In terms of the aesthetic of folk literature and art,most researchers explain it drawing on general aesthetic theory,but pay less attention to the specific context and logic of individual cases.Folk aesthetics is deeply rooted in folk life,including local nature,village culture,farming life and folk belief.These folklore factors constitute the“local logic”,which regulates and influences folk aesthetic culture.The hidden“grammar”must be found in the folk life of the masses with a view to explaining the“essence”of folk aesthetics effectively.The concept of folk literature and art is understood in two different ways:One interprets it as“study of art and literature of folks”,regarding folk as a modifier of study of art and literature.Folk literature and art is regarded as the research object and the discipline is defined according to literary standard.This concept is from the perspective of literary studies,emphasizing that“folk literature and art is a special study of literature and art”.The other interprets it as“study of folk literature and art”,treating literature and art among the folks as the research object and defining the discipline in accordance with cultural standard.This concept is from the perspective of cultural studies.

The Current Situation and Counter Measures of Compilation of English Literature Textbooks in the Context of New Liberal Arts

With the promulgation of the“National Quality Standards for Undergraduate Teaching of Foreign Languages and Literatures in General Institutions of Higher Education”and“Teaching Guidelines”in 2018,the humanistic attributes of English majors and the important position of literature in foreign language learning are emphasized.Nowadays,the English literature curriculum is facing the problems of marginalization,reduction of class hours,simplification of curriculum and so on.Then in the context of the new liberal arts,it provides a new way to break through the dilemma of the literature curriculum.The study has collected the use of teaching materials of British and American literature courses in some colleges and universities across the country.Based on the survey results,the compilation of teaching materials in the new era should consider how to adapt to students’deep learning,autonomous learning,cross learning and research-based learning to provide guidance and support.The diversity of learning requires us to break the monotony of textbook compilation,show diversity and complement each other.

Comparison on Cultural Connotation of Plant in Treasure Island and The Swordsman

In the development of human civilization, plant has been closely attached to human beings, and also been endowed with rich cultural imagery. However, ascribed to the differences between Chinese and English cultures, plant of the same kind exhibits similar, distinct or vacant characteristics. This paper adopts comparison method so as to compare and to analyze the differences and similarities of cultural connotation contained in plant emerging in Treasure Island （a representative of western adventure literature） and The Swordsman （a representative of Chinese martial arts literature） and roles plant plays in a certain chapter, or the whole story. The literature study presents a general knowledge of research theories in this field and cultural background. Moreover, the induction method integrates and summarizes the prior analyses and researches. Reasons underlying those cultural differences are also expounded, including legend and folklore, literature works and convention and custom. The conclusion is that analyzing the cultural connotation of plant is of significance for understanding the corresponding cultural differences as well as appreciating adventure and martial arts literature.

The Impact of the Emergence of Eurasian Art Communities in the Globalizing World

Eurasian art study is an interdisciplinary approach to the solution of the problems of ethno-national rivalry and contradictions, dominating in the world. Although the roots of Eurasian arts goes back to Aristotelian-Avicennian tradition, created in Central Asia （CA） of the eve of the last millennium, the evidence of that common tradition： archaeological, philological, philosophical, linguistic, etc., interconnected with each other and recognized by the diversity of the academic schools of the last century, are not included into educational programs of the universities of the modem times. That miss, creating a gap in the world system of knowledge, restricts development of international affairs and diplomacy in its global significance. To bridge that gap, observing and analysing what was missed in the system of knowledge and how Eurasian arts communities are organizing themselves in CA of pre-soviet times, how they managed to develop through the last century and what is their perspectives now, in globalizing world, is the aim of this paper.

Authorship Identification of Classical Japanese Literature Using Quantitative Analysis

Singular authorship of＂The Tale of Genji,＂ which is the greatest accomplishment in classical Japanese literature, is doubtful In this study, we statistically analyze whether the author of Uji Jujo, which comprises the last ten chapters of the ＂Tale of Ganji,＂ is same as that of other chapters by using statistical analyses such as principal component analysis and random forests. The result of the analyses of word frequency shows that there is no obvious difference in word usage between the ten chapters and others. Thus, we conclude that it is highly possible that the chapters＇ author is same as that of others.

The Ainu are the only ethnic minority officially recognized in Japan.Ainu culture is not only a new entry point for understanding Japanese culture,but also an important medium for exploring ancient Asian civilization.This article analyzes the Ainu folk songs and legends and other oral literature and discovers:The Ainu people respect and thank the gods,and accept the gifts and punishments of the gods.However,the Ainu claim that human beings have autonomy through the belief that humans have the right to punish gods,and those humans and gods can strive for an equal two-way relationship.In addition,the Ainu emphasize the importance of coexistence between humans and other creatures in nature.It is believed that hunting and fishing are not blasphemy,but acceptances of the gifts from the gods.However,it is advocated that human beings and other creatures should give each other living space and maintain the balance of symbiosis and coexistence.The Ainu belief in relative equality with gods and coexistence with nature reflects the concept of“shared destiny”in ancient Asian civilizations.It provides an important reference for the development of modern human society.

英文文献有关武术研究的进展、热点及趋势--基于web of science核心集数据库文献的研究

武术作为我国传统文化的杰出代表之一,在同域外国家或地区的多次交流中引起了众多异质文化者的关注和研究。运用文献资料法、数理统计法、软件辅助分析法等方法,以Web of Science核心收录的有关武术研究的英文文献基础为数据,对所获得到的材料进行统计分析,找出武术研究的进展、热点及发展趋势。研究认为:我国学者在英文文献发文的总量中所占比例相对较高,但在学者个人发文量、发文作者共被引次数、机构发文量及期刊共被引次数方面的排名都不尽如人意。英文学者的研究主要集中于武术传承发展的现状、问题、应对策略和所具有的功能作用,以及武术教学改革、武术中的运动损伤、生理学和心理学对武术的作用、其他运动项目对武术发展的启示、电影和武术关系等方面,但对武术的基础理论研究较少。研究趋势主要为探究其他体育项目对武术发展的启示,分析武术对“人”的影响,探讨如何运用科学的手段促进武术发展等内容。

The Way Forward for Chinese Literature and Art in the New Era

After the 18th National Congress of the CPC held in 2012, socialism with Chinese characteristics entered a new era. This new era brings with it many connotations, including the deepening and expansion of reform across the board, dazzling results in socioeconomic development, and bold aspirations for China to forge forward as one of the world's major countries, but most importantly, it signifies the glorious path ahead for the Chinese nation. Numerous scholars from the humanities and social sciences are now in the process of studying the nature, structure, and meaning of the new era and engaging in a discourse on its historical context, practical implications, and future possibilities. As authors and artists of the new era, we are better prepared to recognize the thoughts, feelings, and mental images crystalized in people's expressions, deportment, words, and actions. This is an era in which the Chinese nation will create a brighter future for itself amidst new tests and challenges, and an era in which each individual can create a better life for themselves by fighting and persevering through all types of adversity. It is apparent from looking at both the past and the present that the direction, destiny and dynamism of Chinese literature and art are all intimately linked to the grand flow of history. Chinese literature and art develop along with the progress of the Chinese nation, and move in the same direction that the Chinese people are marching toward.

Discussion about contemporary Chinese cultural criticism and mass culture

Contemporary Chinese cultural criticism is facing traditional three factors. 我国学校武术发展的审视与救赎

中国武术自1916年进入学校教育体系至今,已有100多年学校武术发展史,从最初的“强国强种”“尚武精神”到新中国成立后的“强身健体”“活跃身心”再到新世纪力图走出国门的“奥运武术”,几经风雨,走到现在实属不易。越是优秀的东西越能走的更远,武术代表着中国独特的民族文化,理应传承下去,但是,武术发展也并非一帆风顺,特别是学校武术的发展,现状越来越令人担忧。学校武术“操化”“泛竞技化”严重制约武术的个性发展,教学内容、模式的单一枯燥和武术教育的文化缺失等问题,使学校武术教育“渐行渐远”,以至“名存实亡”。本文采用文献资料等方法,对当前学校武术发展中存在的问题进行梳理,并试图提出解决方案,以期为学校武术健康发展提供理论依据。
