究提供更加可靠的基础。

新移民文学是世界华文文学新的生长点,代表了世界华文文学发展的新力量和新方向。在新的时代语境下,新移民文学在题材领域、思想内涵和话语方式等方面表现出新质素。本文借鉴希利斯·米勒等的异质理论和布尔迪厄的场域理论,将“异质”与“共构”作为方法,尝试为新移民文学研究提供新的视野和思路。新移民文学的“异质”研究,即在共构视域中,把新移民文学的特质作为重点,研究新移民文学在主体构成、书写对象、审美情感、话语风格等方面的新特点。新移民文学的共构研究,就是把新移民文学纳入海外华人文学、中国当代文学或居住国文学等场域,探讨其如何参与不同文学场域的建构,及其与场域中他者的相互联系和相互影响。“异质”与“共构”研究突破了区域研究或个案研究的零散性,进而拓展新移民文学的研究空间。

“人民文艺”中农民历史主体性的想象与构建

“人民文艺”是以农民为主体的文艺。毛泽东将原本被排斥于现代文艺活动之外的农民作为文艺活动的主要对象,彻底改变了中国的文艺生态和文化生态。如果从其启蒙对象即工农大众来说,“人的文学”没有实现其目标。“人的文学”未能完成的“启蒙农民”“改造农民”重任,最后由“人民文艺”逐步实现了。“人民文艺”使农民完成了观念上的转换与更新。要深刻理解“人民文艺”,首先要理解区别于资产阶级现代性文化的无产阶级新文化,即新民主主义文化和社会主义文化。在新民主主义阶段,无产阶级新文化强调的是反帝反封建;到了社会主义阶段,则将“资产阶级文化”与“封建文化”一道作为批判和否定的对象。此时,“人民文艺”更突出革命农民对“无产阶级意识”的接受过程;“人民文艺”赋予了农民以新的“人民”品性,塑造具有无产阶级意识的“社会主义新农民”形象,成为其重要职责。

五四时期白话与文言关系论

汉语构成在中国古代是白话与文言并存,文言是主体,白话是补充。五四新文化运动提倡白话,但并不否定文言文,“废除”的不是文言文,而是文言文的主体地位,无论是在理论上,还是在实践上,文言文在当时都不可能被禁止和弃用,也不应该被禁止和弃用。文言与白话在五四时期经历了巨大的地位变化:白话文最初是争合法地位,后来是争主体地位,维持主体地位;文言文最初是保主体地位,后来是争合法地位,保应用上的“一席之地”。五四时期语言“保守派”从来不否认白话文,他们只是反对用白话文取代文言文,“激进派”从来不否定文言文,他们只是提倡在白话文的基础上建立新的“国语”,他们反对的是文言文的汉语主体地位。无论在过去,还是现在,白话与文言都不是互相排斥、“你死我活”的关系,而是主次分明、相辅相成、并存竞争关系。

自创生:媒介及新媒介文艺意义生成

“自创生”是用以描述系统自我生成性质的重要概念,“自创生系统”是能够自主生产、递归进化的系统。自创生理论以生成论为哲学基础,在去“本体”化的过程中建构了独特的“自体论”。按照自创生理论,媒介是典型的自创生系统。进入现代社会,媒介系统将物质性与技术性转化为自身的生产力,展现出更为强劲的自主性,并在进阶演化和更新迭代的螺旋式生成运动中表现出递归性以及人、物、媒介之间新的缔合关系。数字新媒介系统的自创生进入了“数智化”阶段,形成了以计算法则为主导的信息生产方式,也带来了新世界即赛博空间的涌现。新媒介的数智化自创生,建构了新媒介文艺意义生成的自创生性质。从自创生视角看,新媒介文艺实践不过是数字化的人类行动者与媒介性行动者在互动耦合过程中,联合其他生产要素共同开展的自创生性文艺意义生产活动。在这一过程中,媒介性与文艺性交叠衍生,数字文艺性也由此生成。
