It boosts one’s belief in their ability to succeed, encourages following medical advice, and adds to the general enhancement of health. Objective: This study is to investigate the effectiveness of diabetes education in empowering individuals with Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus (T1DM) and their families to effectively manage the condition. Furthermore, it strives to improve nursing care for families whose children have been diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus (T1DM). Design: This research study investigates the efficacy of diabetes education in empowering individuals with Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus (T1DM) and their families to effectively handle the condition. Materials and Methods: A systematic search was conducted between the years 2000 and 2022, utilizing the Medline and Google Scholar databases. The purpose of the search was to uncover relevant papers pertaining to diabetes education, management of Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus (T1DM), nurse care, and empowerment. The search focused on peer-reviewed research, clinical trials, and scholarly articles that evaluated the efficacy of diabetes education in empowering individuals and families. Results: Diabetes education is crucial for understanding and controlling T1DM. It includes personalized sessions, webinars, group classes, and clinics that provide customized therapies. Comprehensive education enhances glycemic control and family dynamics. Nevertheless, the implementation of diabetes education for families requires specific standards, especially in the field of nursing. Conclusion: Diabetes education is essential for effectively managing Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus (T1DM), providing patients and families with crucial knowledge, resources, and confidence. It encourages independence in-home care and provides explicit guidelines for diabetic nurses to improve nursing care.展开更多

The study found that: farmers' income has always been the focus of attention; agricultural production has shifted from total demand to green ecology; urban and rural resource elements are not well-organized, resulting in internal contradictions. The implementation of the rural revitalization strategy is an important measure to fundamentally solve the rural development problems in the new era.展开更多

The results show that in the studied systems k_p decreases when C_p increases, indicating the presence of two or more types of different active centers. The C_(p^(-t)) plots of the Solvay TiCl_3-AlR_3 systems show the presence of both stable active centers and unstable centers which decay in the polymerization process. The phenomena are explained based on a model of active center plurality. The increases of C_p in the induction periods are also discussed.展开更多

Pdbased supported catalysts have been verified effective for generating DMO, but concomitant generation of dimethyl carbonate(DMC) is always unavoidable. It is generally accepted that Pd(0) is the active species for producing DMO, while Pd(II) for DMC. However, density functional theory calculations have proposed that the selectivity to DMO or DMC highly depends on the space state of Pd species rather than its oxidative state. It is thus urgently desired to develop high-efficient catalysts with well-defined structure, and further to elucidate the structure-performance relationship. In this work, HKUST-1 with unique structure of paired-Cu(Ⅱ) centers was chosen as ideal support to construct the catalysts with respective paired-Pd(Ⅱ) centers and isolated-Pd(Ⅱ) centers via in situ Pd species doping. In despite of featuring Pdδ+(δ≈2) oxidation state, the synthesized paired-Pd(Ⅱ)/HKUST-1 catalyst still exhibited DMO as dominant product(90.8% of DMO selectivity). For isolated-Pd(Ⅱ)/HKUST-1 catalyst, however, the main product was DMC(84.8% of DMC selectivity). Based on catalyst characterizations, the structures of paired-Pd(Ⅱ) centers and isolated-Pd(Ⅱ) centers were determined. DMO was generated from the coupling of adjacent *COOCH;intermediates adsorbed on paired-Pd(Ⅱ) centers, while DMC was produced from the reaction between methyl nitrite and the *COOCH;intermediates formed on isolated-Pd(Ⅱ) centers. Current work is the first MOFs-based catalyst with well-defined structure being applied in CO oxidative coupling reaction, which not only sheds light on the structure-performance relationship, but also inspires the potential of using MOFs as tunable platform to design high-efficient catalysts in heterogeneous catalysis.展开更多

The effects of the factors including the concentrations of phenol in aqueous phase and organic phase, the concentration of N503 in organic phase, the acidity of aqueous phase, the stirring speed and the temperature on the rates of forward and backward extraction of phenol have been examined. The regularity of extraction rate has been obtained. According to experimental results, the rates of both forward and backward extraction of phenol might be controlled by diffusion process. The diffusion step of phenol from aqueous phase to interface for forward extraction and from interface to aqueous phase for backward extraction might be the rate controlling steps.展开更多

The effects of two alkoxysilane donors, triethoxyphenylsilane (PTES) and dimethoxydi-tert-butylsilane (TBMS), on CD and ID of the copolymers were compared. Three main parts in the CD diagram of each copolymer were distinguished, which were correlated to active center distribution (ACD) based on three groups of different active centers. By studying the changes in l-hexene content, microisotacticity and reactivity ratio product of three typical fractions, the effects of external donor on ACD were better elucidated. It was found that TBMS shows much stronger effects on ACD than PTES. In the former system, most fractions were produced on active centers with relatively lower r(1)r(2), higher reactivity to I-hexene, and higher stereospecificity as compared to the system without external donor. It is concluded that the observed very extensive changes in ACD are mainly resulted by the formation of new types of active centers, possibly by coordination of external donor to certain positions on the catalyst.展开更多

Moreover, the distribution of the neutral oxygen divacancy can also exert some influence on the properties of α-quartz. The dissimilarity and similarities are presented in the corresponding density of state(DOS) and absorption spectrum. In addition, when a higher defect concentration is involved in α-quartz,the influence of E1 center on the geometry of α-quartz becomes more significant. However, the introduction of an E1 center barely results in any improvement compared with the influence produced by the corresponding neutral defect.展开更多

The 3D velocity fields for the flood season are computed to drive the 3D model of Fe and Mn in which the processes of advection, diffusion, redox, sorption, desorption, deposition, and re suspension are included. The model has been calibrated by matching observed fluid, suspended solids, and total concentrations of Fe and Mn in the water column and in the sediment, successively. The model simulated both horizontal and vertical gradients of Fe and Mn in Arha Reservoir. It was found that Fe and especially Mn stratify in accordance with the stratification of DO during summer. The redox cycles across the water sediment interface has a principal role in the rise of Fe and Mn concentrations in the overlying water. It was also found that Fe and Mn loadings from the tributaries have a carryover effect on the water quality through a secondary contamination in the reservoir.展开更多
