Flocculation flotation is the most efficient method for recovering fine-grained minerals,and its essence lies in flotation and recovery of flocs.Fundamental physical characteristics of flocs are mainly determined by t...Flocculation flotation is the most efficient method for recovering fine-grained minerals,and its essence lies in flotation and recovery of flocs.Fundamental physical characteristics of flocs are mainly determined by their apparent particle size and structure(density and morphology).Substantial researches have been conducted regarding the effect of floc characteristics on particle settling and water treatment.However,the influence of floc characteristics on flotation has not been widely studied.Based on the floc formation and flocculation flotation,this study reviews the fundamental physical characteristics of flocs from the perspectives of floc particle size and structure,summarizing the interaction between floc particle size and structure.Moreover,it thoroughly discusses the effect of floc particle size and structure on floc floatability,further revealing the influence of floc characteristics on bubble collision and adhesion and elucidating the mechanisms of interaction between flocs and bubbles.Thus,it is observed that floc particle size is not the only factor influencing flocculation flotation.Within the appropriate apparent particle size range,flocs with a compact structure exhibit higher efficiency in bubble collision and adhesion during flotation,thereby resulting in enhanced flotation performance.This study aims to provide a reference for flocculation flotation,targeting the development of more efficient and refined flocculation flotation processes in the future.展开更多

We analyzed the 2006 and 2010 data from the Chinese Urban and Rural Elderly Population Surveys, which are nationally representative surveys of elderly people aged 60 years and above. We found that there existed a typical power-law distribution for the rates of different numbers of chronic diseases among elderly Chinese people. A Kolmogorov-Smirnov test indicated that the result was robust, and the power exponents were approximately ?2.5. In addition, a paired t-test was conducted, which demonstrated that the rates of different numbers of chronic diseases did not have significant urban-rural differences, time differences or gender differences.展开更多
The Bayan Obo deposit in northern China is an ultra-large Fe–REE–Nb deposit.The occurrences,and geochemical characteristics of thorium in iron ores from the Bayan Obo Main Ore Body were examined using chemical analy...The Bayan Obo deposit in northern China is an ultra-large Fe–REE–Nb deposit.The occurrences,and geochemical characteristics of thorium in iron ores from the Bayan Obo Main Ore Body were examined using chemical analysis,field emission scanning electron microscopy,energy dispersive spectrometer,and automatic mineral analysis software.Results identified that 91.69%of ThO2 in the combined samples was mainly distributed in rare earth minerals(bastnaesite,huanghoite,monazite;56.43%abundance in the samples),iron minerals(magnetite,hematite,pyrite;20.97%),niobium minerals(aeschynite;14.29%),and gangue minerals(aegirine,riebeckite,mica,dolomite,apatite,fluorite;4.22%).An unidentified portion(4.09%)of ThO2 may occur in other niobium minerals(niobite,ilmenorutile,pyrochlore).Only a few independent minerals of thorium occur in the iron ore samples.Thorium mainly occurs in rare earth minerals in the form of isomorphic substitution.Analyses of the geochemical characteristics of the major elements indicate that thorium mineralization in the Main Ore Body was related to alkali metasomatism,which provided source material and favorable porosity for hydrothermal mineralization.Trace elements such as Sc,Nb,Zr,and Ta have higher correlation coefficients with thorium,which resulted from being related to the relevant minerals formed during thorium mineralization.In addition,correlation analysis of ThO2 and TFe,and REO and TFe in the six types of iron ore samples showed that ThO2 did not always account for the highest distribution rate in rare earth minerals,and the main occurrence minerals of ThO2 were closely related to iron ore types.展开更多

The results indicated the geology and physiognomy of distribution area of the landslides and rockfalls in the studied area. Aiming at the problems such as the unknown reasons for the differences in the migration characteristics of typical characteristic pollutants in the same medium and the unknown migration rules of complex pollutants in soil and groundwater, this paper selected a single sample and a mixed sample of typical characteristic pollutants in coking enterprises to carry out the static adsorption test. The results showed that the distribution coefficients of benzene series and aromatic hydrocarbon pollutants in soil-water were K_(d)benzene >K_(d)toluene >K_(d)ethylbenzene >K_(d)pyrene >K_(d)anthracene >K_(d)naphthene, and the distribution coefficients of ammonia nitrogen, phenols and cyanogen were K_(d)ammonia nitrogen >K_(d)phenols >K_(d)cyanogen. The overall distribution coefficient of benzene series was higher than that of PAHs, and it was easier to be adsorbed by silty loam. Different carbon and hydrogen mass and even electron distribution of typical characteristic pollutants led to differences in the migration characteristics of benzene and aromatic pollutants. The more carbon and hydrogen there were, the more even the electron distribution was, and the more difficult it was to migrate in the soil. Among the same kind of pollutants, the migration of complex pollutants was weaker than that of single pollutants. The research could provide the parameter basis for establishing the solute transport model of groundwater and the design basis for developing the related risk control and pollution prevention strategies.展开更多

BACKGROUND The Helicobacter pylori(H.pylori)infection rate in China is approximately 50%.H.pylori is a pathogenic factor of peptic ulcer and chronic gastritis.In addition,H.pylori infection may also be associated with...BACKGROUND The Helicobacter pylori(H.pylori)infection rate in China is approximately 50%.H.pylori is a pathogenic factor of peptic ulcer and chronic gastritis.In addition,H.pylori infection may also be associated with a variety of cardiovascular diseases in elderly people,such as arteriosclerosis,coronary heart disease,and cerebral infarction,having deleterious effect on their health.With the aging of the population,the disease characteristics of the elderly population have been increasingly valued by the whole society.We conducted an epidemiological survey of H.pylori infection among elderly people in Beijing to provide a basis for health management of H.pylori infection.AIM To understand the epidemiological characteristics of H.pylori infection in elderly people in Beijing.METHODS A total of 1090 elderly people aged more than 60 years from different parts of Beijing(urban and rural areas)were selected using the random cluster sampling method.Structured questionnaires were completed during home visits and the 13C-urea breath test was conducted for H.pylori detection.RESULTS The prevalence of H.pylori infection was 46.5%(507/1090).The infection rate in men was 51.8%,which was significantly higher than that in women(42.5%;P<0.05).The H.pylori infection rate in illiterate people was significantly higher than that in literate persons(53.5%vs 44.8%,P<0.05).The total infection rate of H.pylori gradually increased with age and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01).The H.pylori infection rate in smokers was significantly higher than that in non-smokers and those who had quit smoking(P<0.05).CONCLUSION The prevalence of H.pylori infection among elderly people is 46.5%and the infection rate gradually increases with age.Sex,education level,age,and smoking were determined to be H.pylori infection risk factors.The relationship of H.pylori infection with region,occupation,drinking,and diet structure needs to be further studied.展开更多

Results show that two (normalized) model parameters, i.e., A (the normalized characteristic slip distance) and β-α (the difference in two normalized parameters of friction laws), control the solutions. From given values of △, β, and α, for the slowness laws, the solution exists and the unique non-zero fixed point is stable when △〉(β-α), yet not when △ 〈(β-α). For the slip law, the solution exists for large ranges of model parameters and the number and stability of the non-zero fixed points change from one case to another. Results suggest that the slip law is more appropriate for controlling earthquake dynamics than the slowness law.展开更多

BACKGROUND Major adverse cardiac events(MACE) in elderly patients with biliary diseases are the main cause of perioperative accidental death, but no widely recognized quantitative monitoring index of perioperative car...BACKGROUND Major adverse cardiac events(MACE) in elderly patients with biliary diseases are the main cause of perioperative accidental death, but no widely recognized quantitative monitoring index of perioperative cardiac function so far.AIM To investigate the critical values of monitoring indexes for perioperative MACE in elderly patients with biliary diseases.METHODS The clinical data of 208 elderly patients with biliary diseases in our hospital from May 2016 to April 2021 were retrospectively analysed. According to whether MACE occurred during the perioperative period, they were divided into the MACE group and the non-MACE group.RESULTS In the MACE compared with the non-MACE group, postoperative complications, mortality, hospital stay, high sensitivity troponin-Ⅰ(Hs-TnI), creatine kinase isoenzyme(CK-MB), myoglobin(MYO), B-type natriuretic peptide(BNP), and Ddimer(D-D) levels were significantly increased(P < 0.05). Multivariate logistic regression showed that postoperative BNP and D-D were independent risk factors for perioperative MACE, and their cut-off values in the receiver operating characteristic(ROC) curve were 382.65 pg/mL and 0.965 mg/L, respectively.CONCLUSION The postoperative BNP and D-D were independent risk factors for perioperative MACE, with the critical values of 382.65 pg/mL and 0.965 mg/L respectively. Consequently, timely monitoring and effective maintenance of perioperative cardiac function stability are of great clinical significance to further improve the perioperative safety of elderly patients with biliary diseases.展开更多

The results showed that the distribution coefficients of benzene series and aromatic hydrocarbon pollutants in soil-water were K_(d)benzene >K_(d)toluene >K_(d)ethylbenzene >K_(d)pyrene >K_(d)anthracene >K_(d)naphthene, and the distribution coefficients of ammonia nitrogen, phenols and cyanogen were K_(d)ammonia nitrogen >K_(d)phenols >K_(d)cyanogen. The overall distribution coefficient of benzene series was higher than that of PAHs, and it was easier to be adsorbed by silty loam. Different carbon and hydrogen mass and even electron distribution of typical characteristic pollutants led to differences in the migration characteristics of benzene and aromatic pollutants. The more carbon and hydrogen there were, the more even the electron distribution was, and the more difficult it was to migrate in the soil. Among the same kind of pollutants, the migration of complex pollutants was weaker than that of single pollutants. The research could provide the parameter basis for establishing the solute transport model of groundwater and the design basis for developing the related risk control and pollution prevention strategies.

文摘In the context of the deepening of the population aging,many countries have begun to rectify age discrimination in labor and employment to ensure that the elderly enjoy equal and adequate right to work.In accordance with relevant laws and regulations,the legal norms of age discrimination in employment are highly similar in different countries.Yet,there are differences in exemption clauses and legal relief.So far,three major regulatory modes have taken shape respectively in the United States,europe and Japan.China still lags behind in legislation against age discrimination in employment,so extraterritorial governance experiences should be taken for reference to promote relevant legislation based on intergenerational solidarity and cooperation in a timely manner,so as to provide a legal guarantee for the elderly on the right to work and the handling of population aging.China should also use human rights discourse to summarize and express its own solutions and take an active part in the process of signing the international instruments on human rights specialized for the elderly.

文摘BACKGROUND The Helicobacter pylori(H.pylori)infection rate in China is approximately 50%.H.pylori is a pathogenic factor of peptic ulcer and chronic gastritis.In addition,H.pylori infection may also be associated with a variety of cardiovascular diseases in elderly people,such as arteriosclerosis,coronary heart disease,and cerebral infarction,having deleterious effect on their health.With the aging of the population,the disease characteristics of the elderly population have been increasingly valued by the whole society.We conducted an epidemiological survey of H.pylori infection among elderly people in Beijing to provide a basis for health management of H.pylori infection.AIM To understand the epidemiological characteristics of H.pylori infection in elderly people in Beijing.METHODS A total of 1090 elderly people aged more than 60 years from different parts of Beijing(urban and rural areas)were selected using the random cluster sampling method.Structured questionnaires were completed during home visits and the 13C-urea breath test was conducted for H.pylori detection.RESULTS The prevalence of H.pylori infection was 46.5%(507/1090).The infection rate in men was 51.8%,which was significantly higher than that in women(42.5%;P<0.05).The H.pylori infection rate in illiterate people was significantly higher than that in literate persons(53.5%vs 44.8%,P<0.05).The total infection rate of H.pylori gradually increased with age and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01).The H.pylori infection rate in smokers was significantly higher than that in non-smokers and those who had quit smoking(P<0.05).CONCLUSION The prevalence of H.pylori infection among elderly people is 46.5%and the infection rate gradually increases with age.Sex,education level,age,and smoking were determined to be H.pylori infection risk factors.The relationship of H.pylori infection with region,occupation,drinking,and diet structure needs to be further studied.

文摘The two one-state-variable, rate- and state-dependent friction laws, i.e., the slip and slowness laws, are com- pared on the basis of dynamical behavior of a one-degree-of-freedom spring-slider model through numerical simulations. Results show that two (normalized) model parameters, i.e., A (the normalized characteristic slip distance) and β-α (the difference in two normalized parameters of friction laws), control the solutions. From given values of △, β, and α, for the slowness laws, the solution exists and the unique non-zero fixed point is stable when △〉(β-α), yet not when △ 〈(β-α). For the slip law, the solution exists for large ranges of model parameters and the number and stability of the non-zero fixed points change from one case to another. Results suggest that the slip law is more appropriate for controlling earthquake dynamics than the slowness law.

文摘As an approach to the interpretation of the closest connection doctrine used for years in the European continent for the choice of the law appliable to contractual relations as well as non-contractual ones,the characteristic performance test evolves with the development of international economic and trade activities.Despite criticisms on this approach as embodied in the Rome Convention,the RomeⅠRegulation retains it.This article will focus on the development of the characteristic performance theory and try to explain that this theory,as one of the interpretations and solutions to the closest connection doctrine universally accepted nowadays,has its strengths and weaknesses.

It is thought that the reasons of accidents are functions such as decline of eyesight, cognition and physical strength caused by aging. In order to assist safe driving for elderly drivers, it is necessary to sufficiently understand any possible relationship of various senior drivers’ cognition, physical strength and driving behavior. In this paper relationship of elderly driver’s cognition, physical strength and driving behaviors were analyzed using the result of driving instructions on urban road by driving school instructors.

文摘BACKGROUND Major adverse cardiac events(MACE) in elderly patients with biliary diseases are the main cause of perioperative accidental death, but no widely recognized quantitative monitoring index of perioperative cardiac function so far.AIM To investigate the critical values of monitoring indexes for perioperative MACE in elderly patients with biliary diseases.METHODS The clinical data of 208 elderly patients with biliary diseases in our hospital from May 2016 to April 2021 were retrospectively analysed. According to whether MACE occurred during the perioperative period, they were divided into the MACE group and the non-MACE group.RESULTS In the MACE compared with the non-MACE group, postoperative complications, mortality, hospital stay, high sensitivity troponin-Ⅰ(Hs-TnI), creatine kinase isoenzyme(CK-MB), myoglobin(MYO), B-type natriuretic peptide(BNP), and Ddimer(D-D) levels were significantly increased(P < 0.05). Multivariate logistic regression showed that postoperative BNP and D-D were independent risk factors for perioperative MACE, and their cut-off values in the receiver operating characteristic(ROC) curve were 382.65 pg/mL and 0.965 mg/L, respectively.CONCLUSION The postoperative BNP and D-D were independent risk factors for perioperative MACE, with the critical values of 382.65 pg/mL and 0.965 mg/L respectively. Consequently, timely monitoring and effective maintenance of perioperative cardiac function stability are of great clinical significance to further improve the perioperative safety of elderly patients with biliary diseases.
