In the 21st century,the development of digital and new media technologies has ushered in an age of pervasive multimodal communication,which has significantly amplified the role of multimodal translation in facilitating crosscultural exchanges.Despite the profound impact of these developments,the prevailing translation pedagogy remains predominantly focused on the enhancement of linguistic translation skills,with noticeable neglect of the imperative to cultivate students’competencies in multimodal translation.Based on the distinctive characteristics and challenges that multimodal translation presents in the context of new media,this study delves into the formulation of educational objectives and curriculum design for the training of multimodal translators.The intent is to propose a framework that can guide the preparation of translators who are adept and equipped to navigate the complexities and demands of the contemporary age. 展开更多

The objective of this study is to experimentally visualize traveling vortices in the boundary layer on a rotating disk under orbital motion. The orbital radius is half of the disk’s diameter (200 mm) and the maximum speed of orbital motion is 500 revolutions per minute. The Reynolds number in the pure-rotation case is 2.77 × 105. The characteristics of two types of traveling vortices are visualized by a smoke-wire method. The first type is transition vortices. In the pure-rotation case, they arise at circumferentially equal intervals, and are not traveling but stationary relative to the rotational disk. The result of visualization of this type shows that the intervals between transient vortices change in a circumferential direction, or in an orbital radial direction, on the rotating disk under orbital motion. The second type is new arc-shaped vortices that correspond to low-frequency disturbances. As orbital speed increases, the radial traveling velocities of the low-frequency disturbances increase and the intervals between low-frequency disturbances decrease. 展开更多

AIM: To develop a short,enhanced functional ability Quality of Vision(faVIQ) instrument based on previous questionnaires employing comprehensive modern statistical techniques to ensure the use of an appropriate response scale,items and scoring of the visual related difficulties experienced by patients with visual impairment. · METHODS: Items in current quality-of-life questionnaires for the visually impaired were refined by a multi-professional group and visually impaired focus groups. The resulting 76 items were completed by 293 visually impaired patients with stable vision on two occasions separated by a month. The faVIQ scores of 75 patients with no ocular pathology were compared to 75 age and gender matched patients with visual impairment. ·RESULTS: Rasch analysis reduced the faVIQ items to 27. Correlation to standard visual metrics was moderate(r =0.32-0.46) and to the NEI-VFQ was 0.48. The faVIQ was able to clearly discriminate between age and gender matched populations with no ocular pathology and visual impairment with an index of 0.983 and 95% sensitivity and 95% specificity using a cut off of 29.·CONCLUSION: The faVIQ allows sensitive assessment of quality-of-life in the visually impaired and should support studies which evaluate the effectiveness of low vision rehabilitation services. 展开更多

The formation of self-care ability is the first step for children with autism to enter the society,and it is also a prerequisite and guarantee for their independent survival.This study aimed to explore the impact of visual cue strategies on the self-care ability of children with autism.Based on the ABA design of a single case study,this research conducted a four-month intervention on a seven-year-old child with autism via visual cue strategy as independent variables and sock-wearing skills as dependent variables,in order to explore the effect of visual cue strategy on self-care ability of children with autism.It turned out that visual cue strategy exerts a positive immediate sustained effect and social validity on the self-care ability of children with autism.Lastly,suggestions were provided for future related research based on the research process,results,and limitations. 展开更多

The U bend duct has a cross section of 50 mm×50 mm and a ratio of bend mean radius R c to hydraulic diameter of the duct D of 0.65. The rotation axis is parallel with the bend axis. Three cases with rotation number of Ro=-0.2, 0 and 0.2, respectively, are studied at a Reynolds number of 100 000. The results show that the combined effect of rotation and bend curvature strongly influences the flow field, especially in the downstream region of the bend. The evident difference among the flow patterns with different rotation number shows that the secondary flow induced by Coriolis force takes an important role in determining the flow structure. 展开更多

The objective of this study is to experimentally examine the effects of orbital motion on the boundary layer flow on a spinning disk. The boundary layer flow on the disk is visualized by the oil flow method, and velocity in the boundary layer is measured by the hot-wire method. For the oil flow pattern in the case of spinning motion only, streaks are clearly observed on the disk as transient vortices, but by adding orbital motion to the spinning motion, we find that streaks are not observed in a certain range of orbital conditions. With increasing orbital motion speed, the laminar re- gion becomes narrower and transition is promoted from the inward region of the disk, regardless of the direction of ro- tation. Also, with the addition of orbital motion, the velocity profile in the boundary layer becomes more asymmetric with respect to the spin axis of the disk. Furthermore, stationary vortices do not appear on the disk when the orbital speed is beyond a certain critical value. Therefore, the lack of streaks in the oil film pattern when orbital motion is added is due to the spatiotemporal unsteadiness of the flow field on the disk. 展开更多

AIM: To compare the short-term visual outcomes, residual refractive cylinder, and rotation stability after Tecnis toric intraocular lens(IOL) implantation during femtosecond laserassisted cataract surgery(Femto phaco) and conventional phacoemulsification surgery(Conventional phaco).METHODS: In a prospective cohort study, Conventional phaco and Femto phaco(anterior capsulotomy and lens fragmentation by a femtosecond laser) with Tecnis toric IOL implantation were performed in 40 eyes from 36 patients and 37 eyes from 33 patients, respectively. The uncorrected distance visual acuity(UDVA), corrected distance visual acuity(CDVA), and manifest refraction were assessed during 1 d, 1 wk, and 1 mo follow-ups. The orientation of the Tecnis Toric IOL was evaluated during 1 wk and 1 mo follow-ups.RESULTS: There were no significant differences in UDCA or CDVA between two groups at 1 mo postoperatively, though relatively more subjects had UDVA values of 20/25 or better in Femto phaco group than in the Conventional group(P>0.05). A lower but not significantly lower rate of having more than 5° of IOL rotation was observed in Femto phaco group at the 1-month follow-up, while a significant lower rate of residual astigmatism of ≤1 D was observed in Femto phaco group.CONCLUSION: The Femto phaco group has significantly more subjects with the residual astigmatism of ≤1 D, but there are no significant differences in rotation stability and visual outcomes as compared with the Conventional phaco group after the application of the Tecnis toric IOL in this cohort. 展开更多

Spatial neglect syndrome with cerebral lesions is characterized by the ina-bility to orient, report, or respond to relevant visual stimuli contralateral to the lesions. In this study, we investigated the pattern of horizontal visual search in a large space;this search was performed by patients with right hemisphere damage caused by cerebrovascular disease. The neck rotation angle and search time in each increment were continuously recorded during the task, and quantitative data of the measurements were collected. Head position during the visual search task in a large space (%) was then calculated. We set angular bands in increments of 5 degrees from the midline on the left and right sides, and calculated the total search time in each angular band. In patients with unilateral spatial neglect (USN), the search time in the angular band of 5 - 9 on the right side was significantly longer (with USN 16.7%, without USN 4.5%, t = 2.52, df = 16, p < 0.05). Furthermore, in patients with neglect in the leftmost end area in a large space, the search time was significantly shorter in the angular band of 1 - 4 degrees to the left (with neglect 13.1%, without neglect 23.7%, t = 2.13, df = 16, p < 0.05), and tended to be long in the angular band of 5 - 9 to the right. The neck rotation angle and pattern during the search task in a large field deviated slightly to the right, and the search time slightly to the left was short. We believe that these results support the rightward deviation of the search pattern and frame of USN patients. 展开更多

In the present paper, fluid mixing process in a stirred tank with a newly designed conduit-type mixer has been investigated by the flow visualization and the concentration measurement. The results of the new conduit-type mixer are compared with a conventional fin-type mixer. Although the concentration measurement indicates that the mixing time by the conduit-type mixer is slightly longer than that by the fin-type mixer, the flow visualization shows that the conduit-type mixer generates the wider circulatory flow pattern and stirs the fluid over a vast area of the tank. Consequently, it is indicated that the conduit-type mixer has an advantage to stir the fluid uniformly in space. 展开更多

Objective To explore the optimal administration route of tranexamic acid(TXA)in shoulder arthroscopic surgery.Methods Patients undergoing arthroscopic rotator cuff repair were randomly divided into four groups:control group(without TXA treatment),intravenous group(TXA was intravenously administered 10 minutes before surgery),irrigation group(TXA was added to the irrigation fluid during subacromial decompression and acromioplasty),and intravenous plus irrigation group(TXA was applied both intravenously and via intra-articular irrigation).The primary outcome was visual clarity assessed with visual analog scale(VAS)score,and the secondary outcomes included irrigation fluid consumption and time to subacromial decompression and acromioplasty procedure.Results There were 134 patients enrolled in the study,including 33 in the control group,35 in the intravenous group,32 in the irrigation group,and 34 in the intravenous plus irrigation group.The median and interquartile range of VAS scores for the intravenous,irrigation,and intravenous plus irrigation groups were 2.70(2.50,2.86)(Z=-3.677,P=0.002),2.67(2.50,2.77)(Z=-3.058,P<0.001),and 2.91(2.75,3.00)(Z=-6.634,P<0.001),respectively,significantly higher than that of the control group[2.44(2.37,2.53)].Moreover,the control group consumed more irrigation fluid than the intravenous group,irrigation group,and intravenous plus irrigation group(all P<0.05).The intravenous plus irrigation group consumed less irrigation fluid than either the intravenous group or the irrigation group(both P<0.001).There was no difference in subacromial decompression and acromioplasty operative time among the four groups.Conclusion TXA applied both topically and systematically can improve intraoperative visual clarity,and the combined application is more effective. 展开更多

The objective of this study is to understand the appropriate shape and the role of vortex for rotating thin plate. We determined the shape of the plate through free-flight tests of paper strips and investigated the aerodynamic characteristics of the rotating plate with the selected shape. The rectangular plate with an aspect ratio 7 was relevant from moment of inertia and bending stress. An endplate on a wing tip increased the stability on the lateral vortex structure behind the rotating plate. Velocity field measurement by Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) showed that the lift force was generated twice in a rotating cycle. 展开更多

机场飞行区现使用的场面监视方法存在着定位偏差较大、不稳定、易跳变、皆为点源定位等问题。针对这些问题,设计了基于视觉图像的飞行区监视方法,实现快速准确的目标检测和轮廓定位,使飞行区监视更加稳定精确。提出了一种基于MobileNetV... 机场飞行区现使用的场面监视方法存在着定位偏差较大、不稳定、易跳变、皆为点源定位等问题。针对这些问题,设计了基于视觉图像的飞行区监视方法,实现快速准确的目标检测和轮廓定位,使飞行区监视更加稳定精确。提出了一种基于MobileNetV3和YOLOv5的网络模型(以下称为MobileNetV3-YOLOv5),即在YOLOv5的主干中使用MobileNetV3,来提高对目标的检测速度和准确度;提出了一种基于优化特征点提取的改进定向快速旋转简报(Oriented FAST and Rotated BRIEF,ORB)算法,将图像分割成多个区域,分别提取每个区域的特征点,从而提高目标识别框内区域的特征点识别数量,再进行特征点聚类筛选,最后根据识别目标类型采用最小包围盒进行轮廓划分,得到目标的轮廓定位。试验结果表明:MobileNetV3-YOLOv5方法对比原始YOLOv5模型,在识别目标准确率方面提升5百分点,在效率方面提升14张/s;同时在0~60 m的范围内,轮廓估计误差仅为2.9%;体现了所提出的监视方法的有效性,可以提升飞行区监视定位准确性和运行安全性。 展开更多

空间知觉能力是决定足球运动员运动技能的关键,更是提升运动员竞技表现的核心因素。选取20名国家一级足球运动员(专家组)和20名高校足球俱乐部的体教专业大学生(新手组),采用功能性近红外光谱成像技术(fNIRS),探讨心理旋转任务下行为绩... 空间知觉能力是决定足球运动员运动技能的关键,更是提升运动员竞技表现的核心因素。选取20名国家一级足球运动员(专家组)和20名高校足球俱乐部的体教专业大学生(新手组),采用功能性近红外光谱成像技术(fNIRS),探讨心理旋转任务下行为绩效、前额叶脑血氧(Oxy-Hb)激活以及脑功能连接的组间差异。结果显示:(1)专家组心理旋转任务正确率显著高于新手组(P<0.05),反应时显著短于新手组(P<0.01)。(2)专家组左右侧背外侧前额叶、额极区和右腹外侧前额叶激活低于新手组(P<0.05),并且脑间功能连接协同更强。研究认为,长期足球训练能够改变运动员的空间知觉加工模式,提高神经资源的利用效率,有利于大脑网络连接性,对认知功能的改善起到重要作用。 展开更多

目的探究基于精细化行政管理的公立医院行政管理人员规范化培训轮转实践效果。方法选取2019年1月—2023年7月河南省人民医院新入职行政管理人员40名为研究对象,按入职时间分为实施前(2019年1月—2020年12月年入职行政管理人员)、实施后(... 目的探究基于精细化行政管理的公立医院行政管理人员规范化培训轮转实践效果。方法选取2019年1月—2023年7月河南省人民医院新入职行政管理人员40名为研究对象,按入职时间分为实施前(2019年1月—2020年12月年入职行政管理人员)、实施后(2021年1月—2023年7月的新入职行政管理人员),各20名。实施前给予常规规范化轮转培训,实施后给予基于精细化行政管理规范化轮转培训。比较实施前后综合能力评价、综合能力得分与满意度的差异。结果实施后知识结构、工作态度、岗位适应性、沟通能力、执行力、团队合作、综合评价评分均高于实施前,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05)。实施后知识结构、工作态度、岗位适应性、沟通能力、执行力、团队合作、综合评价均优于实施前,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05)。实施后总满意度优于实施前,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05)。结论基于精细化行政管理规范化轮转培训运用于公立医院行政管理人员培训实践中具有较好价值,可有效改善行政管理人员综合能力得分,提升综合能力评价,提高管理人员满意度。 展开更多
