An empirical study is carried out to compare the teachers’ knowledge level of 91 normal students under three different educational probation modes: tutorial system, non-tutorial system, and routine system. Quantitative analysis shows that except English knowledge, the tutorial system is more conducive to promoting normal students’ mastery of educational theory knowledge, general curriculum knowledge, English curriculum knowledge, English teaching knowledge, and students’ knowledge, and the development of these kinds of knowledge is relatively balanced. This study is helpful for teacher educators to provide guidance and help for pre-service English teachers to maximize the benefits of educational probation.展开更多

This need is equally important for students as well as for young professionals. Access and training to all scientific information is necessary to ensure success in their future careers. Today, e-learning has become a common medium for the management and distribution of on-line educational content. Learning Management Systems (LMSs) were not only developed to handle a large variety of multimedia content that provides an organized knowledge repository used to accelerate access to information and skill acquisition; but, LMSs can also keep detailed statistics on the use of the available material offering a powerful training and educational tool. In this document, the Petroleum Knowledge Tutorial System, an LMS platform offering a variety of online educational and training options to petroleum engineers and geologists, is presented. It was created using Moodle, open- source software that can be used to create on-line courses. The platform covers fundamental educational concepts in a structured way. It follows an optimized "workflow" that can be applied not only to solve a specific exercise but also any similar problem encountered over the course of one's career. The platform was designed to offer a repository of learning material in various forms and to favor user-platform interactions. It can be used for training and evaluation purposes through exercises and problem solving that the user can perform online by using browsing software along with internet access. Special tools were created and implemented on the platform to assist the user in completing a variety of tasks including performing exercises involving calculations with given data and plots of points or lines on graphs without leaving the learning environment. Furthermore, videos with detailed explanations follow each learning module and provide the full solution to every exercise. The LMS automatically keeps a large statistical database including the users' access to activities on the platform that can be exported and further processed to improve the platform functionality and evaluate the users' performance.展开更多

The aim of this research is to discover ways to improve simulation as a teaching/learning platform. Action research was used to answer the question, “How can I improve pedagogical practices with undergraduate nurses in simulation?” This study was implemented at a University in Auckland, New Zealand between November 2012 and March 2014. A purposive sample was sought from second and third-year nursing students (n = 161) enrolled in the three-year undergraduate bachelor of nursing program. Methods included focus groups, questionnaires, debriefing sessions, pre- and post-tests, and Lasater clinical judgment rubric analysis. Seven instructional scaffolds emerged which maximized student learning and retention. These scaffolds: 1) helped move students from known into unknown knowledge;2) provided situated coaching;3) modeled expected performance;4) gave opportunity for improvement;5) reduced confusion;6) taught effective communication;and 7) promoted new learning through debriefing. These strategies resulted in a simulation experience which improved clinical reasoning in undergraduate nursing students.展开更多

文摘Deepening the integration of industryand educationand school-enterprise cooperation are effective waysto cultivate high-quality applied talents.It has become an essentialdemand for social and economic development and an inevitable trend for applied undergraduatescolleges.In view of this,based on the development strategy of national and local integration of industry and education and the demand for talents in the human resources industry,this article takes human resource management as an example,combined with the current situation of industry and education integration of applied undergraduate human resource management,and explores its products from the perspective of one course and two teachers.It also proposes a guarantee mechanism for integratingindustryand education from the aspects of top-level guarantee,multiple evaluations,teaching co-management,and teacher incentives.It is hoped to establishan application-oriented undergraduate human resource management professional industryand education implementation systemand promote the deep integration of applied undergraduate industry and education.
文摘Since China has joined the WTO and the speed of globalization in our country.The professionals with both up to date technological knowledge and good English are needed urgently.It has been shown that bilingual teaching in IT fields is effect ways of cultivating IT professionals.In this paper,the necessity of bilingual teaching in IT fields is discussed and some of the methods in our practices are also introduced.The satisfactory results of the bilingual teaching in computer courses at our school have been obtained.
文摘Rural tourism,as an important component of tourism and leisure,has witnessed a rapid growth in recent years and gradually become an outstanding point in tourism industry.Questionnaire survey was carried out among undergraduates in the Nanjing Agricultural University by applying multi-stage random sampling,on the basis of which undergraduates' perception of travelling,tourism inclination,motivation and ways of travelling were analyzed.Characteristics of undergraduate tourism market were summarized,and corresponding suggestions were given to broaden the rural tourism market of undergraduates.
文摘Anxiety is a complicated psychological phenomenon in foreign language learning process, involving both cognitive and affective factors, especially for those with cross culture background. This essay focuses on the anxiety of Mongolian undergraduates in public English class, analyses the contributory factors and puts forward effective strategies on how to overcome their anxiety to achieve the goal that college public English teaching will be elevated at large.
文摘Recent trends in simulation use have necessitated a more considered approach in the use of this teaching/learning tool. The aim of this research is to discover ways to improve simulation as a teaching/learning platform. Action research was used to answer the question, “How can I improve pedagogical practices with undergraduate nurses in simulation?” This study was implemented at a University in Auckland, New Zealand between November 2012 and March 2014. A purposive sample was sought from second and third-year nursing students (n = 161) enrolled in the three-year undergraduate bachelor of nursing program. Methods included focus groups, questionnaires, debriefing sessions, pre- and post-tests, and Lasater clinical judgment rubric analysis. Seven instructional scaffolds emerged which maximized student learning and retention. These scaffolds: 1) helped move students from known into unknown knowledge;2) provided situated coaching;3) modeled expected performance;4) gave opportunity for improvement;5) reduced confusion;6) taught effective communication;and 7) promoted new learning through debriefing. These strategies resulted in a simulation experience which improved clinical reasoning in undergraduate nursing students.
