The present paper deals exclusively with the physical features of the deposits laid by a complex tectono-magmatic process by making detailed inventory of the different kind of volcanic ejecta exposed in the Bomay Volcanic Complex (BVC), and an attempt has been made to classify the deposits genetically. A subsidenace which was hinted at earlier, may be a possible cauldron in BVC has been proposed, which might be responsible for producing such a varied and complex lithology.展开更多

A suite of features it possesses, including the camellate internal structure of its presacral elements, the existence of pneumatocoels on the proximal ends of the dorsal ribs, and especially the medially deflected proximal portion of the femur, definitively establish the titanosauriform affinities of the specimen. It differs from other titanosauriforms in having a craniocaudally elongate coracoid with a squared cranioventral extreme and a long, smooth, and slightly convex acetabular edge of the pubis. It represents a new taxon, Dongbeititan dongi gen. et sp. nov. Comparative studies suggest that Dongbeititan is a basal titanosauriform, more derived than Euhelopus, Fusuisaurus, and Huanghetitan, but less derived than Gobititan and Jiutaisaurus. Dongbeititan represents the first sauropod dinosaur reported from the Lower Cretaceous Jehol Group of western Liaoning Province.展开更多

Observations on a Neoproterozoic oolite have resulted in a change of concept. The term "pisolite" that traditionally referred to oolites with a grain size of more than 2 ram, is now restricted to those coated carbonate grains formed by meteoritic freshwater diagenesis; oolites with a grain size of more than 2 mm are now defined as "giant". Particular unusual giant oolites within a set of oolitic-bank limestones with thicknesses of more than 40 m in the top part of the Lower Triassic (Induan) Daye (Ruiping) Formation at the Lichuan section in the western part of Hubei Province in South China, represent an important sedimentological phenomenon in both the specific geological period and the geological setting that is related to the end-Permian biological mass extinction. Like the giant oolites of the Neoproterozoic that represent deposits where oolites formed in a vast low-angle carbonate ramp at that special geological period, the Triassic Daye Formation at the study section are significant because they provide a comparative example to help understand the evolving carbonate world reflected by oolites, the origin of which is still uncertain, and they give insight into the sedimentation pattern of the desolate sea floor, which resulted from the mass extinction at the turn of the Permian into the Triassic.展开更多

The detrital mineral composition of 219 surface sediment samples was ana- lysed to identify the distribution of sediments within the western Philippine Sea. The area can be divided into three mineral provinces : (Ⅰ) province east of the Philippine Trench, the detrital minerals in this province are mainly composed of calcareous or siliceous organisms, with the addition of volcanogenic minerals from an adjacent island arc; (Ⅱ) middle mineral province, clastic minerals including feldspar, quartz and colorless volcanic glass, sourced from seamounts with intermediate-acid volcanic rock, or erupting intermediate-acid volcano; (Ⅲ) province west of the Palau--Kyushu Ridge, the matter provenance within this province is complex; the small quantity of feldspar and quartz may be sourced from seamounts or erupting volcano with intermediate - acid composition, with a component of volcanic scoria sourced from a volcano erupting on the Palau--Kyushu Ridge. it is suggested that, ( 1 ) Biogenic debris of the study area is closely related to water depth, with the amount of biogenic debris controlled by carbonate lysocline. (2) Volcaniclastic matter derived from the adjacent island arc can be entrained by oceanic currents and transported towards the abyssal basin over a short distance. The weathering products of volcanic rocks of the submarine plateau (e. g. , Benham Plateau) and adjacent ridges provide an important source of detrital sedimentation, and the influence scope of them is constrained by the intensity of submarine weathering. (3) Terrigenous sediments from the continent of Asia and the adjacent Philippine island arc have little influence on the sedimentation of this study area, and the felsic mineral component is probably sourced from volcanic seamounts of intermediate-acid composition.展开更多

[Method] By dint of historical documents, statistics and prevailed data in Hubei Province from 1949 to 2009,the temporal and spatial changes of arable land resources in Hubei Province in recent 60 years were discussed in terms of human-land relation. [Result] The amount of arable land resources in Hubei Province in recent 60 years had gone through the dynamic changes of increasing first for a short time and then continuing to decrease and then increasing stably again. Because of different natural condition and social economy, the regional differences of arable land changes were distinct. The reduction of arable resources and population worsened the relation of human being and the land, intensified the contradiction and resulted in large impact on the sustainable development of agricultural production and social economy. [Conclusion] It provided theoretical basis for the sustainable development of Hubei Province.展开更多

The analysis results show that the grain price goes through a change of early rising and later reducing during1990-2014, and smoothly fluctuated in recent years with a downward trend; grain price and CPI fluctuations have a consistent trend, but the grain price volatility is ahead of CPI fluctuation; grain price has positive influences on the CPI; there is a longterm equilibrium relationship between them, namely, grain price is a significant cause of CPI fluctuation. Therefore, we should take various measures to stabilize grain price in order to stabilize the CPI.展开更多

The ore-hosted rocks are dominated by cherts that have been well developed. Enrichment of selenium in Se-rich ores is obviously controlled by stratigraphic position and lithological character. The closer the rocks are to the Maokou Formation cherts, the more they contain selenium, but in case the stratigraphic horizons are close to one another, the enrichment of selenium would be controlled by lithological character. In the Se ores and abandoned stone coal pile at the Yutangba Se deposit there have been found large amounts of independent Se minerals, for instance, achavalite and a variety of forms of native selenium. Native selenium minerals present in the abandoned stone coal pile are the outcome of a combination of natural factors and anthropologic activities. For example, lime making will create a closed environment favoring the growth of native selenium, and the reduction of selenium will lead to its secondary enrichment. Starting with the study of ore-forming fluids. Systematic studies have been conducted on fluid inclusions separated from the main ore veins in the mining district for their homogenization temperatures, salinities and density, and the results show that fluid inclusions contained in ores from the Yutangba Se deposit are large in number and diverse in form, dominated by primary ones. The homogenization temperatures of two types of fluid inclusions are within the range of {173.2}-{247.5℃}, individually up to 300℃ or even higher; the salinities of fluids in fluid inclusions in quartz and calcite are {5.9%}-{10.1%} and {3.9%}-{4.5%}, respectively; their densities vary from {0.79}-{0.93} g/cm+3. Extensive discovery of Se minerals due to secondary enrichment of selenium in the stone coal provides important clues to the improvements on the metallurgical and recovery technologies for selenium in the black shale series of China, and also is of great significance in expanding selenium reserves and relax the situation of lacking selenium resources on a global scale.展开更多

Craton(NCC),with the wide distribution of Mesozoic granitic magmatism. It is the ideal area to study the granitic petrogenesis, the nature of magma source and the tectonic attribute. In this paper,we do the systematic researchesaboutthepetrology, geochronology, geochemistry and Zircon Hf isotopic of granitic rocks.Based on the mentioned above,we have built the geochronological framework and have discussed the petrogenesis, the nature of magma source and the tectonic setting of granitic rocks. And according to the information about the crust-mantle interaction recorded in granitic rocks and the regional data,we also discuss the relationship between Mesozoic granitic magma activities and lithosphere thinning, destruction of Craton mechanism in the eastern segment of northern margin of NCC.The Mesozoic granitic magma activities in The geological corridor of Western Liaoning province are divided into four stages(Fig.1):Late Triassic(230 Ma;28 Ma),early-middle Jurassic(194 Ma;69 Ma),Late Jurassic(161 Ma;55 Ma)and Early Cretaceous(139Ma;21 Ma).The late Triassic granitic rocks are composed of adamellite, monzogranite and diorite. The samples have high Sr,Cr,Ni content and low Yb,Y content, and the sample have high Mg#and high ratio of Sr/Y and La/Yb.The characteristics of inhomogenous negative value ofεHf(t)(-6.40;0.19)in magmatic zircons and ancient crustal TDM2 values of 1.25 Ga;.67 Ga(Fig.2),indicate that the Triassic granitic rocks were formed in a post-collisional extensional tectonic setting aftersubduction of Paleo-Asian Ocean and the subduction of Yangtze Craton, and they are the product of partial melting of ancient lower crust under the condition of the mantle-derived magma underplating, and geochemical features of the high Sr and low Y are inherited from the source of magma which is also enriched in Sr and depleted in Y.The geochemical features and assemblages of rocks formed during Jurassic-early Cretaceous are similar. The early-middle Jurassic granitic rocks are composed of syenogranite, monzogranite, quartz monzonite, granitic porphyry, granodiorite and quartz diorite. The late Jurassic granitic rocks are composed of monzogranite, granitic porphyry, and quartz diorite. The early Cretaceous granitic rocks are composed of monzogranite, quartz syenite, granitic porphyry, and quartz monzodiorite. The samples are characterized by the high SiO;content and total alkalis and are belonged to the high-K calc-alkaline series. And the characteristics of quasi-aluminous to weakly peraluminous(A/CNK<1.1,A/NK>1.0)and the negative relationship between P;O;and SiO;are similar to the characteristics of I-type granite. The samples are enriched in LREE contents and K,Pb and depleted in Nb,Ta,Ti and P.The characteristics of assemblage and geochemical features indicate the Jurassic-Cretaceous granitic rocks formed in the setting of active continental margin related to the subduction. The magmatic zircons of early-middle Jurassic granitic rocks have negativeεHf(t)(-16.60;4.15)and ancient crustal TDM2 values of 1.49 Ga;.28 Ga which indicates the primary magma is from the partial melting of ancient middle-lower crust(Fig.2).These rocks formed in the setting of active continental margin of subduction of Paleo-Pacific plate. The magma source of granitic rocks is from partial melting of the ancient lower-middle curst caused by the underplating of mantle magma, which formed in the condition of fluid derived from the dehydration of subducted slab affected on the lithosphere mantle. The magmatic zircons of late Jurassic granitic rocks have negativeεHf(t)(-26.24;18.56)and ancient crustal TDM2 values of(2.39 Ga;.87 Ga)which indicates the primary magma is from the partial melting of ancient upper-middle crust(Fig.2).And these rocks may be formed in the setting of active continental margin of intense subduction of Paleo-Pacific plate. In the intense subduction, the mantle magma is formed in the interaction of fluid derived from the dehydration of subducted slab with the lithosphere mantle, then further underplated the ancient middle-upper crust and make the ancient middle-upper curst partial melting. In this setting, the late Jurassic rocks are distributed widely in eastern North China. The samples in early Cretaceous have a wide range of values of Hf isotope:-24.92;20.88(139 Ma),-4.72;6.22(130 Ma),-17.30;11.56(125 Ma;21 Ma),and the characteristics of Hf isotope indicate the source of earlyCretaceousmagma(middle-uppercrust,middle-lower crust or juvenile crust)is very complicated(Fig.2).The early Cretaceous granitic rocks were formed in the lithosphere extensional environment when the Paleo-Pacific plate subducted/roll-backed quickly in the direction of NNW with high angle. The regional extension made the asthenosphere upwell and be unstable, and the magma of mantle was formed. Then wide mantle-crust interactions make the crust partial melt,as a result, the source of early Cretaceous igneous rocks which are distributed widely in eastern North China Craton. The participation of depleted mantle components in the process of Late Triassic rock formation in western Liaoning area indicate the time of the lithosphere thinning in the eastern segment of northern margin of NCC begin from the late Triassic(;30 Ma).The double subduction of Paleo-Asian Ocean and Yangtze Craton in the early period is the reason of the lithosphere thinning. After the double subduction, the mantle-derived magma upwell and underplate the lithosphere mantle and lower crust in a post-collisional extensional tectonic setting. As a result, the lithosphere began to thin but the Craton destruction was not obviously in this period. The participation of depleted mantle components makes the continental crust slightly reforms and grows. The eastern segment of northern margin of NCC was in the setting of active continental margin in Jurassic, and the continuing dehydration and metasomatism of subduction slab changed the physical and chemical properties of the lithosphere mantle. The initial weak subduction in early-middle Jurassic makes the lithosphere become thin but no obvious destruction of Craton. And in this period, the continental crust reformed and grew slightly. As the subduction became stronger during late Jurassic, the thickness of lithosphere in eastern segment of northern margin of NCC become thinner and the destruction of Craton occurred locally and the continental crust reformed and grew to some extent. In early Cretaceous, the change of direction and angle of subduction of Paleo-Pacific led to the regional extension, which is the reason for massive mantle material upwelling and intense crust-mantle interaction. And the lithosphere thinning and destruction of Craton reached the peak.As a result, the effects of reconstruction and hyperplasia of continental crust are obviously. In our opinions, the underplating mechanism of mantle-derived magma occurred mainly in the initial stage(early Mesozoic)oflithosphere thinning, and the delamination of lithosphere mantle or lower crust coexisted while erosion action of mantle material occurred in the stage(late Mesozoic)of strong lithosphere thinning and destruction of Craton.展开更多

Three representative structures, the Xinchang structure, Longjuba gas-bearing structure and the Jiannan gas field, were selected to analyze biomarker parameters in marine strata and to examine various types of natural gas and hydrocarbon sources. Fluid inclusions; carbon, oxygen, and strontium isotopic characteristics; organic geochemical analysis and simulation of hydrocarbon generation and expulsion history of source rocks were used for tracing fluid migration paths in marine strata of the study area. The Carboniferous-Triassic reservoirs in three typical structures all experienced at least two stages of fluid accumulation. All marine strata above the early Permian were shown to have fluids originating in the Permian rocks, which differed from the late stage fluids. The fluids accumulated in the late Permian reservoirs of the Xinchang structure were Cambrian fluids, while those in the late Carboniferous reservoirs were sourced from a combination of Silurian and Cambrian fluids. A long-distance and large-scale cross-formational flow of fluids destroyed the preservation conditions of earlier accumulated hydrocarbons. A short-distance cross-formational accumulation of Silurian fluids was shown in the late Permian reservoirs of the Longjuba structure with favorable hydrocarbon preservation conditions. The fluid accumulation in the Carboniferous reservoirs of the Jiannan structure mainly originated from neighboring Silurian strata with a small amount from the Cambrian strata. As a result, the Jiannan structure was determined to have the best preservation conditions of the three. Comparative analysis of fluid migration paths in the three structures revealed that the zone with a weaker late tectonism and no superimposition and modification of the Upper and Lower Paleozoic fluids or the Upper Paleozoic zone with the fluid charging from the Lower Paleozoic in the western Hubei-easteru Chongqing area are important target areas for future exploration.展开更多

文摘The research explored variation coefficient of grains and analyzed the fluctuations of grains in Hubei in the 1990s in order to investigate quantitative cor- relation between grain production and water-related disaster. The conclusion is that the effective irrigated area and growing structure are major factors influencing grain production capacity, whose grey relational degrees were 0.91 and 0.85 with grain production, respectively. These indicated that water-related disasters have significant effects on grain yield in Hubei Province.
文摘Many Propositions are made about the mechanism of emplacement of volcanoclastic material in the Bombay volcanic complex. The present paper deals exclusively with the physical features of the deposits laid by a complex tectono-magmatic process by making detailed inventory of the different kind of volcanic ejecta exposed in the Bomay Volcanic Complex (BVC), and an attempt has been made to classify the deposits genetically. A subsidenace which was hinted at earlier, may be a possible cauldron in BVC has been proposed, which might be responsible for producing such a varied and complex lithology.

文摘We herein describe a partial postcranial skeleton of a sauropod dinosaur recovered from the Lower Cretaceous Jehol Group in the Beipiao area of western Liaoning Province, northeastern China. Dongbeititan represents the first sauropod dinosaur reported from the Lower Cretaceous Jehol Group of western Liaoning Province.

文摘The Chengchao iron deposit, the largest high-grade skarn iron deposit in southeastern Hubei Province, contains considerable amounts of magnetite and by-product anhydrite. To obtain better understanding of the ore-formation process, this study carried out He-Ar-S-Pb multi-isotopic analyses on the pyrites formed during two stages of mineralization. The results indicate that the δ34S values(ranging from 14.0‰ to 17.6‰) of pyrites formed from the two stages have no obvious differences, suggesting that they were not derived from a single magmatic sulfur source. The δ34S values of anhydrite mostly range from 21.9‰ to 28.4‰,similar to that of the Middle Triassic sedimentary anhydrite in the Middle-Lower Yangtze River metallogenic belt(MLYRB).The Pb isotopic compositions of the pyrites of both stages are homogeneous, with values of 208Pb/204Pb,207Pb/204Pb,and-206Pb/204Pb being 38.006-38.257,15.523-15.556,and 17.806-18.052,respectively,indicating a mixed crust-mantle source. The He-Ar results exhibit different compositions of the two stages:the -3He/-4He(R/Ra) and 40Ar/-36Ar values for the early-stage pyrite are 0.46-0.63 and 311-322,respectively,whereas the values for late-stage pyrite are 0.23-0.34 and 305-361,respectively.Both stages of pyrites indicate the multiple sources of the ore-forming fluids, with decreasing amount of magmatic water and increasing amount of modified meteoric water(MASW) during fluid evolution. The Triassic evaporites played an important role in the mineralization process.

文摘Most Phanerozoic oolites are marked by ooids with a diameter less than 2 mm. Like the giant oolites of the Neoproterozoic that represent deposits where oolites formed in a vast low-angle carbonate ramp at that special geological period, the Triassic Daye Formation at the study section are significant because they provide a comparative example to help understand the evolving carbonate world reflected by oolites, the origin of which is still uncertain, and they give insight into the sedimentation pattern of the desolate sea floor, which resulted from the mass extinction at the turn of the Permian into the Triassic.
文摘The characteristics and distribution patterns of detrital minerals (0. 063 -0. 125 mm) in marine sediments provide a significant indicator for the identification of the origin of sediment. (3) Terrigenous sediments from the continent of Asia and the adjacent Philippine island arc have little influence on the sedimentation of this study area, and the felsic mineral component is probably sourced from volcanic seamounts of intermediate-acid composition.

文摘[Objective] The aim was to study the characteristics of land resources changes in Hubei Province in recent 60 years. [Conclusion] It provided theoretical basis for the sustainable development of Hubei Province.
文摘Through linear regression analysis to the trend of annual, seasonal and monthly precipitation of 72 meteorological stations in Hubei Province from 1961 to 1995,it is revealed that: 1) annual precipitation was increasing by 61.0mm/10a in the eastern part of Hubei (112°E as a dividing line) and decreasing by 34.9mm/10a in the western part; 2) precipitation in winter and summer (January,February,March,June and July) was increasing in almost whole province which usually with non-uniformity of precipitation distribution from the south to the north. The precipitation in spring, autumn and winter (April,September,November and December) was decreasing in most of the areas which usually with non-uniformity of precipitation distribution from the east to the west. March and December were transition periods between two spatial distribution patterns mentioned above; 3) the eastern part of Hubei has beome one of precipitation increasing centers in China. The results was consistent with the trend that more frequent flood and drought events happened in Hubei Province which are more different in spatial and temporal scales.

文摘The paper analyzes the change trend of Hubei province grain price and its influence on CPI, based on data from1990-2014. Therefore, we should take various measures to stabilize grain price in order to stabilize the CPI.
文摘The Yutangba Se deposit is a rare high-Se deposit in the world and it is well known for its high contents of Se, which reach 8590×10+{-6} . Extensive discovery of Se minerals due to secondary enrichment of selenium in the stone coal provides important clues to the improvements on the metallurgical and recovery technologies for selenium in the black shale series of China, and also is of great significance in expanding selenium reserves and relax the situation of lacking selenium resources on a global scale.
文摘The geological corridor of Western Liaoning province is an area of length 100 km and width 20 km and located in the eastern segment of northern margin of North China Craton(NCC),with the wide distribution of Mesozoic granitic magmatism. In our opinions, the underplating mechanism of mantle-derived magma occurred mainly in the initial stage(early Mesozoic)oflithosphere thinning, and the delamination of lithosphere mantle or lower crust coexisted while erosion action of mantle material occurred in the stage(late Mesozoic)of strong lithosphere thinning and destruction of Craton.

文摘Titanite(CaTi2SiO5) is an important accessory mineral not only in magmatic and metamorphic rocks, but also commonly in hydrothermal mineral deposits. It incorporates appreciable amounts(usually 10×10-6 s to 100×10-6 s) of U and Th into its structure and has a closure temperature of Pb diffusion higher than 660~700 ℃(Scott and St-Onge,1995) ,making it an ideal U-Th-Pb geochronometer. The Daye metallogenic district is located in the west of the giant Middle-Lower Yangtze River(MLYR) Cu-Fe-Au province, eastern China and is well endowed with Fe,Cu,and polymetallic skarn deposits.

文摘The western Hubei-eastern Chongqing area is an important prospective zone for oil and gas exploration in the central Yangtze area. Comparative analysis of fluid migration paths in the three structures revealed that the zone with a weaker late tectonism and no superimposition and modification of the Upper and Lower Paleozoic fluids or the Upper Paleozoic zone with the fluid charging from the Lower Paleozoic in the western Hubei-easteru Chongqing area are important target areas for future exploration.
