The results showed that one quasi-periodic of great drought occurrence in Shaoyang district is 2 years,the next great drought years are 2010,2012 and 2015. The planetary theory in the Great Expansion System(Dayan li大衍历,727 CE)is investigated,with a detailed example of Mars.In ancient Chinese astrology,the position of one planet and the relative positions of different planets had important astrological significance.Thus,planetary theory is an important part of Chinese mathematical astronomy.The Great Expansion System,which was compiled by Yixing一行of the Tang唐dynasty(618–907 CE),provided many innovations in planetary theory.Based on the extant Treatises on Mathematical Harmonics and Astronomy(Lüli zhi律历志)in Chinese official histories,the Great Expansion System was the first Chinese astronomical system to include tables of the planetary equation of center and procedures for correcting the influence of the planetary equation of center on the position of a planet.It was also the first Chinese system to design a table of the planetary phases of motion for calculating the mean position of a planet,which was the basis for calculating the true position of the planet.In addition,Yixing proposed the concept of the precession of planetary perihelion and gave the values of the precession of planetary perihelion for the first time in ancient China.The innovations of the Great Expansion System regarding planetary theory established its important position in the history of Chinese astronomical systems.Mars is taken as a case study to investigate the planetary theory in the Great Expansion System,including the astronomical constants related to Mars,two important astronomical tables,namely the table of the equation of center and the table of the phase motion of Mars in one synodic period,and the procedures for calculating the position of Mars on any given day using the planetary and solar equations of center.Two questions are addressed.First,how did Yixing correct the influence of the equation of center of Mars on the time of mean conjunction and the mean position of Mars?Second,how did Yixing calculate the true position of Mars on any given day?The original text of the Great Expansion System is analyzed to show how Yixing developed the planetary theory in the Sui and early Tang periods and constructed a complete method for predicting the true positions of planets using the planetary and solar equations of center. 展开更多

A new method for the unification of gravitational and electromagnetic forces is proposed. Previously, Kaluza-Klein theory dealt with the unification, but it has not yet been established as a complete theory. The main reason for this is that Kaluza-Klein theory has various contradictions due to the use of a 5-dimensional metric tensor. In this paper, unlike the conventional method, various equations related to gravitational and electromagnetic force are derived without any contradiction by processing equations having gauge symmetry within a 4-dimensional range. In this process, we propose that Maxwell’s equations for the electromagnetic force are expressed more simply and implicitly than the existing tensor form. Using the gauge symmetry, it shows that electromagnetic force can exist in single metric tensor along with gravity. In addition, since geodesic equations can be derived in the form of coordinate transformation, it has been shown that they are consistent with the existing equations. As a result, it has shown that they are consistent with the existing physical equations without contradiction. 展开更多

This paper deals with the generalization of the linear theory of the unification of gravitational and electromagnetic fields using 4-dimensional gauge symmetry in order to solve the contradictions from the Kaluza-Klein theory’s unification of the gravitational and electromagnetic fields. The unification of gravitational and electromagnetic fields in curved space-time starts from the Bianchi identity, which is well known as a mathematical generalization of the gravitational equation, and by using the existing gauge symmetry condition, equations for the gravitational and electromagnetic fields can be obtained. In particular, the homogeneous Maxwell’s equation can be obtained from the first Bianchi identity, and the inhomogeneous Maxwell’s equation can be obtained from the second Bianchi identity by using Killing’s equation condition of the curved space-time. This paper demonstrates that gravitational and electromagnetic fields can be derived from one equation without contradiction even in curved space-time, thus proving that the 4-dimensional metric tensor using the gauge used for this unification is more complete. In addition, geodesic equations can also be derived in the form of coordinate transformation, showing that they are consistent with the existing equations, and as a result, they are consistent with the existing physical equations. 展开更多

To unify the four known fundamental forces and provide an explanation for the origin and the evolution of the universe are two long-term goals of theoretical physics. Here a “universe collapse model” has been proposed. The universe consists of Matter and No-matter. No-matter is the universal energy that constructs a consistent universe field, presenting a spiral wave motion at the speed of light at the small scale. The partial collapse of the universal energy forms the particles of the universal energy in a variety of sizes, which are called as the elementary particles. These elementary particles form atom and matter, which construct the galaxies. The collapse of the universe field induces the formation of the universe collapse potential (UCP) and universe collapse force (UCF), and the later is represented by four different aspects of the fundamental forces at the large or small scales. The mathematical equation and the derivation of UCP and UCF are described, and possible experimental tests are also suggested. Therefore, this new model may give a novel explanation for the unification of four fundamental forces and the origin and the evolution of the universe. 展开更多

Skopos theory has provoked a lot of research interest among scholars since it was introduced in the 1970s, Skopos theory has formed a new perspective of translation practice and research by breaking the traditional idea of translation equivalence so to some extent it is an important supplement to translation theories. In Skopos theory, translation is considered to be a purposeful communicative action, and the specific translation purpose determines the whole translational action. Functionally adequate means that the translation should be adequate to the requirements of the translation and it works as the criterion of translation. Skopos theory enables translators to select appropriate translation strategies according to their own purposes, so as to effectively solve the dilemma in the translation process whether faithfully display the form of source text or flexibly retain the sense of the source text. The Great Gatsby is the masterpiece of the American writer Fitzgerald, F. S.. He not only depicted the intoxicating atmosphere of the unprecedented prosperity in American history after the First World War with vivid images and cheerful rhythms but also described the sorrows about the disillusionment of the "American Dream" after the war. This paper takes the Skopos of German functionalism as a point to analyze The Great Gatsby translated by Wu Ningkun from the perspective of skopos theory. Through the analysis of the specific translation of the selected paragraphs, I conclude Wu's translation strategies from lexical aspect, syntactic aspect and discourse aspect. In Wu's version he kept the styles, rhythms, and American thoughts of the source text by foreignization. His skopos is to offer an opportunity to broaden the horizon of readers who are hunger for new ideas and knowledge at that time therefor it is rather necessary to absorb the "exotic elements" in the his translations. 展开更多

Quantum theory according to the Copenhagen interpretation holds that, when a quantum interaction is observed (i.e., “measured”), the observer’s measuring devices temporarily become a part of the quantum system. Relativity theory holds that the event clock of the absorbed or emitted photon or graviton is frozen in time relative to all clocks outside the observed system. If we harmonize both theories, this would appear to imply that time continuity must be interrupted at each instant of observed photon or graviton interaction with matter. It is as if a segment of space-time is clipped out during each such observed interaction. If so, we must dispense with the notion of an absolutely smooth and continuous space-time and replace it with an observation-dependent, discontinuous, relativistic/quantum space-time. Mathematical physicists should be able to model this hypothesis (call it a “time-jump hypothesis”) and its inherent discontinuous space-time in their further efforts at unification. 展开更多

The Theory of General Singularity is presented, unifying quantum field theory, general relativity, and the standard model. This theory posits phonons as fundamental excitations in a quantum vacuum, modeled as a Bose-Einstein condensate. Through key equations, the role of phonons as intermediaries between matter, energy, and spacetime geometry is demonstrated. The theory expands Einsteins field equations to differentiate between visible and dark matter, and revises the standard model by incorporating phonons. It addresses dark matter, dark energy, gravity, and phase transitions, while making testable predictions. The theory proposes that singularities, the essence of particles and black holes, are quantum entities ubiquitous in nature, constituting the very essence of elementary particles, seen as micro black holes or quantum fractal structures of spacetime. As the theory is refined with increasing mathematical rigor, it builds upon the foundation of initial physical intuition, connecting the spacetime continuum of general relativity with the hydrodynamics of the quantum vacuum. Inspired by the insights of Tesla and Majorana, who believed that physical intuition justifies the infringement of mathematical rigor in the early stages of theory development, this work aims to advance the understanding of the fundamental laws of the universe and the perception of reality. 展开更多

This work derives a unified description of a solution-particle using movement rate of component vibrations (strings). Projected Pharmacokinetic and Pharmacodynamic data from a patient on Efavirenz are used. Differential equations are used to formulate a system that governs a solution-particle field. A reconnaissance (frame) wave that envelops a solution-particle is derived. Its conductivity and diffusivity fluxes are found. The movement of the reconnaissance wave is found to be faster than diffusion and pilot waves. A solution-particle is accompanied by the three waves, diffusion, pilot and the frame and is active only at the boundary of space and time. 展开更多

Because of this, the predictive ... The multiverse is a hypothesis created to solve certain problems in cosmology. Currently, this scheme is still largely ad hoc, rather than derived from fundamental laws and principles. Because of this, the predictive power of this theory is rather limited. Furthermore, there are concerns that this theory will make it impossible to calculate some measured quantities, such as the masses of quarks and the electron. In this paper, we will show that a new development in string theory, the universal wave function interpretation of string theory, provides a way to derive the mathematical expression of the multiverse. We will demonstrate that the Weyl invariance existing in string theory indicates that our observed universe is a projection from a hologram. We will present how the laws of physics can be derived from this fact. Furthermore, we suggest it may also provide a way to calculate the masses of fundamental particles such as quarks and the electron. 展开更多

A multi-bubble model of universe is presented, in which gravity is the result of the aging of electromagnetic dipoles produced in quantum fluctuations of the action inside a condensate of a particular type of balancing gravitons. In the model, the exchange of gravitons among the dipoles and the potential of vacuum balances the energy of the fluctuation. The effect is to create bubbles of space-time that by growing they expand the local vacuum. The model suggests that the universe originates from overlapping of bubbles of space-time associated with dipoles. Matter is originated during gravitons decay. The use of the Bridge Theory demonstrates how the attractive force field that emerges in each bubble is in the first approximation in accordance with Newtonian gravity at small, medium and large distances in accordance with the theory of General Relativity by also introducing a variable cosmological term that justifies some observed cosmological anomalies. The model overcomes the current concepts of Dark Energy and Dark Mass in favor of a gravity produced by the curvature of space-time of the bubble. The existence of the balancing gravitons provides an estimate of the actual amounts of Dark Energy, Dark Matter and matter measured in the current universe. The estimated theoretical mass of the balancing gravitons is consistent with the Kaluza-Klein gravitons of 2.68 TeV observed in the ATLAS experiment during Run #1. Moreover, the use of the observational data of the rotation speeds of two samples of galaxies allows to verify the good agreement of the real universe with the model, providing a possible explanation of the variability in the measurement of the Hubble constant. 展开更多
