When we talk about international issues,the meaning is pretty clear-issues concerning nations across-board.In this we wish to look at the issue of common good across nations.May be one could ask if there is any“Good...When we talk about international issues,the meaning is pretty clear-issues concerning nations across-board.In this we wish to look at the issue of common good across nations.May be one could ask if there is any“Good”that is internationally common.The answer may seem obvious but a deeper look reveals something different,hence this article.In the same vein,the adage that“what is good for the goose is also good for the gander”sounds too theoretical to be real.In practical terms,experience shows that most people never enjoy what others lavishly expend.Some people wish themselves the pleasure of seeing the four walls of a school even late in their age,while some people graduate at an unimaginable young age.In this article:Common good across borders…;we argue that the good prevalent in the developed nations should be made available to the developing nations as well.This does not mean a conformism,but a uniformity in diversity.The salvation of the human person for St.Athanasius does not concern only the soul but the whole of the human person,i.e.,body and soul;this includes all human beings of any nationality.Analogically,the good of the human person embraces not just particular people,a chosen group,a hybrid but the entire humanity.One is able to strive forward in the face of difficulties if one sees oneself as part of a global community.Concretely,it entails leaders seek the good not just of the members of their particular nations,but also of members of other nations.The leaders of nations that do not adequately care for the global good of others would be very deficient,ineffective,and characterised as incompetent.In the same vein any individual,who clings to his or her particular nation or autonomy or seeks only one’s well-being without adequate reference to the global community or the macro group is surely on the false direction.Such a person is selfish and may sooner or later discover that without the macro-community,one’s reference point though the micro community would eventually not succeed adequately and may not fundamentally reach the self-fulfilment one desires.展开更多
The current study discusses the social and psychological studies conducted on the concept of the social responsibility, as well as the symbolic interactive trend as a theoretical basis for interpretation; moreover, di...The current study discusses the social and psychological studies conducted on the concept of the social responsibility, as well as the symbolic interactive trend as a theoretical basis for interpretation; moreover, discussing the social responsibility in the light of family variables. The aim of this study is to investigate the family variables, including domicile, parents' education, their age, the type of work they do, family size, and family income. As to the social responsibility's dimensions for sample selected for this study; hence, it includes personal, ethical, national, environmental, health, and social responsibility. The current study adopted the descriptive approach along with a demographic data form and the social responsibility's scale. The sample selected consisted of 330 female students from various colleges within King Abdulaziz University. The results indicated that there was an impact on all the variables, thus such impact was in favor of those living in rural areas as to the ethical dimension and in favor of urban people as to the dimensions of accountability, parents' level of education, parents' seniority, working mothers, greater family size, and higher income.展开更多

Rarely,scientific developments centered around the patient as a whole arepublished.Our multidisciplinary group,headed by gastrointestinal surgeons,applied this research philosophy considering the most important aspect...Rarely,scientific developments centered around the patient as a whole arepublished.Our multidisciplinary group,headed by gastrointestinal surgeons,applied this research philosophy considering the most important aspects of thediseases“colon-and rectal cancer”in the long-term developments.Good expertcooperation/knowledge at the Comprehensive Cancer Center Ulm(CCCU)wereapplied in several phase III trials for multimodal treatments of primary tumors(MMT)and metastatic diseases(involving nearly 2000 patients and 64 centers),fortreatment individualization of MMT and of metastatic disease,for psychooncology/quality of life involving the patients’wishes,and for disease prevention.Most of the targets initially were heavily rejected/discussed in thescientific communities,but now have become standards in treatments andnational guidelines or are topics in modern translational research protocolsinvolving molecular biology for e.g.,“patient centered individualized treatment”.In this context we also describe the paths we had to tread in order to realize ournew goals,which at the end were highly beneficial for the patients from manypoints of view.This description is also important for students and youngresearchers who,with an actual view on our recent developments,might want toknow how medical progress was achieved.展开更多
