This paper shows how a department in a rural new-University department is making a difference in Basic Education’s New Curriculum programme for the Teaching of English through an implementation of Living Educational Theory Action Research methodology.Through collaboration with departmental colleagues first and then a local Middle School,the authors show how Action Research has enabled them to improve aspects of its Basic Education methodologies in order to improve learning.They provide triangulated evidence of improvements and offer ways in which such projects might be able to be carried out more widely in China in order to enhance the development of education in this developing country. 展开更多
