It will certainly do harm to the development of academic research if any of the two methods is given unreasonable priority. The author claims that the best or one of the best methodologies of the historical study of Chinese language is the combination of the two, hence a new interpretation of “The Double-proof Method”. Meanwhile, this essay is also an attempt to put forward “The Law of Quan-ma and Gui-mei” in Chinese language studies, in which the author believes that it is not advisable to either treat Gui-mei as Quan-ma or vice versa in linguistic research. It is crucial for us to respect always the language facts first, which is considered the very soul of linguistics.展开更多

As the big data age comes with the data explosion in modem society, the International Chinese Language Teaching （ICLT） shows signs of sizable data accumulation, remarkable economic property, strong modeling requirements and notable cross-research trends, which thus make this method necessary as a new and independent research method in the researches on this area. Theory bases, applicative areas, available software and data resources, research program designs, as well as their advantages and disadvantages will be figured out in this paper. In the near future, it will bring about a revolution to the international Chinese language teaching.展开更多
Purpose:Chinese Educators,referred to as Jiaoyujia(教育家)in Chinese,are esteemed indivi-duals dedicated to education with extensive expertise in theory and practice.Despite their influ-ential pedagogical research,the...Purpose:Chinese Educators,referred to as Jiaoyujia(教育家)in Chinese,are esteemed indivi-duals dedicated to education with extensive expertise in theory and practice.Despite their influ-ential pedagogical research,they have received limited scholarly attention.This study aimed to fll the gap by focusing on jilin Li's(李吉林)contextualized teaching research informed by Chinese educational traditions.Design/Approach/Methods:A case study format was adopted,and data were thematically ana-lyzed using NVivo I2.In light of Kuan-Hsing Chen's"Asia as method"idea,the analysis drew par-ticular attention to the Asian resources employed in the pedagogical studies of interest.Findings:Focusing on how Educators utilize diverse educational traditions,this paper presents three functions of Chinese educational traditions applicable to Li's case.The chosen case study demonstrates that elements of Chinese educational traditions still actively inform Educators working in a modern Western-style education system.This paper analyzes how Li combined Chinese and foreign traditions and reveals an element of subjectivity with its own strengths and deficiencies.Originality Nalue:This study is the first to present and analyze the phenomenon of Chinese educational traditions informing pedagogical studies conducted by Chinese Educators,an influential group that scholars usually overlook in modern China.展开更多

Changes in contemporary philosophy urge us to reconsider philosophical research in today＇s China. University and college curriculum in China is increasing placing more emphasis on producing and developing graduates with comprehensive qualities in recent years.One of the main factors that affects the development of...University and college curriculum in China is increasing placing more emphasis on producing and developing graduates with comprehensive qualities in recent years.One of the main factors that affects the development of high quality college graduate is the students’active reading habit.However,recent statistics on Chinese college students have shown that the number of students who read habitually is not ideal nor encouraging.Campaigns launched to promote reading habits in the university have only minimal effects on the students.In this work,some of the problems faced in promoting reading habit among college students in China and the potential solution for solving these problems are discussed.It is hoped that the content in this article would provide some insights for college administrators to encourage reading habits among college students.展开更多
