In the speech delivered at the centenary celebration of the Communist Party of China(CPC),Xi Jinping,general secretary of the Communist Party of China(CPC)Central Committee,made important remarks on the“Chinese path to modernization.”This term represents the latest achievement China has scored in adapting Marxism to the Chinese context and the needs of the times.It has set the course as China embarks on a new journey of building a strong socialist country with Chinese characteristics and achieving national rejuvenation.Drawing on CiteSpace,we conducted a visualized bibliometric analysis of literature on the Chinese path to modernization by searching the CNKI database using subject terms such as“Chinese modernization,Chinese path to modernization,and Chinese-style modernization.”The findings reveal that:(a)Research on the Chinese path to modernization has gone through three stages:initial establishment,pioneering exploration,and comprehensive in-depth development.(b)Existing literature has covered the four key topics associated with the Chinese path to modernization,namely its essence,goal,methodology,and pioneering achievements.(c)Future research may focus on building up China’s strength in agriculture,developing the digital economy,modernizing China’s system and capacity for governance,and establishing a unique socialist discourse system for Chinese modernization. 展开更多

The development of economy and industrialization further accelerates the pace of development of graphic design education.The educational system actively adopted two ways of“going out”and“inviting in”to communicate with the western world in graphic design(Zhang,2009).Chinese design began to re-examine its balance between globalization and localization after rapid absorption and international experience digestion.As for the negative influence,it led to the risk of developing short-sightedness in design education.Faced with unprecedented challenges,the graphic design industry was continually expanding its functions.The development of Chinese design cannot entirely rely on its own.There was no doubt that graphic design was indeed facing significant obstacles.The suggestions from the American Institute of Graphic Arts(AIGA)are set very high to achieve;the objectives will be excellent if academia can follow.A study aims to understand the overall curriculum and course design and how best to modify the general curriculum and course design to allow for industry practices changes and keep a close eye on the Chinese market's changing needs for design should be carried out. 展开更多

Considering some complex reasons for history, civilization, ideology and custom etc, he paid attention to secular education as well as doing missionary work to attain his Christian goal. He laid much stress on the function of education, so he proposed Chinese government should set up Educational Department. In the late Qing Dynasty, he participated in the organization and management of Shanxi Imperial University. Under the circumstances of modern times of China, when it was in the grip of national crisis, and the contradictory between China and foreign countries was acute and complicated, all the work he had done exerted objective influences in many aspects. The education and research of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)in Malaysia started coincidentally circa Malaysia’s independence movement.Before the independence,much of the development focused on establishing treatment centers and Chinese medical halls to provide TCM treatment.Periodicals and journals advocating TCM and its advancement were published between the 1940s and 1960s,but many did not survive after a few issues.The challenge posed by the Immigration Ordinance 1952 further united TCM practitioners and TCM associations to establish the Chinese Medical Institute of Malaya.The trend gained momentum,and many educational institutes were set up in each of Malaysia.From the 1970s,Malaysia started hosting regional and international TCM conferences.In 2000,TCM education in Malaysia had finally gained recognition from the government.ATCM program standard was thus released by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency(MQA).To date,there are seven private higher education institutions which offer TCM programs based on the MQA standards and have established international collaborations with other universities.It is projected that Malaysia’s TCM education and research will grow further as a result of China’s Belt and Road initiative. 展开更多

Perceiving musicology as a combination of scientific and academic disciplines, and considering the history and the way of its development, the author pays more attention to the problem of understanding the evolution of music and musical science. Music education is presented in the relationship of the two main areas: science and education. There is evidence of a gradual expansion and changes in the content and methods of the science of music. The 21st century rapidly and dynamically entered in our lives in terms of the development of information communication, technological progress and unprecedented rise of scientific thought. Social upheavals of this period of history, a powerful wave of liberation movements have caused an unprecedented intensification of national creative forces committed to the development, expansion of contacts, attached to the other cultures. To date, the science of music has evolved so much on what grew out of it and separated into clearly separate spheres with their problems, trends, directions: music theory, music history, ethnomusicology, musical philosophy, and also music source studying. And it should be noted that each of these areas has its embodiment in materialized form of faculties, departments in the conservatory. Development of new standards, new plans, programs, new courses is a related process of development of these sciences in general. 展开更多

The socialist legal education system with Chinese characteristics develops on the basis of completely negating and profoundly criticizing the old legal education system, and establishing a new legal education system guided by the Marxist view of state and law;it is created and develops on the basis of learning from the Soviet Union model, in combination with China's specific conditions and independent exploration;and it is constantly improved and develops under the new historical conditions of reform and opening up and socialist modernization drive, and on the basis of meeting the needs of perfecting socialist democracy and strengthening socialist legal systems, and profoundly summarizing the positive and negative experience of socialist legal construction in China. After its founding in 1949,the People’s Republic of China'started to modernize its fiscal system-an essential part of its broader modernization drive.Its unified and wellfunctioning fiscal system supported the stability of the nascent government,and helped stabilize the economy and restore public order after then.In the era of the planned economy,public finance in the country was put at the service of economic plans while striving to reach a fiscal equilibrium,which was of great significance at that time.Economic equilibrium,including fiscal,credit and material equilibrium,was perceived as a manifestation of macroeconomic stability.Problems encountered during the era of the planned economy led to the launch of a reform and opening-up program-a brilliant chapter in modern Chinese history.The Third Plenum of the 11th CPC Central Committee marks a brand-new era of reform and opening-up.In this transformative period,China’s fiscal system was initially decentralized to keep abreast of its“planned commodity economy.”After the goal of socialist market economic reform was announced in 1992,China’s fiscal reforms embarked on a fast track.As China'strived to build a public finance system compatible with a socialist market economic system,fiscal reforms took place and fiscal policy played a more important role in macroeconomic regulation.The Third Plenum of the 18th CPC Central Committee held in November 2013 set the goal of the reform to establish a modern fiscal system.Afterwards,China deepened its fiscal reforms,focusing on budget management,taxation and reform of central-local fiscal relations. 展开更多

This historical study investigates the concept of learner autonomy in the national English language curricula for Chinese universities.It seeks to understand the meaning of learner autonomy in China and the intentionality of promoting this concept through the curricula from 1978 to 2007.By adopting Quentin Skinner’s intentionalist approach to analyzing the history of ideas,this study conducted a systematic document analysis of three national curricula in relation to their linguistic and practical contexts constituted of 169 Chinese academic articles in total.The study revealed that learner autonomy mainly referred to students’motivation and ability to work hard on their own outside the classroom in the Chinese context.Importing this concept,however,caused ideological confusion and exacerbated the disempowerment of teachers within the dynamics of China’s English language education at the tertiary level.The study raises awareness for borrowing concepts across different cultural contexts and has implications for research,policymaking,teacher development,and pedagogical practice in second language education in China. 展开更多

职业教育治理现代化的有效推进建立在对其属性全面而深刻的认识基础上。职业教育治理现代化是一个复合概念,涵括“职业教育”“治理”“现代化”三重子概念,分别对应治理对象、治理本体、治理样态三重内核,体现出三重属性,分别是“职普... 职业教育治理现代化的有效推进建立在对其属性全面而深刻的认识基础上。职业教育治理现代化是一个复合概念,涵括“职业教育”“治理”“现代化”三重子概念,分别对应治理对象、治理本体、治理样态三重内核,体现出三重属性,分别是“职普比较”下的差异融通贯通属性、“国家中心”下的多元主体协作属性以及“时空交错”下的动静质量迭代属性。然而,在推进职业教育治理现代化进程中,当前仍普遍存在三大典型问题:一是趋同普通教育、脱离人本中心、纵向衔接薄弱的职教属性悬浮问题,二是转型目的不清、主体权责不定、合作体系不全的治理范式模糊问题,三是制度“规训”主导、技术“座架”支配、主体“私益”满足的现代化定位偏误问题。未来职业教育治理现代化应以扎根“三重”职教属性为理性根据,以贯通“五业”(即行业、企业、职业、专业、学业)治理属性为逻辑理路,以追寻“中国式”现代化属性为精神旨归,从理性、逻辑、精神的综合视域出发,重新厘定职业教育治理现代化的逻辑路向与战略定位,以实现职业教育治理现代化立足“职教”、回归“本业”、走向“善治”的终极目标。 展开更多

中国特色高等教育话语体系本质上是一种坚持民族理想、推动国家治理、促进知识发展、开展对外交流的关系性实践。百年来,中国高等教育发展历经萌芽期、探索期、发展期和成长期,形成了以“救国”“革命”“改革”“复兴”为代表的高等教... 中国特色高等教育话语体系本质上是一种坚持民族理想、推动国家治理、促进知识发展、开展对外交流的关系性实践。百年来,中国高等教育发展历经萌芽期、探索期、发展期和成长期,形成了以“救国”“革命”“改革”“复兴”为代表的高等教育话语体系。本土化是中国特色高等教育话语体系逐渐成形的关键线索,民族图像的大众化、国家权力的人民性、知识建构的自主性以及对外交流的平等性则在话语主体、话语权力、话语知识、话语秩序四个方面构成其核心要义。中国特色高等教育话语体系通过提升话语主体的民族自信、夯实话语意识形态的思想根基、提升高等教育的治理效能、激发话语知识的内生动力、重塑话语秩序的国际格局以推动中国高等教育本土化转型,不断形成具有中国现代性的高等教育理论与实践体系,全面增强中国特色高等教育话语体系的理论概括力、实践生命力、现实感召力和国际影响力。 展开更多

作为全世界无产阶级领袖和导师的马克思、恩格斯极为关注社会发展及其动因。其对社会问题的阐释,由表及里、寻根究底,探寻与统治者歪曲并宣扬的全然不同的因果本质。马克思对小农属性的阐述,是认识底层大众的理论基石。普通小农把统治... 作为全世界无产阶级领袖和导师的马克思、恩格斯极为关注社会发展及其动因。其对社会问题的阐释,由表及里、寻根究底,探寻与统治者歪曲并宣扬的全然不同的因果本质。马克思对小农属性的阐述,是认识底层大众的理论基石。普通小农把统治者的“好事”作为自己的“好事”,把统治者的“坏事”作为自己的“坏事”;他们不但是统治者为了一己利益的牺牲品,而且是统治阶层虔诚的赞美者。马克思主义史学兴起后,这种研究方法非常适合解释中国近代社会形态及其发展动因,不但可以重新审视主导和影响中国近代社会的传统认知,对资本、市场、企业、商人、私欲、边沁乃至社会形态、人类共同的精神产品等条分缕析,犀燃烛照,给予更加客观公允的历史论断,肯定其在历史上的作用,而且使作为被统治阶级的最广大的民众更加明了自己的利益所在,弄清自己的利益与统治者利益的区别,不再与统治者同是非、共命运。 展开更多
