This study explores for the first time the implementation of ideological and political education in the teaching of pathophysiology courses, and also analyzes the evaluation of student psychological status and the importance of mental health education in the implementation of IPE courses. A survey was conducted on 211 students at Yangtze University to understand their motivation and behavior towards learning ideological, political, and pathophysiological courses. In addition, a questionnaire survey was used to explore the relationship between pathophysiology and ideological and political courses, as well as the importance of their satisfaction with the implementation of ideological and political courses in pathophysiology and mental health education. The research results indicate that factors such as educational background and gender differences affect the learning of CIPE. Graduate students are more interested in ideological and political courses, while female students find it difficult to study pathophysiology; In addition, the results of one-way ANOVA indicate that the implementation effect of IPE in pathophysiology courses depends on the level of interest in IPE and pathophysiology courses, the level of consideration for the importance of professional courses, the professional gains after studying pathophysiology, and the level of understanding of the relationship between IPE and CIPE. 81.04% of students believe that in the CIPE process, telling stories by teachers themselves is the most popular way of communication and education. This reflects the importance of mental health education from the perspective of CIPE. In addition, this study also indicates that PBL and flipped classroom teaching models are popular teaching models in CIPE. This study is beneficial for promoting the improvement and implementation of CIPE and mental health education in higher education curricula, thus providing valuable insights for educational decision-makers.展开更多

Patients in the intervention group received a purposely designed and nurse-delivered psycho-educational intervention in addition to routine caring and chemotherapy, whereas those in the control group underwent chemotherapy and routine caring only. QOL of patients was assessed according to QOL instrument for lung cancer (QLICP-LU). The impact of the psycho-educational intervention on QOL was analyzed using independent-sample t test and χ2 test. 文摘Many educational and trauma psychologists have studied the impacts that rape and sexual assault have on the well-being of undergraduate students. However, few have analyzed the traumatic impact such events have on students after their undergraduate careers. This work looks at how students respond immediately and the years following a rape situation as they encounter the academic demands of graduate level education.Based on a study I ran in the Shenandoah Valley region of Virginia, this work scrutinizes the academic achievement differences in these two groups. This analysis uses the constructs outlined by psychologists regarding the added academic expectations in graduate education and studies involving the responses undergraduate students have in the classroom after experiencing similar scenarios. This will show the huge lulling impact such trauma has on a graduate student. In so doing, this work illuminates the dramatic impact that trauma can have on a student’s mind and shows that no matter what level of higher education a student is encountering this trauma in,the effects on a student’s learning capacity are drastic. Moreover, this work outlines for educators the added challenges their students may face who are in similar situations. This article is dedicated to Dr.Paul Menzer and Dr.Kerry Cooke who proved to be the most understanding and caring educators I have experienced in my academic career.
文摘Objective: To investigate the treatment effect of essential hypertension based on health education. Methods: A randomized controlled field intervention trial was used in this study, patients with essential hypertension treated in community health services were subjects investigated, and psychological intervention should be carried out based on pharmaceutical services, to evaluate the effect of psychological intervention model based on pharmaceutical care on blood pressure control and overall health improvement in patients with essential hypertension. Results: Before treatment, systolic and diastolic blood pressure had no significant difference between two groups, P > 0.05. After treatment, SBP and DBP in two groups were significantly decreased compared to that before treatment in the same group. After treatment, SBP and DBP in the intervention group were significantly decreased compared with normal group, P 0.05). After treatment, the scores of the physiological health subscale and the total scale of the control group, the scores of each subscale and the total amount of the intervention group were significantly higher than those before the same group, the difference was statistically significant (P Conclusion: Under the background of the new round of medical and health system reforms, this model will help health workers and community residents establish new types of doctor-patient relationship and improve the quality of life of chronic diseases such as hypertension.
文摘Group discussion teaching technique for small groups and encouragement of critical but constructive and creative thinking for finding new and efficient solutions can lead to provision of better health and medical services that is defined in clinical setting, as the clinical psychology finds a way for curing and education. The present study was conducted with the aim to compare the effects of creative group teaching and educational booklet on interpersonal skills of midwives in a clinical setting. The present study was conducted on 97 midwifery graduates working in hospitals in Kerman Province, in two groups of educational booklet (49 midwives) and educational workshop (48 midwives) who participated in a 3-day creative teaching workshop in summer 2015. Creative problem-solving teaching intervention group was taught through educational workshop method, including small group and team working, group discussion and mini lectures. Midwifery 1 intervention group was provided with an educational booklet validated by professors of Nursing and Midwifery School for independent and individual study by midwives working in Kerman Province hospitals. The two groups were matched in terms of personal details. Hospitals were randomly selected, and midwives were selected by quota sampling. Interpersonal communication skills of both groups were assessed before and after intervention, and two months later using Interpersonal Communication Skills Test. The results obtained were analyzed in SPSS-16 using descriptive statistics, including frequency and percentage, mean and standard deviation, and inferential statistics including U-Mann-Whitney, paired t, independent t, repeated measures ANOVA tests at significance level of P P P P P < 0.001). Both teaching methods improved midwives’ interpersonal communication skills. Therefore, standardized educational booklets which produce cost-effective similar results are recommended.
文摘Objective: Cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy commonly experience depression and anxiety, which, along with adverse effects of chemotherapy, inevitably compromise quality of life (QOL) of the patients. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of a psycho-educational intervention on the quality of life (QOL) of patients with advanced lung cancer undergoing chemotherapy. Methods: Two hundred in-patients with unresectable advanced lung cancer undergoing chemotherapy in Shanxi Cancer Hospital from January to October 2013 were randomized into the intervention group (n = 100) and the control group (n = 100). Results: The psychological, physical, and social function, and the overall QOL scores were significantly improved in patients who received the psycho-educational intervention compared with those in the control group. Conclusions: A nurse-delivered psycho-educational intervention is a useful strategy to improve QOL of patients with advanced lung cancer undergoing chemotherapy.
