This study adopts the grounded theory approach to critically examine the essence and implementation of Ideological and Political Education(IPE)within college English curricula at Chinese Universities.We analyzed a cor...This study adopts the grounded theory approach to critically examine the essence and implementation of Ideological and Political Education(IPE)within college English curricula at Chinese Universities.We analyzed a corpus of 80 award-winning lesson plans from the“Teaching Star Competition”held by the Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press to establish specific constituents that comprise IPE and identify the instructional methodologies incorporated in the teaching process.The research shows that IPE strategically merges language proficiency training with civic education,aiming to cultivate a strong national identity,solid cultural pride,and global competencies.To be more detailed,the core categories of IPE encapsulate critical thinking,professional ethics,and cross-cultural communication skills,which are based on the innovative use of technological resources and adaptive pedagogical strategies.IPE has also elaborated on the comprehensive assessment mechanisms to measure cognitive and affective outcomes,making it a multidimensional activity.Following a three-stage coding process,this study aims to contribute to this discussion regarding ideological and political education integrated into Chinese higher education institutions.The finding and conclusion in this study drawn for future curriculum developments and reformulation of educational policy suggest ways IPE could better serve in fostering well-rounded individuals capable of contributing to national and global contexts.展开更多

文摘In this paper, we conduct research on the necessity and the way of introducing legal theory into college ideological and politicaleducation under legal environment. Education courses in colleges and universities should grasp of Marxism is the unity of scientifi c theories andscientifi c faith that causes the student to accept and agree with Marxism, to establish faith in Marxism. All faith in essence is the awakening ofman “class consciousness”, is the feeling of value and meaning of life, to leave this, any belief is not established, the establishment of Marxismbelief is also inseparable from it. Therefore under the new media environment, the ideological and political teachers should actively change theteaching idea, set up the general modern education teaching idea, further strengthen the application of all kinds of new media in ideological andpolitical education, only in this way can in maximum extent, improve the college ideological education level and education quality, and promotethe healthy development of college students. 文摘Since the Party Central Committee has explicitly requested the running of excellent ideological and political theory courses,the teaching methods of ideological and political theory courses have become a major topic of discussion in academic circles.A gap remains between the current teaching methods of ideological and political theory courses and those in the new era.In order to improve the nurturing effect of key courses,it is necessary to study the basic logic of its effectiveness enhancement from the perspective of practice.In the new era,it is essential to take the spirit from the series of important speeches of the Party and national leaders on ideological and political theory courses as guidance,draw on the effective teaching ideas of Comenius that reflect“fun,”“convenience,”and“thoroughness,”closely combine the teaching practice,as well as select and apply the teaching methods based on the concept of three“combinations”and two“innovations,”i.e.,combining students,teachers’teaching styles,and teaching contents;and innovating and practicing the integrated teaching method of diversified integration as well as the new teaching method of media technology-integrated smart classroom.
文摘Based on the demand of social development for people with both ability and political integrity,it has been acknowledged that some college students have a problem,where their personal morality does not match their professional knowledge.In short,these students have rich and profound professional knowledge,but their personal morality is lacking.Therefore,the attention to such a problem is called for.This paper analyzes the path of cultivating college students’personal morality in ideological and political theory courses in the new era,combs and expounds the occurrence mechanism between college students’personal morality and ideological and political theory courses in the new era,improves the effectiveness of moral cultivation in ideological and political theory courses from four dimensions-teaching materials,teachers,teaching methods,and evaluation,as well as gives full play to the moral cultivation function of ideological and political theory courses in colleges and universities.
