Objective:To explore the application advantages of problem-based learning(PBL)teaching method in clinical emergency teaching.Methods:Two classes of students in the five-year clinical medicine major of our university were selected as the research subjects and divided into two groups according to different teaching methods.Among them,50 students who received the traditional teaching method constituted the control group,while 52 students who received the PBL teaching method constituted the observation group.After one semester,an exam was conducted to assess their theoretical knowledge and first-aid practical skills,and evaluate their clinical thinking skills.At the same time,a teaching satisfaction questionnaire was distributed to evaluate the teaching satisfaction.Results:The results of the t-test showed that the observation group was significantly higher than the control group in terms of theoretical assessment,first aid practical assessment,and clinical thinking skills,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The results of theχ2 test showed that the difference in teaching satisfaction between the observation group and the control group was statistically significant(P<0.05),and the teaching satisfaction in the observation group was significantly higher than the control group.Conclusion:Compared with traditional teaching methods,applying PBL teaching method in clinical emergency teaching can achieve more significant teaching effects.Students’mastery of theoretical knowledge,first aid practical skills,and clinical thinking skills can be effectively strengthened,and it is conducive to improving teaching satisfaction. 展开更多

Objective:Skill competence is essential for nursing students and experiential teaching method has become increasingly popular in China’s nursing education.To systematically evaluate the effects of experiential teaching method on the development of nursing students’skill competence,and to provide evidence for nursing education.Methods:The China National Knowledge Infrastructure,VIP,Wanfang Data,PubMed,and Web of Science databases were searched from their inception until November 28,2019.We screened the studies according to inclusion and exclusion criteria,extracted the data,and assessed the quality.Then,a meta-analysis was conducted.Results:Totally 15 studies were included,and 1,633 nursing students were analyzed by Review Manager5.3 and Stata15.1 software.The results show that the experiential teaching method can significantly improve nursing students’nursing skills such as training(SMD=1.05,95%CI:0.95–1.16,P=0.000),learning interest(ES=0.93,95%CI:0.79–1.06),ability to analyze and solve problems(ES=0.75,95%CI:0.55–0.94),ability to judge and innovative thinking(ES=1.01,95%CI:0.77–1.25),abilities of understanding and perception(ES=0.59,95%CI:0.34–0.83),and teaching satisfaction(ES=1.26,95%CI:1.13–1.4).Conclusions:The results suggest that the experiential teaching method is more effective for the nursing students’skill competence than traditional teaching in China.However,due to the heterogeneity and bias risk,a large sample and high-quality studies are needed in future to confirm its effectiveness. 展开更多

Introduction: Maternal mortality, which is estimated at 614 deaths per 100,000 births in C&#244;te d’Ivoire, is associated with a low national contraceptive prevalence rate of 13.9%. In this study, we are interested in the contraceptive experiences of women who attend health centers to estimate their rate of contraceptive use and to assess the factors involved in the use of modern contraceptive methods among women of childbearing age who are exposed to the risk of pregnancy. Method: A descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted from December 2018 to September 2019 among 423 women, who attended two health centers in Abidjan. A bivariate analysis identified factors associated with contraceptive use by these women. A descriptive analysis determined the means for the quantitative variables and the frequencies and percentages of qualitative variables. Interpretation of results was based on significance (α = 5%, 95% CI). Results: Contraceptive prevalence was 37%. There was a significant relationship between contraceptive use and the socio-demographic and reproductive characteristics of women (p Conclusion: Women who were over 35 years age, uneducated, primary school graduates, housewives, unemployed, in the informal sector, Muslims, nulliparous, and lacking information and decision-making power were less likely to use modern contraceptive methods. It takes more time and is easier to fall into the local minimum value when using the traditional full-supervised learning algorithm to train RBFNN. Therefore, the paper proposes one algorithm to determine the RBFNN’s data center based on the improvement density method. First it uses the improved density method to select RBFNN’s data center, and calculates the expansion constant of each center, then only trains the network weight with the gradient descent method. To compare this method with full-supervised gradient descent method, the time not only has obvious reduction (including to choose data center’s time by density method), but also obtains better classification results when using the data set in UCI to carry on the test to the network. 展开更多
