With our country’s social development,the gap between urban and rural education has become increasingly obvious,especially the difference in student achievement.This study aims to explore the impact of the urban-rura...With our country’s social development,the gap between urban and rural education has become increasingly obvious,especially the difference in student achievement.This study aims to explore the impact of the urban-rural education gap on student achievement.The study adopts a quantitative analysis method to collect and analyze the academic performance,learning resources,and social resources of urban and rural students.The results show that the unbalanced distribution of educational resources in urban and rural areas is the key factor leading to the gap in students’achievement.For example,urban education resources are abundant while rural education resources are relatively scarce.At the same time,the difference in social environment and family economic status also have a significant impact on student achievement.The differences between urban and rural areas,particularly in terms of family economic conditions and their ability to invest in education,further widen the gap between urban and rural education.The results of this study can provide a reference for reducing the gap between urban and rural education and improving the academic performance of rural students.A fair education policy is essential to narrow the gap between urban and rural education resources distribution,so as to improve the equality of education in society.展开更多

The sample of...This study was conducted to investigate the influence of the L 1 (first language) (Arabic) on learning ESL (English as a second language) in Jordanian schools, and its relation to education policy. The sample of the study consisted of 266 high school graduates Jordanian students in the academic year 2013-2014. A translation test consisted of 24 items and divided to eight areas was constructed to arrive at the objectives of the study. The study concluded that the percentage of total errors committed by the study sample in all areas exceeds percentage of correct answers (wrong answers is 52.48'%, correct answers is 47.52%), and the students committed more transfer errors in the types of verb to be, addition to, andpassive voice than other types of errors as a result of the effect of the L1.展开更多

A questionnaire was designed in this study and teachers in 89 primary and secondary schools in Liaocheng City, Shandong Province filled in the questionnaires. A total of 355 valid questionnaires were collected. This study analyzed the survey data, and drawn a series of conclusions about the current situation of film and television education in primary and secondary schools on the basis of data analysis. 文摘Colleges and universities are an important stage of“moral cultivation”and they are the key to cultivate talents,which play an indispensable role in public art education.Public art education in colleges and universities plays an important role in cultivating college students’aesthetic ability,cognitive ability,innovation ability,etc.,but there are still development difficulties in the aspects of development concept,cultural practice,system implementation,etc.Problems in the development process should be solved.It is necessary for colleges and universities to carry out systematic reform from the aspects of public art education policy support system,curriculum teaching system,teacher team system,art activity system,etc.Clarifying the orientation of public art education in colleges and universities,allocating public art education teachers,scientifically setting up public art education curriculum system,and promoting cultural inheritance and innovation are the current exploration paths for the development of public art education in colleges and universities.
文摘The initiative of“One Belt and One Road”is an important development strategy under the new normal economic background of China,and foreign economic development relies heavily on foreign language talents of the nation.However,the current foreign language education in China has faced problems from a shortage of compound foreign language talents,inadequacy of foreign languages offered,and imbalanced regional development.Given that the initiative has higher requirements for cultivating foreign language talents,we hold that China’s current foreign language education policy may reform from conducting theoretical studies of foreign language teaching,offering more foreign languages and enhancing professional development of teachers.Conversely,China’s foreign language talents can contribute more to the effective and smooth implementation of the“One Belt and One Road”initiative.
文摘Educational cooperation is one of the key factors to embody humanistic exchanges and promote the development of international relations.Through the analysis of four survey reports on China-U.S.educational cooperation,it is found that American policy elites generally attach importance to the distribution of power,the application of law,mutual benefit between the two countries in educational cooperation,and pay attention to the potential motivation and influence of China.China should rationally refer to the views and suggestions,strengthen the effectiveness of dialogue mechanism,enhance the credibility of international discourse,and at the same time encourage the negotiation and governance among cooperative universities,so as to promote the stable and sustainable development of education cooperation.
