A High Efficiency Hardware Implementation of S-Boxes Based on Composite Field for Advanced Encryption Standard

The SubBytes (S-box) transformation is the most crucial operation in the AES algorithm, significantly impacting the implementation performance of AES chips. To design a high-performance S-box, a segmented optimization implementation of the S-box is proposed based on the composite field inverse operation in this paper. This proposed S-box implementation is modeled using Verilog language and synthesized using Design Complier software under the premise of ensuring the correctness of the simulation result. The synthesis results show that, compared to several current S-box implementation schemes, the proposed implementation of the S-box significantly reduces the area overhead and critical path delay, then gets higher hardware efficiency. This provides strong support for realizing efficient and compact S-box ASIC designs. 展开更多

An Improvement Model Presented to Reduce the Required Time for the Implementation of ERP in the Organization

One of the many issues in utilizing ERP systems in organizations are, in fact, the implementation stage. This study by investigating the common and available methods of implementation, as well as their inefficiencies will provide a new more efficient method. This new method, in fact, will first assess the required time of implementation in each of the units of the organization, and then will take advantage of a spherical model with central core instead of a linear model. These units, with regard to the required time of implementation, will surround this core as in the form of some layers. The circuits are ordered in a way that the further we move from the core towards the external layers, the shorter the required time of implementation will become. This way, the priority of implementing ERP will be assigned with a direction from external layers to internal layers. Eventually, all the experiences of the previous stages will be transferred to the central core, which has the most complexity. Through this method, it is expected that we may prevent the fully parallel issue, which was a dominant and apparent issue in previous models, so that the required time of implementation would decrease. 展开更多

This paper deals with the increasing safety of working in aggressive potential locations, having SCADA system and WSN sensors, using a “probabilistic strategy” in comparison with a “deterministic” one, modeling/simulation and application in underground coal mining. In general, three conditions can be considered: 1) an unfriendly environment that facilitates the risk of accidents, 2) aggressive equipments that can compete to cause accidents and 3) the work security breaches that can cause accidents. These conditions define the triangle of accidents and are customized for an underground coal mining where the methane gas is released with the exploitation of the massive coal. In this case, the first two conditions create an explosive potential atmosphere. To allow people to work in a safe location it needs: first, a continuing monitoring through SCADA system of the explosive potential atmosphere and second, the use of antiexplosive equipment. This method, named “deterministic strategy”, increases the safety of working, but the explosions have not been completely eliminated. In order to increase the safety of working, the paper continues with the presentation of a new method based on hazard laws, named “probabilistic strategy”. This strategy was validated through modeling/simulation using CupCarbon software platform, and application of WSN networks implemented on Arduino equipments. The integration of related business applications in an organisation can bring significant advantages to the business by enabling faster supply chain management. ERP implementation enables firms to adapt and configure information flows and integrate business processes in order to enhance business performance. System implementation has been reviewed with adequate literature to significantly support the importance of arithmetic and logical concepts and basic errors in programming including typographical errors in a programme, identification of syntax errors and programme output process errors. It has further discussed the variables declaration, significance of modularization and necessity of supporting accessories along with the usability of library files and the importance of the use of frameworks. Enhancement of coding formatting and significance of coding syntax were also critically reviewed with sufficient literature to identify the system implementation failures in the ERP development process. 展开更多

The right implementation methodology will also help ensure that the ERP implementation fully addresses an organization's business goals and objectives. Modern ERP implementation methodology encourages and supports a progressive approach to the management for users of ERP systems. A company is constantly seeking better methods and models for decision supports in all kinds of decisions and developing/copying new products/markets that generate the growth of the company. On the other hand, a company creates efficient and effective operations that improve the return on investment, because ERP is always considered as an asset. This paper focuses on the interaction of culture in a company, business strategy, and organizational skills and balances the relationship among ERP methodology, ERP implementation, and the performance of the company. Considering the fact that different ERP systems use different methodologies, short descriptions of the most dominant brand name ERP are analyzed (Oracle Financials, PeopleSoft, and systems, applications, and products (SAP) implementation methodology). Although all methodologies may look similar, the selection of a proper methodology is the most critical part in ERP investment. Optimizing feature vectors and removal unnecessary channels in BCI speller application

In this paper we will discuss novel algorithms to develop the brain-computer interface (BCI) system in speller application based on single-trial classification of electroencephalogram (EEG) signal. The idea is to employ proper methods for reducing the number of channels and optimizing feature vectors. Removal unnecessary channels and reducing feature dimension result in cost decrement, time saving and improve the BCI implementation eventually. Optimal channels will be gotten after two stages sifting. In the first stage, the channels reduced up to 30% based on channels of the important event related potential (ERP) components and in the next stage, optimal channels were extracted by backward forward selection (BFS) algorithm. Also we will show that suitable single-trial analysis requires applying proper feature vector that was constructed by recognizing important ERP components, so as to propose an algorithm to distinguish less important features in feature vectors. F-Score criteria used to recognize effective features which created more discrimination between different classes and feature vectors were reconstructed based on effective features. Our algorithm has tested on dataset II of BCI competition III. The results show that we achieve accuracy up to 31% in single-trial, which is better than the performance of winner who is in this competition (about 25.5%). Also we use simple classifier and few channels to compute output performances while more complicated classifier and all channels are used by them. 展开更多

在中国的制度背景下,上市公司实施ERP系统对盈余质量的影响及影响路径,是值得研究的问题。本文以2001~2013年沪深两市A股上市公司为样本,研究发现上市公司实施ERP系统能够提高盈余质量。这表明实施ERP系统能够改善信息不对称、完善内部... 在中国的制度背景下,上市公司实施ERP系统对盈余质量的影响及影响路径,是值得研究的问题。本文以2001~2013年沪深两市A股上市公司为样本,研究发现上市公司实施ERP系统能够提高盈余质量。这表明实施ERP系统能够改善信息不对称、完善内部控制、利于外部审计监督,从而降低管理层操纵盈余的可能性。采用工具变量法、Heckman两阶段模型进行稳健性检验,结果依然成立。进一步的研究发现,实施了ERP系统的上市公司通过提高内部控制质量,进而提升盈余质量。本文的研究不仅丰富了ERP系统实施、内部控制、盈余质量的文献,而且有助于深化对ERP系统实施效果及其影响路径的认识,对企业完善内部控制、提升盈余质量、实现股东价值最大化具有重要的借鉴意义。 展开更多
