In order to improve the quality of students' English learning and reduce the pressure on the students of design major to learn English, relevant English educators have put forward a new type of teaching method, "admiration course". With the continuous development and improvement of the "Move course", the traditional English learning methods have been obviously improved. The elimination of the inappropriate teaching methods and the use of "Mo-fu" as the teaching means have to a certain extent promoted the development of English education in colleges and universities. English is one of the most common languages in the world,and it has become one of the most important subjects in various countries.The native languages of China and Thailand are not English,and both countries are located in Asia and have many similarities in geographical location and cultural background.The Ministries of Education of the two countries have successively put forward relevant policies to promote the development of English education in the country.The implementation of these policies has promoted the development of college English course teaching in the country.These factors determine that the two countries have similarities in college English course teaching for Non-English majors.However,there are differences in teaching mode and teaching staff in the two countries because of their different national conditions,which make many differences,exist in college English course teaching for non-English majors in the two countries.During the author’s career as an exchange student in Chiang Mai University,she experienced the difference of college English course teaching for non-English majors in Thai universities,so the author did some researches on the basis of the understanding of English course teaching in Thai universities.Therefore,this thesis takes Sino-Thai college English course teaching for non-English majors as the research object—takes Jiujiang University and Chiang Mai University as example,and analyses their present situation from the aspects of the development and evolution,the teaching mode,and teaching staff of college English course teaching for non-English majors.On this basis,the author makes a comparative analysis of the English course teaching for non-English majors in two selected universities,then find their respective advantages and disadvantages,and put forward some suggestions on the development of Sino-Thai college English course teaching. 展开更多

This study applied situated learning appoach in the interpretation course of college English major students and is designed to gain the students' perception of stuated learning. From the study, it is found that most of the students showed their positive attitudes towards situated learning approach applied in their interpretation course and enjoyed their learning in such learning enviroment. However, there is still a long way to go to achieve their satisfaction. Teachers need to explore more for creating authentic atmosphere in the interpretation course to arise students' interest and passion to a greater degree. 展开更多

“美国研究”课程对英语专业学生专业能力的影响研究

随着中华文化“走出去”战略和“一带一路”倡议的不断推进,社会迫切需要通晓相关国家社会、文化、政治、法律、贸易和金融等领域的涉外人才。为了更好地满足国家的人才需求,东北某高校在英语专业本科阶段开展了英语国家研究课程的改革... 随着中华文化“走出去”战略和“一带一路”倡议的不断推进,社会迫切需要通晓相关国家社会、文化、政治、法律、贸易和金融等领域的涉外人才。为了更好地满足国家的人才需求,东北某高校在英语专业本科阶段开展了英语国家研究课程的改革探索。研究采用定性研究和定量研究相结合的方法,借助问卷调查和半结构化访谈采集数据,重点关注了“美国研究”课程对学生专业能力的影响。研究发现:“美国研究”课程对学生的英语语言综合运用能力和文学赏析能力、跨文化交流能力、学习能力、科研能力产生了不同程度的积极影响。此外,研究还发现学生存在着跨文化交流实践不足、不善调整学习策略和不善运用学术理论等问题,并针对这些问题提出了改进建议。研究结果可为改进区域国别研究课程的教学带来启示。 展开更多
