How to Foster Students' Ability of Studying Independently——English Study for Example

Among students' abilities,the important one is the ability of studying independently.It is the teachers' indispensable task to foster students' ability of studying independently.This essay deals with the problem that how a teacher can foster the ability of student self-study,especially English study,from these perspectives:the nature,the characteristics,the conditions and the structure of the ability of independent study.The appropriate methods that the teacher should take in the process of fostering the ability are discussed in the last part of this essay.

STUDIES ON THE SYNTHESIS AND DNA-BINDING ABILITY OF ZINC FINGER MOTIF

Transcription factor SPI is a protcin present in mammalian cells that binds to GC box promoter clements of Gene and selectively activates mRNA synthesis. The gene contains functional recognition sites. It contains three continuous zinc finger motifs, which are believed being mctalloprotein structures that interact with DNA. We synthesized the second zine finger fragment of SP1 (SP1-ZF2) and its mutant (SP1-ZF2 / HT. E20→H. R23→T), we also synthesized the Cys-Cys loop (ZF6) and the His-His loop (ZF5) of SPI and linked the twoloops together using a β-turn structure to obtain a finger mimic analogue (ZF-15) by stepwise solid-phase technique. Atomic absorption studies show that SP 1-ZF2 and SP1-ZF2 / HT bind zinc cquimolarly, but ZF-15 docs not bind Zn anyway. The CD experiments demonstrate a significant change in secondary structure in the prescnce or absence of Zn to SP1-ZF2 and SP1-ZF2/ HT, but there is no change about ZF-15. Gcl-retardation clectrophoresis assays indicate that SP1-ZF2 binds to DNA sequence specifically in the presence of Zn, but SP1-ZF2 / HT docs not bind as SP 1-ZF2 did. We observed that a single zine finger like SP1-ZF2 is able to bind DNA sequence specifically.

Validation of the Ability of Full Configuration Interaction Quantum Monte Carlo for Studying the 2D Hubbard Model

To validate the ability of full configuration interaction quantum Monte Carlo （FCIQMC） for studying the 2D Hubbard model near half-filling regime, the ground state energies of a 4×44×4 square lattice system with various interaction strengths are calculated. It is found that the calculated results are in good agreement with those obtained by exact diagonalization （i.e., the exact values for a given basis set） when the population of psi particles （psips） is higher than the critical population required to correctly sample the ground state wave function. In addition, the variations of the average computational time per 20 Monte Carlo cycles with the coupling strength and the number of processors are also analyzed. The calculated results show that the computational efficiency of an FCIQMC calculation is mainly affected by the total population of psips and the communication between processors. These results can provide useful references for understanding the FCIQMC algorithm, studying the ground state properties of the 2D Hubbard model for the larger system size by the FCIQMC method and using a computational budget as effectively as possible.

Chiral asymmetry of anti-symmetric coordinates studied by the Raman differential bond polarizability of S-phenylethylamine

The Raman optical activity （ROA） study on S-phenylethylamine is presented by the intensity analyses via bond polarizability and differential bond polarizability. Ample information concerning the physical picture of this chiral system is obtained, and its ROA mechanism is constructed. Especially, we propose that the asymmetric modes and/or the off-diagonal elements of the electronic polarizability tensor are the potential keys to the exploration of ROA.

Technology Usage among Elderly with Self-Reported Hearing Disability: Results from InveCe.Ab

Background: Awareness of hearing disability in the elderly has adverse cognitive and functional consequences over time, in a longitudinal population-based study. Aim: To analyze the hypothesis that over time old people aware of hearing disability make less use of technology and lose more instrumental activities of daily living than peers with other self-reported hearing conditions. Methods: We analyzed 1171 healthy participants in the longitudinal population-based InveCe.Ab study. The consistency between self-reported hearing loss with clinician-evaluated hearing status (Whispered Voice Test;WVT), was categorized by consistency as: unaware of hearing loss (UHL), aware of hearing loss (AHL), only subjective hearing loss (OSHL), without hearing loss (noHL). Results: At baseline (2010), hearing loss was found in 159 [13.6% (95% CI: 11.7 - 15.7)] of the participants [28 = 17.6% (95% CI: 12.0 - 24.4) AHL;131 = 82.4% (95% CI: 75.6 - 88) UHL], while 23 [2.3% (95% CI: 1.4 - 3.4)] of the subjects with normal WVT had OSHL. Mobile phone usage was significantly associated with different consistency categories (p i.e. executive, memory and visuo-spatial) were independently associated with maintaining mobile phone usage and instrumental activities of daily living. Conclusion: Self-reported hearing disability is linked to subsequent loss of mobile phone usage and functional dependency. As cognitive performances independently influence technology usage and functional impairment, targeted preventive interventions should address functional impact of perceived hearing loss, but also encourage social participation and improve mobile phone usage. The thesis underscores the significant role of human capital in elevating rural self-development ability.The investment of human capital is making great contribution to western rural economic growth,and it plays an irreplaceable role in promoting the socio-economic development prominently.The characteristics of human resources development in western rural areas for the moment are analyzed as follows:the employment structure is simple;the structure of human resources is irrational;the shortage of human resources aggregate is accompanied by the critical phenomenon of idling;the human resources drain badly;there is low input and low output of talents.The thesis also propounds the fundamental approaches in order to elevating self-development ability of western rural areas:we should practise and implement National Medium and Long-term Planning of Talents Development and lay down as soon as possible the detailed matching policies and measures based on the reality of western rural areas;we should develop the education in western rural areas vigorously,and formulate the developmental strategies of bridging "knowledge gap";we should establish sound rural human resources development system,and reinforce the degree of training returning-home migrant workers;we should adjust the structure of human investment timely as needed,and strengthen the degree of human capital investment conspicuously.

Impact of self-directed learning readiness and learning attitude on problem-solving ability among Chinese undergraduate nursing students

Objective: To explore the effects of self-directed learning readiness and learning attitude on problem-solving ability among Chinese undergraduate nursing students. Methods: A convenience sampling of 460 undergraduate nursing students was surveyed in Tianjin, China. Students who participated in the study completed a questionnaire that included social demographic questionnaire, Self-directed Learning Readiness Scale, Attitude to Learning Scale, and Social Problem-Solving Inventory. Pearson’s correlation analysis was performed to test the correlations among problem-solving ability, self-directed learning readiness, and learning attitude. Hierarchical linear regression analyses were performed to explore the mediating role of learning attitude. Results: The results showed that learning attitude (r=0.338, P<0.01) and self-directed learning readiness (r=0.493, P<0.01) were positively correlated with problem-solving ability. Learning attitude played a partial intermediary role between self-directed learning readiness and problem-solving ability (F=74.227, P<0.01). Conclusions: It is concluded that nursing educators should pay attention on students’ individual differences and take proper actions to inspire students’ self-directed learning readiness and learning attitude.

To Evaluate of the Self-dependent Innovation Ability of Equipment Manufacturing Enterprises in Shaanxi Province

For an enterprise, what is important is to have the self-dependent innovation ability so that it can en- hance the core competence unceasingly and acquire sustainable competitive advantages. In this paper, the indi- cator system of the self-dependent innovation ability of equipment manufacturing enterprises in Shaanxi province is constructed, in which includes 4 one-level indicators and 13 two-level indicators; and conducts empirical re- search by applying the multi-level fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method.

A Numerical Study on Ship Self propulsion Factor

The scale effect on self propulsion factor is studied numerically in this paper.Model scale and full scale ship computation are conducted as test case.The flow field around ship hull is simulated by solving 3 D RANS equation and two equation turbulence model.The propeller is modeled by force disc and its loading coefficient is investigated by lifting surface method.The comparison between model test and prediction is made.

住院医师规范化培训Self-study模式的实践与探索

参考美国毕业后医学教育认证委员会(ACGME)住院医师6大核心能力和加拿大皇家内外科学院(The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada)Can MEDS住院医师能力框架的住院医师规范化培训评价指标所设立的住院医师规范化培训Self-study方法,以各联盟医院的住院医师规范化培训管理机构及内科、外科、全科、麻醉科、医学影像科住院医师规范化培训专业基地为评估对象。评估内容:涉及管理机构标准及专业基地项目标准的各评估指标共计140项。对140个评估项目开展现况调研、缺陷查找、设定目标、持续改进的自我评估流程,旨在探讨Self-study模式在住院医师规范化培训中的实践与效果。评估结果显示:在140项评估指标中,完全达标的为132项,部分达标需要完善的有5项,未达标需要计划启动的有3项,总体达标率为94.3%。通过本次Self-study的自我评估发现:中国的住院医师规范化培训急需建立一整套既与国际接轨又符合我国国情的住院医师规范化培训质量控制与综合评估体系。

Wheat breeding model for steady and high yield and early maturation in middle and south Hebei province —Analysis of steady and high yield ability of wheat variety Ji 84-5418

A wheat breeding model for high yield in the middle and south of Hebei Province was developed. Wheat variety Ji 84-5418 has been bred on this model. The analysis results of high-yield and stability indicated that Ji 84-5418 was not only an aggregate of varied excellent characters,but a recombined biotype which could early differentiate spike and develop coordi-nately,and had better self-regulation ability and potential high productivity. Its yield is stable at 6000-8250 kg/ha.

Research on the Abilities of Community Education Study Tour Instructors

Community education study tour instructors are important action elements of community education tours.It is necessary to sort out the abilities of community education study tour instructors as well as construct a scientific and reasonable professional ability index system for community education study tour instructors,so as to promote the high-quality development of community education as well as the modernization of lifelong education governance system and governance ability.Based on the practice of community education in Jiangsu and the basic theory of pedagogy,this paper puts forward five core vocational abilities of community education,including travel education and teaching ability,curriculum development ability,management and research ability,training and guidance ability,as well as study tour guarantee ability.This paper attempts to sort out the ability of community education study tour instructors through research and analysis.A three-dimensional and multi-dimensional framework of community education instructors’ability has been constructed to provide a path for the professional development of community education study tour instructors.

Analysis on Factors Influencing Sustainable Development of Self-study Examination of Agricultural Science Disciplines

Based on existing problems in the course of development of self-study examination of agricultural science disciplines, this paper analyzes logical conditions for its sustainable development. Major logical conditions include requirement for free and comprehensive development of individuals; requirement for social institutional evolution and change; requirement for fairness and justice of education and development; as well as requirement for better-established organization system and higher social reputation. Finally, it presents basic measures for sustainable development of self-study examination of agricultural science disciplines, including carrying on reasonable core elements of self-study examination system, adjusting structure of discipline, improving social assistance system, and expanding service space.

Online Case Based Self-Study Modules as an Adjunct Learning Tool in Otorhinolaryngology: A Pilot Study

Background/Need for innovation: Undergraduate students in Otolaryngology are on the lookout for easy modes of learning which can help them understand concepts better as well as score more in examinations. A need was hence felt to introduce a new learning resource to supplement traditional teaching-learning methods. Methods: Digital, case based self–study modules were prepared using all open source technology and validated by experts in the specialty. The modules were uploaded on a website specifically created for the purpose. They were pilot tested on twenty consenting third year undergraduate (MBBS) students using a crossover design. Post test comprising of multiple choice questions was administered to the students after a period of two weeks. Feedback was obtained from faculty and students. Results: Test scores were found to be significantly higher amongst students who used the learning modules as a supplement to regular bedside teaching (p < 0.001;Wilcoxon signed rank test). Majority of students agreed that the modules helped them gain confidence during internal assessment examinations and would help revision. Conclusions: Online, case based, self-study modules helped students to perform better when used as a supplement to traditional teaching methods. Students agreed that it enabled easy understanding of subject and helped them gain confidence.

Factors Affecting the English Self-study of Senior High Students

巧用Self-talking和课堂设计提高英语口头表达能力

大学英语教学大纲阐明大学英语教学的重点是有效提高学生的实际交际能力。Self—talking对于学生自主学习能力的培养和英语交际能力的提高有着不可忽略的作用。外语学习归根结底是学生自身的学习,课堂是学生语言实践的重要场所。课堂教学不仅要扩大学生的语言知识,加强和提高学生的语言运用能力,还要帮助学生养成良好的自主学习习惯,尤其是Self-talking的自我对话意识和英语表达能力的训练,是对课堂英语口语训练的有益补充。

Habilitation护理模式对智能减退患者认知功能、自理能力及生活质量的影响

目的:探讨Habilitation护理模式对智能减退患者认知功能、自理能力及生活质量的影响。方法:前瞻性选取2021年1月1日~2023年1月31日收治的智能减退患者120例作为研究对象,采用随机数字表法分为研究组和对照组各60例,对照组给予常规护理,研究组给予Habilitation护理模式;比较两组护理满意度,干预前后认知功能[采用简易智能量表(MMSE)]、体衰能力[采用总体衰退量表(GDS)]、日常生活能力[采用日常生活能力量表(ADL)]、生活质量[采用生活质量量表(QOL)],同时记录两组在护理过程中不良安全行为发生情况。结果:研究组护理满意度高于对照组(P<0.01);干预后,两组MMSE、QOL、ADL及GDS评分均优于干预前(P<0.01),且研究组优于对照组(P<0.01);研究组不良安全行为发生率低于对照组(P<0.01)。结论:应用Habilitation护理模式护理可改善智能减退患者的认知功能,提高其自理能力与生活质量,同时降低不良安全行为发生率,安全性较高,值得临床推广。

Application of narrative nursing in the families of children with biliary atresia:A retrospective study

BACKGROUND Narrative nursing is an important clinical nursing intervention model.It is the practice of patient storytelling to share the essence of nursing.The current clinical intervention for biliary atresia(BA)mainly focuses on disease treatment and does not pay enough attention to the psychological state of family members.AIM To explore the application value of narrative nursing in the families of children with BA.METHODS Sixty-four family members of children with BA in our hospital from December 2017 to October 2020 were retrospectively included and were divided into a study group(n=32)and a control group(n=32).The control group was provided with routine nursing,while the study group was given narrative nursing on the basis of the control group.The scores of mood state(depression and anxiety),family members’nursing ability,perceived stress,and nursing job satisfaction of the children’s families were calculated before and after the intervention.RESULTS Before intervention,there was no significant difference in the self-rating anxiety scale and self-rating depression scale scores between groups(P>0.05).After intervention,the self-rating anxiety scale and self-rating depression scale scores in the study group were lower than those in the control group(both P=0.000).Before intervention,the study group adjusted life to meet care needs,evaluated family members and social resources,dealt with personal emotions,responded to needs,and provided assistance,and the adaptive care role scores were not significantly different from those in the control group(P=0.802,0.819,0.694,0.796,and 0.686,respectively).After intervention,all scores were significantly lower in the study group than in the control group(all P<0.0001).Before intervention,there was no significant difference in the child post-traumatic stress disorder symptom score(CPSS)score between groups(P=0.615).After intervention,the CPSS scores were significantly lower than those before intervention in both groups and lower in the study group than in the control group(P<0.0001).Nursing job satisfaction of the family members of the study group(93.75%)was higher than that of the control group(75.00%)(P=0.039).CONCLUSION Narrative nursing with family members of children with BA can effectively alleviate negative emotions,reduce perceptual pressure,and improve nursing ability.Additionally,family members are more satisfied with nursing work.
