The Analysis and Calculation for the Toroidal Magnetic Field of HT-7U

The HT-7U super-conducting tokamak is a full super-conducting magnetically confined fusion device, It mainly consists of super-conducting toroidal field (TF) coils and super conducting poloidal field (PF) coils. This paper describes the distribution of magnetic field, ripple and electromagnetic loads of TF system, some results are necessary to analyze and calculate the stresses and deformation on TF system by a finite element method. Meanwhile, in this paper, the main scope of the calculation is carried out for the case of constant magnetic field on conductor of the TF coil winding in order to provide electromagnet parameters for the quench analysis of Cable-in-Conduit Conductor (CICC) of TF system in HT-7U.

PARTIAL LEAST-SQUARES(PLS)REGRESSION AND SPECTROPHOTOMETRY AS APPLIED TO THE ANALYSIS OF MULTICOMPONENT MIXTURES

The UV absorption spectra of o-naphthol,α-naphthylamine,2,7-dihydroxy naphthalene,2,4-dimethoxy ben- zaldehyde and methyl salicylate,overlap severely;therefore it is impossible to determine them in mixtures by traditional spectrophotometric methods.In this paper,the partial least-squares(PLS)regression is applied to the simultaneous determination of these compounds in mixtures by UV spectrophtometry without any pretreatment of the samples.Ten synthetic mixture samples are analyzed by the proposed method.The mean recoveries are 99.4%,996%,100.2%,99.3% and 99.1%,and the relative standard deviations(RSD) are 1.87%,1.98%,1.94%,0.960% and 0.672%,respectively.

A j,υ model for the analysis and prediction of tides

In this paper, the j, υ corrected formulae of the amplitudes and the phases of 58 astronomical constituents are given, and the models for the analysis and prediction of 169 constituents are presented. The new Cartwright's calculated results of the tidal potential are used, and the quadratic analysis is made. It has been proved by a number of trials that the harmonic constants of constituents are more stable and the accuracy of the predicted result reliable.

The Landsat image information has recently been widely applied to structural geology, especially to the analysis of lineaments, owing to their macroscopic, visual and comprehensive features. The images will be more effective when applied to the interpretation of active faults. Active faults are widely ditributed in China. Much attention has been paid to the study of active faults both in China and abroad. There is certain controversy concerning the implication of the term "active fault". Strictly speaking, the term should refer only to the faults that are still active in the present day. However, the term also usually refers to the faults which have been active continually or intermittently from the Quaternary (or the end of Tertiary) to the present day. APPLICATION OF REMOTE SENSING IN THE ANALYSIS OF WATER ENVIRONMENT IN ZHUJIANG RIVER ESTUARY

1. PREFACE Lingdingyang is a trumpet estuary. It accepts the runoff of the Dongjiang River, the Beijiang River, the Zhengjiang River and the Liusihe River. It also accepts a part of the runoff of the Xijiang River. Its mean year runoff is 1.742×10" M^3. In resent ten years, industry and agriculture are developing rapidly in Guangzhou City, Dongguan City, Zhongshan City, Shunde County, Panyu County. Lingdingyang’s pollution is increesing. Water quality of lingdingyang is steadily deteriorated. In order to investigate the situation of water environment of Lingdingyang, we study its static environmental capacity of nitrogen and phosphorus. LANDSAT imageries are used in the study. The concentrations of nitrogen and phosphorous is detected by convention method.

A WEIGHTED PENALTY FINITE ELEMENT METHOD FOR THE ANALYSIS OF POWER-LAW FLUID FLOW PROBLEMS

In this paper, a new finite element method for the flow analysis of the viscous incompressible power-law fluid is proposed by the use of penalty-hybrid/mixed finite element formulation and by the introduction of an alternative perturbation, which is weighted by viscosity, of the continuity equation. The analysis of the transient temperature distribution of double-slab Nd:YAG laser medium

A novel double-slab Nd:YAG laser, which uses face-pumped slab medium cooled by liquid with different temperatures on both sides, is proposed. The thermal distortion of wavefront caused by the non-uniform temperature distribution in the laser gain media can be self-compensated. According to the method of operation, the models of the temperature distribution and stress are presented, and the analytic solutions for the model are derived. Furthermore, the numerical simulations with pulse pumping energy of 10 J and repetition frequencies of 500 and 1000 Hz are calculated respectively for Nd:YAG laser medium. The simulation results show that the temperature gradient remains the approximative linearity, and the heat stress is within the extreme range. Then the absorption coefficient is also discussed. The analysis of heart sounds by using bispectral technique

An advanced signal processing technique, higher-order spectra, is proposed to in vestigate the nonlinear coupling phenomena of the heart sounds. To extract more higher-order information of the heart sounds, a non-Gaussian AR model is selected for parametric bispectral estimation in analyzing several kinds of heart sounds. The non-Gaussian AR model of the sound signals is llsed to detect quadratic nonlinear interactions and to classify two patterns of heart sounds in terms of the parametric bispectral estimate. The bispectral cross-correlation is employed to the order determination of the model. Several real heart sound data are imple mented to show that the quadratic nonlinearity exist in both normal and clinical heart sounds.It was found that bispectral techniques are effective and useful tools in analyzing heart sounds and other acoustical signals
