This segmental chain enables the derivation of both conscious perception and sensory control of action in space. This applied systems analysis approach involves the measurements of the complex motor behavior in order to elucidate the fusion of multiple sensor data for the reliable and efficient acquisition of the kinetic, kinematics and electromyographic data of the human spatial behavior. The acquired kinematic and related kinetic signals represent attributive features of the internal recon-struction of the physical links between the superimposed body segments. In-deed, this reconstruction of the physical links was established as a result of the fusion of the multiple sensor data. Furthermore, this acquired kinematics, kinetics and electromyographic data provided detailed means to record, annotate, process, transmit, and display pertinent information derived from the musculoskeletal system to quantify and differentiate between subjects with mobility-related disabilities and able-bodied subjects, and enabled an inference into the active neural processes underlying balance reactions. To gain insight into the basis for this long-term dependence, the authors have applied the fusion of multiple sensor data to investigate the effects of Cerebral Palsy, Multiple Sclerosis and Diabetic Neuropathy conditions, on biomechanical/neurophysiological changes that may alter the ability of the human loco-motor system to generate ambulation, balance and posture.展开更多

Method: Pseudophakic patients who undergo PPV were enrolled in this prospective study between October 2012 and April 2015. Study included patients in whom intraocular tamponade was not used during PPV operation. UBM measurements were performed both before and 10 days after the operation. Anterior chamber depth (ACD) was measured using axial images of anterior segment. Trabecular meshwork-iris angle (TIA), ciliary body thickness (CBT), sclera thickness (ST), trabecular meshwork-ciliary process distance (T-CPD), iris-ciliary processes distance (I-CPD), and iris thickness (IT) were measured at temporal quadrant based on radial section images of the angle. Values measured before and after the operation were statistically compared with each other. Results: This study included 30 patients (18 females, 12 males) that underwent an operation ultrasound biomicroscopy (UBM) after pars plana vitrectomy (PPV) operation without use of tamponade. Mean age was 69.6 ± 9.1 (55 - 85) years. Eighteen operations occurred on the left eye whereas twelve operations occurred on the right eye. CBT1, CBT2, CBT Max, T-CPD, and I-CPD were significantly decreased after operation when compared with the values of baseline (before) (p = 0.018, p = 0.012, p = 0.001, p = 0.033, p = 0.015, respectively). Other evaluated parameters did not show statistically significant changes after the operation (p > 0.05). Discussion: PPV results in significant changes in ciliary body morphology together with changes in anterior segment parameters in pseudophakic cases.展开更多

There is very limited information about the Lung associated channels in classical literature of TCM. With a clear focus on the function of respiration, we have carried out a detailed analysis of the biomedical consequence of stimulating the LUM, analysed the roles played by LUSC, LUDC, and LULCC. The updated LUM and LUDC include acupoints of other meridians, serving the same purpose of performing satisfactory respiration starting from checking the quality of the inflow through the nose. The LUSC includes the respiratory muscles (plus the associated connective tissues) extending to various parts of the body. The muscles of the limb (as part of the LUSC) embrace the nerves that provide routes for somatosensory reflexes and play the role of locomotion, providing voluntary respiration via the pectoralis muscles. The muscles of LUSC are bounded by stiff connective tissue layers, forming compartments, and are part of the pulley system for various body locomotions. Within a compartment, the interstitial fluid, blood, lymph flows must be potent to protect the associated nerves related to LUM;the healthy state of the LUSC also provides freedom of various types of locomotion. The LULCC exists because the vagus nerve has a part of it passing through the spinal cords all the way down to the sacrum domain, with exiting nerve innervating two-third of the large intestine. The crucial steps of our deductions </span><span style="font-family:Verdana;">are supported by experimental evidence based on modern neurophysiology and kinesiology. Furthermore, position fixed valves with respect to the inlet and outlet also makes the adjustability and controllability of flow rate worse. In order to overcome these shortcomings, this paper puts forward a novel implantable structure of valve-less piezoelectric pump with hemisphere-segments in the pump chamber. Based on the theory of flow around bluff-body, the flow resistance on the spherical and round surface of hemisphere-segment is different when fluid flows through, and the macroscopic flow resistance differences thus formed are also different. A novel valve-less piezoelectric pump with hemisphere-segment bluff-body (HSBB) is presented and designed. HSBB is the no-moving part valve. By the method of volume and momentum comparison, the stress on the bluff-body in the pump chamber is analyzed. The essential reason of unidirectional fluid pumping is expounded, and the flow rate formula is obtained. To verify the theory, a prototype is produced. By using the prototype, experimental research on the relationship between flow rate, pressure difference, voltage, and frequency has been carried out, which proves the correctness of the above theory. This prototype has six hemisphere-segments in the chamber filled with water, and the effective diameter of the piezoelectric bimorph is 30mm. The experiment result shows that the flow rate can reach 0.50 mL/s at the frequency of 6 Hz and the voltage of 110 V. Besides, the pressure difference can reach 26.2 mm H20 at the frequency of 6 Hz and the voltage of 160 V. This research proposes a valve-less piezoelectric pump with hemisphere-segment bluff-body, and its validity and feasibility is verified through theoretical analysis and experiment.展开更多

A detailed comparative analysis of the axial skeleton of a fossil fish and humans revealed a new rule of the “nested triad” of bones organized along the proximal to distal axis of limb appendages. This growth pattern and its ubiquity among living vertebrates appear to underlie a profound rule of pattern formation that is dictated in part by the genetics and epigenetic mechanisms of stem cell clonal development.展开更多

文摘Objective To propose two novel methods based on deep learning for computer-aided tongue diagnosis, including tongue image segmentation and tongue color classification, improving their diagnostic accuracy. Methods LabelMe was used to label the tongue mask and Snake model to optimize the labeling results.A new dataset was constructed for tongue image segmentation.Tongue color was marked to build a classified dataset for network training. In this research, the Inception+Atrous Spatial Pyramid Pooling(ASPP)+UNet(IAUNet)method was proposed for tongue image segmentation, based on the existing UNet,Inception, and atrous convolution. Moreover, the Tongue Color Classification Net(TCCNet)was constructed with reference to ResNet,Inception, and Triple-Loss.Several important measurement indexes were selected to evaluate and compare the effects of the novel and existing methods for tongue segmentation and tongue color classification.IAUNet was compared with existing mainstream methods such as UNet and DeepLabV3+for tongue segmentation.TCCNet for tongue color classification was compared with VGG16 and GoogLeNet.Results IAUNet can accurately segment the tongue from original images. The results showed that the Mean Intersection over Union(MIoU)of IAUNet reached 96.30%,and its Mean Pixel Accuracy(MPA),mean Average Precision(mAP),F1-Score,G-Score,and Area Under Curve(AUC)reached 97.86%,99.18%,96.71%,96.82%,and 99.71%,respectively,suggesting IAUNet produced better segmentation than other methods, with fewer parameters.Triplet-Loss was applied in the proposed TCCNet to separate different embedded colors. The experiment yielded ideal results, with F1-Score and mAP of the TCCNet reached 88.86% and 93.49%,respectively.Conclusion IAUNet based on deep learning for tongue segmentation is better than traditional ones.IAUNet can not only produce ideal tongue segmentation, but have better effects than those of PSPNet,SegNet,UNet,and DeepLabV3+,the traditional networks. As for tongue color classification, the proposed network,TCCNet,had better F1-Score and mAP values as compared with other neural networks such as VGG16 and GoogLeNet.
文摘This is a case presentation of a very bizarre open globe trauma with anterior segment foreign body-fishing hook stuck in the cornea and iris. Complications due to this kind of eye trauma might be very hazardous and with serious impact on visual function. We are representing our approach and experience of three step management of this kind of eye injury: first-extract the foreign body, close and reconstruct the eyeball, second-fight inflammation, and third-restore the visual function by cataract surgery.
文摘A survey of zoological literature affirmed the wide occurrence of Fibonacci numbers in the organization of acellular and prokaryotic life forms as well as in some eukaryotic protistans and in the embryonic development and adult forms of many living and fossil remains of metazoan animals. A detailed comparative analysis of the axial skeleton of a fossil fish and humans revealed a new rule of the “nested triad” of bones organized along the proximal to distal axis of limb appendages. This growth pattern and its ubiquity among living vertebrates appear to underlie a profound rule of pattern formation that is dictated in part by the genetics and epigenetic mechanisms of stem cell clonal development.

文摘Objective In tongue diagnosis, the location, color, and distribution of spots can be used to speculate on the viscera and severity of the heat evil. This work focuses on the image analysis method of artificial intelligence(AI)to study the spotted tongue recognition of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM).Methods A model of spotted tongue recognition and extraction is designed, which is based on the principle of image deep learning and instance segmentation. This model includes multiscale feature map generation, region proposal searching, and target region recognition.Firstly, deep convolution network is used to build multiscale low-and high-abstraction feature maps after which, target candidate box generation algorithm and selection strategy are used to select high-quality target candidate regions. Finally, classification network is used for classifying target regions and calculating target region pixels. As a result, the region segmentation of spotted tongue is obtained.Under non-standard illumination conditions, various tongue images were taken by mobile phones, and experiments were conducted. Results The spotted tongue recognition achieved an area under curve(AUC)of 92.40%,an accuracy of 84.30%with a sensitivity of 88.20%,a specificity of 94.19%,a recall of 88.20%,a regional pixel accuracy index pixel accuracy(PA)of 73.00%,a mean pixel accuracy(m PA)of73.00%,an intersection over union(Io U)of 60.00%,and a mean intersection over union(mIo U)of 56.00%.Conclusion The results of the study verify that the model is suitable for the application of the TCM tongue diagnosis system.Spotted tongue recognition via multiscale convolutional neural network(CNN)would help to improve spot classification and the accurate extraction of pixels of spot area as well as provide a practical method for intelligent tongue diagnosis of TCM.
