This paper proposes a sub-critical nuclear energy system driven by fusion neutron source, FDS, which can be used to transmute long-lived radioactive wastes and to produce fissile nuclear fuel as a way for early application of fusion technology. The necessity and feasibility to develop that system in China are illustrated on the basis of prediction of the demand of energy source in the first half of the 21th century, the status of current fission energy supply and the progress in fusion technology in the world. The characteristics of fusion neutron driver and the potential for transmutation of long-lived nuclear wastes and breeding of fissile nuclear fuel in a blanket are analyzed. Reproduction technologies(RTs)can provide for the reliable reproduction of amphibians,as well as perpetuation of species genetic variation with the use of biobanks.In 1982,in anticipation of the biodiversity conservation crisis,major Russian institutions collaborated in a dynamic program to develop and implement RTs for the sustainable management of amphibian biodiversity.An initial primary focus was the captive breeding of threatened Russian endemic anuran and caudate species,using RTs that varied from environmental manipulation to the use of exogenous gonadotropic hormones to stimulate reproduction.These species were mostly from Palearctic or cool mountain regions,but also included a wide range of species from warm regions.Other early achievements included the successful cryopreservation of anuran spermatozoa and anuran diploid pluripotent cell nuclei,in order to store both the matrilineal and patrilineal genomes in biobanks,with their subsequent development to the blastula stage after implantation into enucleated oocytes.After the turn of the 21st Century,in support of the priorities of the Amphibian Conservation Action Plan(2007),we developed RTs for the refrigerated storage of testicular or urinary spermatozoa for days to weeks at 4℃,the cryopreservation of urinary spermatozoa using anovel cryoprotectant,the in vitro fertilisation of hormonally induced oocytes either fresh or after refrigerated ex situ or in situ storage,and the artificial insemination of salamanders with fresh spermatozoa.In this article,we describe previously unpublished techniques and techniques from obscure Russian sources. 展开更多

The effect of administrating hyoscine bromide on pregnancy rate before embryo transfer in ART cycles 被引量:1

Assisted reproductive technology methods i.e., IVF and ICSI were extensively used for treatment of infertility. Although, these methods have many advantages but ART pregnancy rate remains low (30% - 35%). It seems that uterine peristalsis occurred after rhCG administration in turn resulting to impair implantation of the transferred embryos. Therefore this study was conducted to possess of whether hyoscine bromide can effectively alleviate uterine contraction and then have any effect on the reproductive outcome. Healthy women who underwent IVF or ICSI cycles (n = 142) were randomly assigned to one of two groups at the start of the cycle. Group control (n = 71) without applied hyoscine and group experiment (n = 71) applied hyoscine (25 mg). Controlled ovarian hyperstimulation was induced with follicle stimulating hormone (FSH). Sperm preparation and ovarian puncture for in vitro maturation and fertilization (IVF) of oocyte were carried out for 42 hours after rhCG injection. Two weeks after rhCG injection, bhCG pregnancy test to determine pregnancy outcome in both groups was done and the outcome results, along with other information were recorded separately. The pregnancy rate in experimental group was significantly higher than that of control group. when all of the cycles with or without giving 25 mg of hyosine were stratified by the mean total follicles (more/less than 2 follicles) and embryos (more/less than25 kg/m2), the Patients’ age, the quality grade of embryos and infertility duration (more/less than 5 years), the reproductive outcome, in overall, in the subjects with more than 10 oocytes, 5 embryos, more than quality A and B grades of embryos, less than 35 years age and also less than 5 years infertility duration was more pronounced than the other patients. But the other parameter was not affected by the reproductive outcome. Clinical or statistical improvement of the reproductive outcome could be demonstrated in the hyosine treated group especially with increasing the mean total follicles, embryo, quality of embryo in women with low age and infertility duration. However, further well-designed studies are essential to offer a final conclusion. 展开更多

Objective: To explore the significance of dual-energy CT non-linear fusion technique in improving the quality of CTA image of renal cancer. Methods: The CTA images of 100 patients who had been confirmed by pathology as renal cancer were collected and were randomly divided into experimental group and control group with 50 cases respectively. The two groups of patients were treated with iodine concentration of 300 mg/ml and 350 mg/ml non-ionic contrast agent, with a dosage of 1.5 ml/kg and an injection rate of 4 ml/s. The contrast agent intelligently tracking method was adopted bolus. The control group used the conventional CTA scanning, with a reference tube voltage/tube current of 100 kv/ref150 mas. The experimental group adopted the double energy scanning, with ball tube A and ball tube B. The reference tube voltage/tube current was 100 kv/ref250 mas and sn150 kv/ref125 mas respectively. The images of the experimental group were non-linear fused to obtain the Mono+ 55 kev single-energy images. The CT value, SNR contrast ratio of the abdominal aorta, renal artery and tumor tissue of the experimental group images and the 100 KV images and the Mono+ 55 kev images of the control group were compared. The objective evaluation and subjective evaluation of the image quality of the three groups of images was performed. Results: The results showed that the 100 kV images of the experimental group were statistically different from those of the control group (P05) in CT value, SNR and CNR (P 0.05). And there was no statistically significant difference between the non-linear fusion single-energy Mono+ 55 kev images and the control group images in CT value, SNR and CNR (P > 0.05). The subjective evaluation of image quality showed that there was no significant difference between Mono+ 55 kev images and control group images, and the quality of Mono+ 55 kev images was higher than that of experimental group 100 kV images. Conclusion: The dual-energy CT non-linear fusion technique can improve the quality of CTA image in patients with renal cancer, and it is possible to obtain high quality CTA images with low iodine concentration contrast agent. 展开更多
