Teachers of Chinese as a foreign language are the messengers of Chinese culture and represent the image of China. Therefore, the quality of teaching Chinese as a foreign language teachers plays a vital role in the quality of teaching Chinese as a foreign language. Immersion teaching method is a relatively successful teaching method in the field of foreign bilingual teaching. It opens a new door for teaching Chinese as a foreign language and plays an important role in improving students' ability to use Chinese. This paper comprehensively evaluates the teaching of Chinese as a whole based on immersive teaching, and calculates the data after evaluation of the evaluation index system to ensure the scientific and accurate evaluation results. Finally, it is proposed that the countermeasures should be improved from the three aspects of classroom teaching, the quality of Chinese teachers and the overall quality of the team of Chinese as a foreign language. 展开更多

Initial teacher preparation and teachers’ continuing professional development are two significant pillars of the teacher education enterprise. The former encompasses a wide range of teachereducation initiatives at the levels of diploma, bachelor’s degree, postgraduate diploma, and even master’s degree for teacher licensure purposes. These are widely documented in the literature.What is important is how teacher professional development contributes to bolstering the teachereducator force, which is relatively insufficiently documented due to the very fact that different educational systems have somewhat different expectations of such programs in relation to the ideologies and theories underpinning the teacher professional development program design and curriculum offering. Taking stock of a postgraduate diploma program in English language teaching(PGDELT) for teachers’ continuing professional development with a 31-year history housed at a premier teacher education institution in Singapore, which has successfully graduated over 1, 000 English language teachers for colleges and universities in China, I intend to highlight some of its key features, as a former student and then a lecturer on the program, in order to draw implications for sustainable growth of language teacher education programs, especially those whose main purposes are to prepare teachers of English as a second or foreign language(ESL/EFL) and provide continuing professional development opportunities for such inservice teachers. 展开更多

However, the literature does not show sufficient research on CFL teacher competency. To fill the gap, a series of exploratory research studies are initiated. As a part of the initiation, this study overviews the professional guidelines, resources, standards and requirements for CFL education in the U.S. at the national and state levels. The findings will be useful for designing teacher education program and teacher training program. In addition, student teachers, pre-service teachers, and in-service teachers can also use them as great references for their academic and/or professional development. 展开更多

产能治理是推动我国经济高质量发展的重要途径。笔者先从理论上分析了企业OFDI治理产能过剩的作用机制,然后利用大样本的企业微观数据,结合马氏距离匹配倍差法实证检验了企业OFDI对产能利用率的影响。研究结果表明:中国企业OFDI显著提... 产能治理是推动我国经济高质量发展的重要途径。笔者先从理论上分析了企业OFDI治理产能过剩的作用机制,然后利用大样本的企业微观数据,结合马氏距离匹配倍差法实证检验了企业OFDI对产能利用率的影响。研究结果表明:中国企业OFDI显著提升了产能利用率,且所得结论在替换被解释变量和滞后性稳健检验后依然成立;分样本比较分析发现企业OFDI对产能利用率的影响因企业类型不同而存在差异性,其中国有、中西部地区、资本密集型及投资于发达国家企业OFDI对产能利用率的提升效应显著大于民营、东部地区、劳动密集型及投资于发展中国家企业。基于此,笔者认为:我国政府应继续鼓励企业OFDI以化解产能过剩,分类做好企业对外投资的合理引导工作,并为企业对外投资提供便利条件,从而在微观上提升企业经营效益,在宏观上推动我国经济高质量发展。 展开更多

In order to revamp school bilingualism in FPE (Francophone primary education) in Cameroon some changes were brought about after the release of a new education orientation law in 1998. Those changes include the institution of NSE (new syllabuses of English), the institution of an English paper at the end-of-primary school examination, the adoption new course books, the decision requesting all FPE teachers to teach English alongside other subjects This paper the data of which stem from a survey of teachers (n = 222), pupils (n = 589), parents (n = 293), and head teachers (n = 23) in some 30 schools of Yaounde proposes some strategies to help curb the crucial lack of qualified teachers, the high cost of teaching and learning materials and the glaring lack of motivation of teachers. Strategies include how to train specialist teachers in numbers, the institution of a BPB (bilingualism promotion bonus) to generate sustained motivation to teach, a substantial subsidization of course book production With these measures the promotion of French/English school bilingualism in Cameroon primary education may turn from the myth of Sisyphus it has become into a successful undertaking 展开更多
