Unified Equation of Fundamental Forces’ Coupling Values, and the Existence of Subsequent, Fifth and Other, Forces

This paper provides an equation to entangle all known fundamental forces by employing their coupling constants, i.e., strong (αs), electromagnetic (α), weak (αw), and gravitational (αg) interaction coupling values. The constant coupling formulation is further indicative of many other fundamental forces with significantly weaker coupling values. As an example, the fifth fundamental force, Kashi’s Force, is found to have a coupling constant of 10-1446, which is significantly smaller than the smallest known fundamental force, gravitational force, with an approximate coupling constant value of 10-38. Additionally, the paper finds the sum of all fundamental forces based on the equation proposed is equal to 0.118065, which is within the range of effective world value of the strong coupling constant αs(M2z).

Analysis and Research on the Functional Value and Development Opportunities of Hainan National Breeding and Multiplication

To further specify significance and development orientation of Hainan National Breeding and Multiplication ( hereinafter referred to as HNBM) ,such concepts as value engineering,industrial cluster and regional economy were introduced by analyzing its properties and interpreting relevant policies,its functions,value and development opportunities were analyzed from multiple perspectives. According to the comprehensive analysis,HNBM concerns national core political and economic benefits in strategic and fundamental sense,which is a result of powerful comprehensive functions of HNBM and need of modern agricultural development. In addition,HNBM has a bottleneck in the development of industrial cluster. Only co-promoted by the province and the ministry,and by applying top-level design,breaking the conditionality,integrating and optimizing existing resources,HNBM will be constructed into a high-new seed industry center.

SOME PROBLEMS WITH THE METHOD OF FUNDAMENTAL SOLUTION USING RADIAL BASIS FUNCTIONS

The present work describes the application of the method of fundamental solutions （MFS） along with the analog equation method （AEM） and radial basis function （RBF） approximation for solving the 2D isotropic and anisotropic Helmholtz problems with different wave numbers. The AEM is used to convert the original governing equation into the classical Poisson＇s equation, and the MFS and RBF approximations are used to derive the homogeneous and particular solutions, respectively. Finally, the satisfaction of the solution consisting of the homogeneous and particular parts to the related governing equation and boundary conditions can produce a system of linear equations, which can be solved with the singular value decomposition （SVD） technique. In the computation, such crucial factors related to the MFS-RBF as the location of the virtual boundary, the differential and integrating strategies, and the variation of shape parameters in multi-quadric （MQ） are fully analyzed to provide useful reference.

On the Differentiability of Vector Valued Additive Set Functions

The Lebesgue-Nikodym Theorem states that for a Lebesgue measure an additive set function ?which is -absolutely continuous is the integral of a Lebegsue integrable a measurable function;that is, for all measurable sets.?Such a property is not shared by vector valued set functions. We introduce a suitable definition of the integral that will extend the above property to the vector valued case in its full generality. We also discuss a further extension of the Fundamental Theorem of Calculus for additive set functions with values in an infinite dimensional normed space.

The Socialist Rule of Law with Chinese Characteristics and Human Rights Protection

Law is the fundamental method of governance and the rule of law symbolizes modern civilization. The socialist rule of law is the rule of law rooted in the Chinese tradition, and designed and led by the Communist Party of China(CPC). It is not only a tool for government, but also a driver of social progress. Meanwhile, the Chinese human rights system is also designed by the CPC. Both concepts—the socialist rule of law and the human rights system——are different from the West in terms of theory, path and systems. Human rights are the fundamental values of and the ultimate goal pursued by the rule of law; and the rule of law is the recognition of and guarantee for human rights. Efforts must be made to advance legislative, administrative and judicial protection of human rights.

Audit Opinion: Model Value of the Firm State-Owned Business Enterprises Indonesia

This study aimed to assess and analyzed the influence of micro and macro fundamental, ownership structure, financial performance, and auditor’s opinion on the value of the company in State Owned Enterprises considering that 51% of shareholding is fully owned and controlled by the government so management has some rights in decision making. The interest of researchers in observing State Owned Enterprises on interest ownership interest in investors and potential investors compared to private companies that fluctuate in accordance with state economic conditions and government decisions that provide sentiment for stocks. Research population at 20 State Owned Enterprises listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange. This research method used purposive sampling with 12 companies in 2010-2015. Data analysis techniques in this study used Partial Least Square consists of Inner model, Outers model, and Weight relation. The result of analysis of hypothesis test of research showing all test accepted with significant level 5% influence equal to 1.960 except macro fund influence 0.0031421 and not significant equal to 1.914374 so rejected (H5) and macro fundamentals have effect 0.040271 and not significant equal 1.674420 thus rejected (H7).

Significance of incidental focal fluorine-18 fluorodeoxyglucose uptake in colon/rectum,thyroid,and prostate:With a brief literature review

BACKGROUND Fluorine-18 fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography/computed tomography(F-18 FDG PET/CT),a functional imaging method,is usually performed on the entire torso,and regions of unexpected suspicious focal hypermetabolism are not infrequently observed.Among the regions,colon,thyroid,and prostate were found to be the common organs in a recent umbrella review.Some studies reported that a high rate of malignancy was shown in incidentally identified focal hypermetabolic regions and suggested that further examinations should not be ignored.AIM To investigate the malignancy rate of incidental focal FDG uptake,useful PET parameters and their cutoffs in discrimination between malignant and benign lesions.METHODS Retrospectively,the final reports of 16510 F-18 FDG PET/CT scans performed at our hospital between January 2016 and March 2022 were reviewed to identify incidentally observed FDG uptake in the colon/rectum,thyroid,and prostate.The scans of patients with current or prior malignancies at each corresponding location,without the final reports of histopathology or colonoscopy(for colon and rectum)for the corresponding hypermetabolic regions,or with diffuse(not focal)hypermetabolism were excluded.Finally,88 regions of focal colorectal hypermetabolism in 85 patients(48 men and 37 women with mean age 67.0±13.4 years and 63.4±15.8 years,respectively),48 focal thyroid uptakes in 48 patients(12 men and 36 women with mean age 62.2±13.1 years and 60.8±12.4 years,respectively),and 39 focal prostate uptakes in 39 patients(mean age 71.8±7.5 years)were eligible for this study.For those unexpected focal hypermetabolic regions,rates of malignancy were calculated,PET parameters,such as standardized uptake value(SUV),capable of distinguishing between malignant and benign lesions were investigated,and the cutoffs of those PET parameters were determined by plotting receiver operating characteristic curves.RESULTS In the colon and rectum,29.5%(26/88)were malignant and 33.0%(29/88)were premalignant lesions.Both SUVmax and SUVpeak differentiated malignant/premalignant from benign lesions,however,no parameters could distinguish malignant from premalignant lesions.Higher area under the curve was shown with SUVmax(0.752,95%CI:0.649-0.856,P<0.001)and the cutoff was 7.6.In the thyroid,60.4%(29/48)were malignant.The majority were well-differentiated thyroid cancers(89.7%,26/29).The results of BRAF mutation tests were available for 20 of the 26 welldifferentiated thyroid cancers and all 20 had the mutation.Solely SUVmax differentiated malignant from benign lesions and the cutoff was 6.9.In the prostate,56.4%(22/39)were malignant.Only SUVmax differentiated malignant from benign lesions and the cutoff was 3.8.Overall,among the 175 focal hypermetabolic regions,60.6%(106/175)were proven to be malignant and premalignant(in colon and rectum)lesions.CONCLUSION Approximately 60%of the incidentally observed focal F-18 FDG uptake in the colon/rectum,thyroid,and prostate were found to be malignant.Of the several PET parameters,SUVmax was superior to others in distinguishing between malignant/premalignant and benign lesions.Based on these findings,incidental focal hypermetabolism should not be ignored and lead physicians to conduct further investigations with greater confidence.

Assessment of incidental focal colorectal uptake by analysis of fluorine-18 fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography parameters

BACKGROUND Colon and rectal cancers are among the top five cancers worldwide in terms of their incidence and mortality rates.As the treatment options for cure include surgery even in specific advanced-stage cases,the early detection of lesions is important for applying active treatment methods.Fluorine-18 fluorodeoxyglucose(F-18 FDG)positron emission tomography/computed tomography(PET/CT)is an established imaging study for many types of cancers;however,physiologic uptake in the gastrointestinal tract is a frequent finding and may interfere with lesion identification.Nevertheless,as unexpectedly observed focal colorectal F-18 FDG uptake may harbor malignant lesions,further examination must not be avoided.AIM To assess the clinical implications of unexpected focal colorectal F-18 FDG uptake by analyzing FDG PET parameters.METHODS A total of 15143 F-18 FDG PET/CT scans performed at our hospital between January 2016 and September 2021 were retrospectively reviewed to identify incidentally observed focal colorectal FDG uptake.Finally,83 regions showing focal colorectal FDG uptake with final histopathological reports from 80 patients(45 men and 35 women with mean ages of 66.9±10.7 years and 63.7±15.3 years,respectively)were eligible for inclusion in the present study.Each focal hypermetabolic colorectal region was classified as malignant,premalignant,or benign according to the histopathological report.PET parameters such as maximum and peak standardized uptake value(SUVmax and SUVpeak),metabolic tumor volume(MTV),mean SUV of the metabolic tumor volume(mSUVmtv),and total lesion glycolysis(TLG)were measured or calculated for the corresponding hypermetabolic regions.Parametric and nonparametric statistical comparisons of these parameters were performed among the three groups.Receiver operating characteristic curves were plotted to identify cut-off values.RESULTS The detection rate of incidental focal colorectal uptake was 0.53%(80/15,143).Of the 83 regions with unexpected focal colorectal hypermetabolism,28.9%(24/83)were malignant,32.5%(27/83)were premalignant,and 38.6%(32/83)were benign.Overall,61.4% of the regions had malignant or premalignant lesions.SUVmax,SUVpeak,and mSUVmtv differentiated malignant and/or premalignant lesions from benign lesions with statistical significance(P<0.05).mSUVmtv3.5 differentiated malignant from benign lesions,with the largest area under the curve(AUC)of 0.792 and a cut-off of 4.9.SUVmax showed the largest AUC of 0.758 with a cut-off value of 7.5 for distinguishing between premalignant and benign lesions.Overall,SUVmax with a cut-off value of 7.6(AUC:0.770,95% confidence interval(CI):0.668-0.872;sensitivity,0.686;specificity,0.688)was a superior parameter for distinguishing between malignant/premalignant and benign lesions or physiologic uptake.No parameters differentiated malignant from premalignant lesions.Moderate or weak positive correlations were observed between the long diameter of the malignant lesions and PET parameters such as SUVpeak and some mSUVmtv.CONCLUSION Approximately two-thirds(61.4%)of incidental focal hypermetabolic colorectal regions were malignant/premalignant lesions,for which SUVmax was an independent diagnostic parameter.Unexpected suspicious focal colorectal FDG uptake should not be avoided and consideration for further evaluation is strongly recommended not to miss the two-thirds.

A Practical Algorithm for Determining the Optimal Pseudo-Boundary in the Method of Fundamental Solutions

One of the main difficulties in the application of the method of fundamental solutions(MFS)is the determination of the position of the pseudo-boundary on which are placed the singularities in terms of which the approximation is expressed.In this work,we propose a simple practical algorithm for determining an estimate of the pseudo-boundary which yields the most accurate MFS approximation when the method is applied to certain boundary value problems.Several numerical examples are provided.

Fundamental Solution for Welding Problem by Two Dissimilar Isotropic Semi－Planes

A fundamental solution was obtained for an infinite plane bonded by two dissimilar isotropic semi-planes by employing plane elastic complex variable method and theory of boundary value problems for analytic functions.Fundamental solution was prepared for solving these types of problems with boundary element method.

The Method of Fundamental Solutions for Solving Convection-Diffusion Equations with Variable Coefficients

A meshless method based on the method of fundamental solutions(MFS)is proposed to solve the time-dependent partial differential equations with variable coefficients.The proposed method combines the time discretization and the onestage MFS for spatial discretization.In contrast to the traditional two-stage process,the one-stage MFS approach is capable of solving a broad spectrum of partial differential equations.The numerical implementation is simple since both closed-form approximate particular solution and fundamental solution are easy to find than the traditional approach.The numerical results show that the one-stage approach is robust and stable.
