Data services,knowledge services,and information services are the core service elements of university libraries in the context of the Double First-Class Initiative.Combined with the current situation of insufficient o...Data services,knowledge services,and information services are the core service elements of university libraries in the context of the Double First-Class Initiative.Combined with the current situation of insufficient overall service capacity of libraries,this paper proposed strategies and implementation paths for optimizing the service system from three aspects:the construction of the professional qualification system for librarians,the establishment of post institutions,and the construction of library culture.Long-term path:putting library human resource management into the legal track,taking the lead in local legislation,and promoting the construction of library legislation and professional qualification certification system;optimizing the personnel system,implementing hierarchical management and classified assessment for professional librarians and auxiliary librarians.Short-term path:intensive post allocation,namely,assigning the core strength in the core post,and tackling the temporary major work combining multiple forces in the form of a"working group";building an open knowledge service ecosystem,accelerate the cross-border integration of libraries and other organizations,and striving to build the core competitiveness of libraries.展开更多

Archetypes are the images or patterns recurring again and again in literature through...This article involves the study of the psychic remnants commonly known as Archetypes in Sean O'Casey's play Juno and the Paycock. Archetypes are the images or patterns recurring again and again in literature through the ages. It also focuses on the minute difference between archetype and archetypal image as discussed by Jung with special reference to the characters and other images in the play beating relevance with the universal archetypes. This article also highlights the play as a connective link in the series of the different pieces of literature via the unique use of the psychic remnants. It emphasises on the different use of those remnants interwoven in the mosaic of the characters and plot of the play.展开更多
The state-of-the-art universal steganalysis method,spatial rich model(SRM),and the steganalysis method using image quality metrics(IQM)are both based on image residuals,while they use 34671 and 10 features respectivel...The state-of-the-art universal steganalysis method,spatial rich model(SRM),and the steganalysis method using image quality metrics(IQM)are both based on image residuals,while they use 34671 and 10 features respectively.This paper proposes a novel steganalysis scheme that combines their advantages in two ways.First,filters used in the IQM are designed according to the models of the SRM owning to their strong abilities for detecting the content adaptive steganographic methods.In addition,a total variant(TV)filter is also used due to its good performance of preserving image edge properties during filtering.Second,due to each type of these filters having own advantages,the multiple filters are used simultaneously and the features extracted from their outputs are combined together.The whole steganalysis procedure is removing steganographic noise using those filters,then measuring the distances between images and their filtered version with the image quality metrics,and last feeding these metrics as features to build a steganalyzer using either an ensemble classifier or a support vector machine.The scheme can work in two modes,the single filter mode using 9 features,and the multi-filter mode using 639 features.We compared the performance of the proposed method,the SRM and the maxSRMd2.The maxSRMd2 is the improved version of the SRM.The simulated results show that the proposed method that worked in the multi-filter mode was about 10%more accurate than the SRM and maxSRMd2 when the data were globally normalized,and had similar performance with the SRM and maxSRMd2 when the data were locally normalized.展开更多
Galaxy photometric redshift(photoz)is crucial in cosmological studies,such as weak gravitational lensing and galaxy angular clustering measurements.In this work,we try to extract photoz information and construct its p...Galaxy photometric redshift(photoz)is crucial in cosmological studies,such as weak gravitational lensing and galaxy angular clustering measurements.In this work,we try to extract photoz information and construct its probability distribution function(PDF)using the Bayesian neural networks from both galaxy flux and image data expected to be obtained by the China Space Station Telescope(CSST).The mock galaxy images are generated from the Hubble Space Telescope-Advanced Camera for Surveys(HST-ACS)and COSMOS catalogs,in which the CSST instrumental effects are carefully considered.In addition,the galaxy flux data are measured from galaxy images using aperture photometry.We construct a Bayesian multilayer perceptron(B-MLP)and Bayesian convolutional neural network(B-CNN)to predict photoz along with the PDFs from fluxes and images,respectively.We combine the B-MLP and B-CNN together,and construct a hybrid network and employ the transfer learning techniques to investigate the improvement of including both flux and image data.For galaxy samples with signal-to-noise ratio(SNR)>10 in g or i band,we find the accuracy and outlier fraction of photoz can achieve σ_(NMAD)=0.022 and η=2.35% for the B-MLP using flux data only,and σ_(NMAD)=0.022 and η=1.32% for the B-CNN using image data only.The Bayesian hybrid network can achieve σ_(NMAD)=0.021 and η=1.23%,and utilizing transfer learning technique can improve results to σ_(NMAD)=0.019 and η=1.17%,which can provide the most confident predictions with the lowest average uncertainty.展开更多

This study provides a valuable methodology to unders...The purpose of this paper is to examine present librarian skills in academic libraries and to propose possible directions of future libraries on skill requirements. This study provides a valuable methodology to understand the current demands of employers for library staff. It also begins to highlight trends in how the skill set and outlook for future employees are currently being viewed. There has been a combination of these understandings with the scenario planning technique to draw threads anticipating skill requirements in three to five years. These approaches create a powerful analysis. An examination of recent library position advertisements and job descriptions in five countries and regions showed broad communication and technology skills required in academic libraries. The key terms of skills were ranked according to the frequencies used in the advertisements and descriptions. Original research based on data from the United States, Australia, the United Kingdom, New Zealand and Hong Kong, SAR, China. The results are harmonized with predicted future trends from scenario planning exercises.展开更多
