Preliminary Study on Overseas Applicability of Chinese Architectural Design Standards:Taking China-Aided Construction Projects in Asia Since the Belt and Road Initiative as Examples

This research takes China-aided construction projects in Asia since the Belt and Road Initiative as examples to explore the applicability of Chinese architectural design standards in other Asian countries.So far,the standards demonstrated the highest applicability in South Asia is the best followed by Southeast Asia.Chinese architectural design standards for educational buildings showed the highest applicability,followed by office,medical,and sports buildings.This study puts forward some strategies to improve the applicability of Chinese architectural design standards.These strategies include integrating regionalism and local cultural traditions,optimizing energy efficiency,and aligning designs with local usage habits.This study serves as a reference for similar projects in the future.

Analysis of Road Bridge Repair and Strengthening Construction Technology

Highway infrastructure plays a crucial role in the healthy development of the social economy.Therefore,China has invested a lot of financial resources in the construction of road and bridge projects in recent years,resulting in the rise in scale and number of road and bridge projects.Simultaneously,the quality of road bridges has garnered widespread attention,necessitating an exploration of common hazards associated with road bridges and the significance of their reinforcement.It is essential to delve into specific technical methods to enhance the quality and service life of road bridges.This paper elaborates on the common hazards faced by road bridges and proposes maintenance and reinforcement strategies to promote the healthy development of road bridge engineering.

Study on the Construction Technology of Subgrade Pavement in Road and Bridge Settlement Section

With the continuous development of China’s economy,the construction of roads and bridges work has put forward higher requirements.Due to various factors,the long-term use of roads and bridges will produce a settlement phenomenon.Therefore,it is crucial to address settlement issues during the construction of roads and bridges to ensure that the quality of subgrade and pavement construction meets national regulations.This paper introduces the harm of subgrade pavement subsidence,analyzes the causes of subgrade pavement deformation,and discusses the technical points of subgrade pavement construction,hoping to provide some reference for relevant practitioners.

Construction of Forest and Grass Industry Economic Belt Using Land Resources in Road Side Slope

The construction of expressway and high-speed rail is at the sacrifice of the soil ecological environment. It brings about much damaged land and bare slope. It is necessary to restore vegetation and rebuild landscape. In the design of target plant community and configuration plants,it is required to select as far as possible plants that can blossom and bear fruit or pods. Then seeds of these plants can be harvested,processed and sold,and applied for other projects,so as to develop into a complete forest and grass seed industry chain. This not only reasonably utilizes land resources,but also provides a new approach to the problem of insufficient fine forest seed sources in China. This paper discussed the use of land resources in road side slope and forest and grass seed selection and breeding technology,and elaborated the industrialized development paths for forest and grass seed industries in road side slope. Finally,it arrived at following recommendations.( i) The construction of forest and grass industry economic belt using land resources in road side slope can realize maximum land value. Building a road can help people there get rich,and the type of land and water cultivates its type of forest and grass.( ii) It can make up for the losses incurred from construction of expressway and high-speed rail or destroying forest land,and it can increase farmers' income.( iii) It can increase the supply of domestic seeds,reduce seed import,save foreign exchange,and partly solve the problem of insufficient supply of forest and grass seeds.( iv) It is able to form a complete forest and grass seed industry economic cycle chain,increase employment,and provide new approaches for enriching and benefiting farmers.

Career Planning Education Paths for Students of Aquatic Animal Medicine Discipline in the Context of the Belt and Road Initiative: A Case Study of Construction Achievement of Guangdong Ocean University

In order to improve the professional competitiveness of students in the Aquatic Animal Medicine Discipline,combined with the case tracking and theoretical practice for aquatic animal medicine students for three years,with the aid of SPSS software,this paper elaborated the actual level and existing problems in career planning of aquatic animal medicine students in Guangdong Ocean University from five dimensions:career planning awareness,self-awareness,environmental awareness,goal planning,and implementation correction. Then,it discussed the opportunities and challenges of the Aquatic Animal Medicine Discipline in the context of the Belt and Road Initiative. Finally,it came up with solutions and reform recommendations in education,teaching,and counseling paths from the students,university,families,government,and society.

Discourse Construction of the Belt and Road Initiative in British and American Media:The Perspective of Proximization Theory

This study takes the reports on China’s“One Belt,One Road”in the British and American media as the object of study,mainly by collecting more than 10,000 words from the relevant reports published in the British media The Times,The Daily Telegraph and The Guardian from 2019-2022,to create a British corpus.A number of US media outlets,such as the New York Times,Los Angeles Times and Washington Post,were also collected to extract over 10,000 words of relevant corpus to create a US corpus.The BFSU Qualitative Coder 1.1,AntConc 3.5.7 and the LLX2 chi-square test were used to analyse the perceptions of the British and American corpora on China’s“One Belt,One Road”initiative,and to explore the temporal,spatial and value convergence of speakers and addressees in the corpus in the context of convergence theory.In this paper,we explore the specific distribution and pragmatic functions of the convergence of speakers and addressees in the corpus,in order to explore and reveal the different features of the application of convergence strategies in the British and American corpora in relation to China’s“One Belt,One Road”initiative.

Evaluation of Sustainable Infrastructure in the Context of the Belt and Road Initiative:A Case Study of Kenya C12 Road Reconstruction Project

Sustainable development presents a challenge to most countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative(BRI).Given the importance of infrastructure as a key aspect of the BRI,it is of great importance to investigate sustainable infrastructure in BRI countries.This paper explores how infrastructure meets the criteria of sustainable development and promotes sustainability.However,existing evaluation frameworks are not target-oriented,systematic,and practical.To fill this gap,we provide the framework based on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and apply it to the evaluation of the C12 Road Reconstruction Project.We find that the project promotes local sustainable development as a whole but has negative effects in some respects.In addition to excellent project management,the project still can improve public communication and local integration.In terms of policy implementation,we suggest summarizing the successful business model and promoting top-down and multi-dimensions designs.
