Through factor analysis, the 41 variables were reduced to four factors with an eigenvalue > 1.0. These factors explain 77.07 percent of the total variables used in the study. Factor I contributes 28.419% of the total variance proportion of input variables, labeled as “family, housing, and public spaces factor”. Factor II accounts for 19.57% of the variance proportion, designated as” housing and urban public spaces”. Factor III is strongly correlated with variables referring to the characteristics of the head of the family, and the availability of public spaces, and thus, is designated as “head of the family and public spaces”. It explains 16.68% of the total variance. Finally, factor IV explains 12.406% of variance proportion, and is strongly associated with variables pertaining to a lack of public social spaces. Consequently, factor IV is termed “lack of public spaces”. The spatial distribution of factor scores related to factors I to IV was mapped using Arc GIS in order to analyze the spatial patterns of the recognized four factors. It is worth noting the factor IV, which refers to the lack of urban social space and, urban public space, which persists in the twin city, and will continue to persist in the future. The lack of urban open space and public social spaces is closely connected to migration, emerged housing pattern, and family status dimensions focused on factors I to III, continuous confiscation of the Palestinian lands, and the construction of Israeli settlements. Currently, the twin city is extremely overcrowded with stone/concrete buildings at the expense of public space which has declined continuously over the last three decades. Nevertheless, the analyzed spatial pattern of factor scores indicated the homogeneous character of the urban society of the twin city. Based on the urban eco-logical models which seek to characterize the Western, non-Western, Israeli, and Arab-oil producing (e.g., Kuwait) urban structures, it is difficult to elaborate a specific Palestinian urban ecological model with reference to the models developed elsewhere.展开更多

The paper focuses on how Charles Baudelaire presents his dandy's rebellion, based on aestheticism, on the city stage. Only the city produces dandies and dandies cannot breathe without the city. On "stage", Baudelaire played different dandy roles, such as the flameur, the ragpicker, and man of letters. Walking the streets, the dandy is a member of the crowd but also isolated from it; his main duty is to observe the city and mass silently, and seek the flowers of evil.展开更多

文摘The service capacity of urban public open spaces is an important indicator of the justness and soundness of the allocation of public space resources, such as parks and green spaces,in the process of urban development.Improving the service capacity of urban public open spaces is conductive to healthy, sustainable urban development. In this study, taking Shengyang City,China as a case study,a Gaussian-based two-step floating catchment area method(2 SFCA)is used to calculate an accessibility index and identify residential areas with a poor accessibility to urban public open spaces. Then,a particle swarm algorithm(PSA)is used to optimize the locations of new open space developments. Finally, the optimization results are verified using the analytic network process(ANP).The results show that the service capacity of public open spaces in the center of Shenyang City(covering six districts)is relatively low and exhibits an uneven spatial distribution. In the service scope of the existing urban public open spaces, the accessibility for 48.6%of the residential estates is moderately poor or poor. The layout is optimized when the number of optimization points is set to 8.These points are mainly located in old town areas such as the Tiexi,Huanggu, and Dadong districts. The optimization increases the green space area accessible by motor vehicles(60 min),bicycles(60 min),and walking(30 min)by 4.67%,5.38%,and 8.03%of the study area, respectively. Finally, green space planning recommendations are offered from two perspectives:spatial layout and transport system optimization.
文摘Dandyism is a very important and significant social phenomenon in 19th century Europe, and also a means of aesthetic revolt in an urban environment. Walking the streets, the dandy is a member of the crowd but also isolated from it; his main duty is to observe the city and mass silently, and seek the flowers of evil.
文摘City resilience is a hot topic in the field of urban planning, and it is a solution and urban renewal and renovation approach for the problems of modern cities.Taking the old urban districts of Wu’an City,Hebei Province for example, this paper applied analysis methods such as space syntax and facility diversity to analyze the current problems of the study areas from the perspectives of road traffic, supporting facilities, proposed urban design renewal and renovation strategies for old urban districts, which would be significant for defining the timing sequence of urban renewal, improving the locals’ life quality and promoting resilience of old urban districts.
文摘Cultivated land is the most important strategic resource to ensure food security. The newly constructed quality classification system of cultivated land resources considers the cultivated land health index for the first time. How the new classification and grading index system and the quality classification results of cultivated land resources to effectively guide the preparation of municipal land space planning has become a key research direction. This paper expounds the overall design idea for quality classification of cultivated land resources and classification index system.Taking Chongzuo City as an example, through the analysis of the quality classification results of cultivated land resources in the study area, using GIS spatial analysis and factor pairwise comparison method, this paper explores the application ideas and methods of quality classification research results of cultivated land resources in the formulation of cultivated land retention target, the delineation of dominant areas of cultivated land protection, the delineation of three control lines, the comprehensive improvement of land, and ecological restoration zoning in the municipal land space planning.
文摘Holiday Tourism Circle of Beijing (HTCB) is one of the nine key regions of Chinese tourism industry in the period of the 11th Five-Year Project. According to Tourist Marginal Utility Theory, Time-Distance Method is used to define HTCB in this paper. Chengde City, famous for its cultural tourism, is regard as one of the regions in Holiday Tourism Circle of Beijing. And this geographical advantage, in the context of the boom of tourism in China, is featured by the changes of tourist product structure and development model. In this paper, the influence upon Chengde tourism spatial structure has been discussed from tourist market, location and transportation. Chengde tourism spatial structure has been rebuilt with particular references to the factors of tourism destination district, tourist area, nodes, routes, and origin markets. In this paper, Chengde will develop tourism industry with the central heritage area as the center and northern forest and pasture area and southern mountain and lake area as the two wings.
文摘In order to systematically study the diversity of plant communities in park green space,78 plant communities of 10 representative parks in Wuhan City were investigated. The total 449 species belonging to 275 genera and 112 families were found in this investigation. The communities were divided into 35 dominant-species,13 life-forms and 6 vegetation-forms.The community structures and the composition of dominant species were also studied. The results showed that the shortages of the low diversity, high proportion of exotic species and simple community structures appeared in plant community of park green space in Wuhan City.It is proposed that species, especially native ones, should be abundant to keep a high level species diversity. At the same time, more simulated native communities should be utilized to build the natural,multi-layers,bright local vegetation characteristics landscape of urban parks.
文摘With the urban green space system planning of small cities in mountainous areas as the study object, the planning practices are analyzed and studied to summarize the common characteristics of urban green space system planning in those small cities.Being combined with relevant national standards and regulations, the problems that those small cities are faced with in their urban green space system planning are analyzed, then corresponding countermeasures and suggestions are put forward to resolve problems in the practical planning.
