Since the Polysystem theory was brought in, domestic researchers have carried out many studies on the availability and shortcomings of the theory. Bas...Since the Polysystem theory was brought in, domestic researchers have carried out many studies on the availability and shortcomings of the theory. Some scholars use it as the framework to make descriptive studies. Based on the Polysystem theory, this paper describes and analyzes the position of Chinese translation study in the polysystem of Chinese culture and the world 's transla?tion study. Although the position of both translation and translation study has ever changed over a certain period of time, Chinese translation study has maintained a peripheral position for a long time. It can learn from the development experience of western translation studies to improve the situation. What's more, it should not ignore the influence of power system and ideology system. And to carry out translation studies in China, especially cultural studies on translation can help to make China's translation studies more central.展开更多
