Prof. Hongzu Xie of Baotou Research Institute of Rare Earth has recently completed his research project on the preparation of high energy product NdFeB magnet and constructed a production line with the capacity of 10 metric tons of NdFeB magnet per annum in the institute. His process strictly controls the content of oxygen which is a key knowhow for raising the energy product of the magnet. Therefore, the so produced magnet has the oxygen content in the range of 800-1000 ppm. In addition, he employs a one way mold-pressing technique of which the pressure is vertical to the magnetic field and manufactures the NdFeB blocks展开更多
