Whenever serious conflicts arose between the imperial power and Buddhism, the relationship was always quickly repaired. Secondly, the imperial power was always dominant in the relationship between the two. Thirdly, in this relationship, Sinified Buddhism,with a strong tendency to engage with the secular world, often took the initiative to harmonize and improve its relationship with the imperial power.展开更多
