The paper is written against the backdrop of the South African educational system that is at the crossroads regarding its adoption of a participatory form of education （i.e., an educational system that is rooted on egalitarian ideals） or a system of education that is more elitist and has little, if any, to do with the uplifting of the historically marginalized. Since the paper is based on a conceptual analysis of theories of non-formal and/or adult education, the praxis of the argument is informed by philosophers who have written extensively on the subject. Solid and educational policies are also compared in order to formulate conclusions and strategies based on the analysis of educational trends that encourage democratic ideals.展开更多

The proposal of the strategy to ＂Give priority to the development of education and construct the power with human resources＂ and the strategy of the ＂balanced development of education＂ is the political motivation. The people＇s demand for the high-quality higher educational resources is the cultural driving force, and the enhancement of the international competitiveness of China is internationalized motivation. The provincial economic strength is growing, and the ability of the government＇s financial input in the higher education is gradually increased, which laid a solid economic foundation for it. The higher education in various provinces is developing from the elite education to the mass stage and to the popularization stage, which is the scale basis. The two-level management of the central and the local governments, the division of labor with individual responsibilities, and the formation of the administrative systems of the higher education dominated by the overall planning of the provincial government under the guidance of the national policies are the institutional bases.展开更多
The forthcoming European Higher Education Area has implied an important change in the teaching/learning process:it is necessary to get students more involved as well as to promote their independence and active partici...The forthcoming European Higher Education Area has implied an important change in the teaching/learning process:it is necessary to get students more involved as well as to promote their independence and active participation.Furthermore,Information and Communication Technology is progressively including greater spaces in human beings’life,as economics,arts,engineering and education,among others fields.Therefore,a web tool,based on a content management system,has been developed to teach the Power Electronics subject.Moreover,the use of these multimedia tools makes it possible to encourage students’independence.This developed educational software is necessary as an important resource in the students’teaching/learning process.Therefore,the importance of evaluation models increases in as much as the application of these instruments allows its effective evaluation.It offers a greater guarantee of its use in these environments from the students’point of view.An evaluation process,by means of several surveys for students and lecturers,is used in order to evaluate the quality of these multimedia interactive tools.The results demonstrate that the use of this web tool increases students’motivation significantly.展开更多

Statistically significant is the fact that aviation has a positive correlation with the economic growth of nations.Developing countries in particular,and most economies of the world,in general,have widely observed tha...Statistically significant is the fact that aviation has a positive correlation with the economic growth of nations.Developing countries in particular,and most economies of the world,in general,have widely observed that aviation is not only a catalyst for economic growth,it is also a business enabler and a global market share enhancer for many businesses across the globe.Notwithstanding this logically understandable and intuitive statement,it is interesting to note that the relationship and dependencies of education,culture,economy,and aviation policy of developing countries to capitalize this potent element for politico-socio-economic growth of nations is more often than not,ignored or underestimated.This paper studies and attempts to identify patterns in the correlation of factors related to Human Resource Development that boosts the growth of the aviation industry;specifically analyzing and comparing countries like Singapore,UAE,Qatar,Turkey and few others with lesser-developed,but growing economies like Pakistan.Derived from analytical study and inferences,the paper suggests and recommends a proven track for growth,prosperity,and socio-economic stability.The focus of the study is on the effect of education,training,and grooming of Human Resource specifically engaged in the fast-growing global aviation industry.展开更多
