Listening is not only a vital approach to acquire language, but also an important way to communicate with others in our daily life. The Task-based Approach(TBA) focuses on the specific task, which is the learning motivation. The process of finishing the task is the process of learning. The teaching result is judged by the task performed or not. This research discusses the application of TBA in English Listening Teaching at Middle Schools in order to improve the students listening ability. In the first part, the author introduces the background and significance of the research. In the second part, it states the definition of listening comprehension, the characteristics of listening process, three models of listening processing. In the third part, it introduces the definition of Task, characteristics of task, and the principles of designing a task. Finally, it introduces the Task-based Approach. In the fourth part, discusses the current situation of English teaching at middle school,and the elaboration on the task-based model of English listening teaching. All in all, the research is to make the audience to understand the application of Task-based Approach in English listening teaching at middle schools so as to improve the students' English listening ability. 展开更多

A specific application of task-based learning in teaching vocabulary to young learners and a complete task cycle using role play to present vocabulary in China's private language school would be described in the study. The participants aged between 7 and 9 are thought to be starters according to their language competence in Common European Framework of Reference for language. The rationale for stages in the task cycle will be fully explored with reference to Piaget and Vygotsky's theory in teaching young learners. The advantages of the adoption of TBL with young learners will be illustrated and some possible problems in implementing TBL in China, a representative country of Confucian-heritage culture would also be discussed in the paper. The study indicates that young learners in China are quite welcome this new approach in their English classes, but the targeted learners' age and background information need to be taken into consideration when actually implement this approach. 展开更多

The purpose of this study was t... The 300-yard shuttle run is a field test commonly used to assess anaerobic capacity. There is limited documentation regarding the reliability of the shuttle run for various populations. The purpose of this study was to assess the reliability of the 300-yard shuttle run in High School girls basketball players. Thirty nine High School girls basketball players performed two separate sessions of the 300-yard shuttle run. During each session, the participants completed two trials of the 300-yard shuttle run separated by a 5-minute rest period. The trial 1 and 2 scores were 66.2 - 4.9 and 69.1 - 6.0 seconds, respectively. The interclass and intraclass reliability coefficients were r = 0.84 and ICC = 0.83. The standard error of the measure was SEm = 2.2 seconds with 90% confidence limits Of UL: 2.6, LL: 1.9. The typical error expressed as a coefficient of variation percent was CV% = 3.2 with 90% confidence limits Of UL: 3.7, LL: 2.8. Within the parameters of this study, the 300-yard shuttle run is a sufficiently reliable field test for measuring anaerobic capacity. 展开更多

中外合作办学本科人才培养质量评价是保障我国高校中外合作办学高质量发展的重要工作。文章提出一种产出导向型博弈DEA方法,对我国25家代表性中外合作办学机构2018-2021年的本科人才培养效率开展评价,并将合肥工业大学国际经济与贸易(... 中外合作办学本科人才培养质量评价是保障我国高校中外合作办学高质量发展的重要工作。文章提出一种产出导向型博弈DEA方法,对我国25家代表性中外合作办学机构2018-2021年的本科人才培养效率开展评价,并将合肥工业大学国际经济与贸易(中外合作办学)项目的本科人才培养效率与25家代表性中外合作办学机构进行比较。研究发现:(1)我国中外合作办学机构人才培养效率整体表现良莠不齐;(2)现阶段我国高校中外合作办学的本科人才培养效率还存在较大的改进潜力;(3)在样本观察期内,具有独立法人资格的中外合作办学机构人才培养效率整体呈上升趋势,而不具有独立法人资格的机构表现基本保持平稳;(4)建立时间较早的中外合作办学机构总体人才培养效率相对更高,并且效率值分布更加集中;(5)“985”院校的中外合作办学机构本科人才培养效率均值最高,而“211”院校的中外合作办学机构本科人才培养效率分布最为集中;(6)与众多中外合作办学机构相比,合肥工业大学国际经济与贸易(中外合作办学)项目的本科人才培养效率表现位于第一梯队。 展开更多
