By means of scanning electron microscope(SEM)and high voltage electron microscope(HVEM)we have observed and analysed morphology and micro-structure of silicon oxide film with different thickness formed on(111)silicon monocrystal under dry oxygen atmosphere at 1100℃.Compared with their oxidation kinetic curves consisted of three stages,we suggested a mechanism on forming silicon oxide film.According to electron and X-ray diffraction analyses the silicon oxide films consisted of silica with different crystal structure. We also have discussed a stacking fault and a dislocation formed in the Si-Sio_2 interface region simulaneously forming silicon oxide film. 展开更多

In this study,Al-30W(wt.%)alloy powder was prepared by Aluminothermic reduction and hightemperature gas atomization. We then studied the phase composition, surface morphology, spatial phase structure, and thermal oxidation process using XRD,SEM/EDS,TEM,DSC,and DTA/TG analysis. The results showed that the Al-30W alloy powder exhibited high sphericity, and the interior presented a special spatial phase structure in which the Al/W amorphous alloy phase and the metastable Al/W intermetallic compound phase were distributed in the pure Al matrix. When the Al-30W alloy powder was stabilized in a vacuum tube furnace, the spatial phase structure of the alloy powder changed, and a small amount of pure Al was embedded in the Al_(12)W matrix. The resulting Al-30W alloy powder products, treated in air at different temperatures, were collected in situ and characterized. The results presented that with an increase in temperature, the types and morphologies of the Al/W intermetallic compounds in the Al-30W alloy powder changed.Furthermore, the Al-30W alloy powder began to undergo intense oxidation reactions at about 900℃,accompanied by a concentrated energy release and rapid weight gain. The volatilization of WO_(3)produced in the oxidation process promoted the complete oxidation of the Al-30W alloy powder, and the Al-30W alloy powder was completely oxidized at 1300℃.At this stage, all W atoms were transformed into gaseous WO_(3),and only a large number of small Al_(2)O_(3)fragments remained in the oxidation product. Thus, the Al-30W alloy powder exhibited excellent thermal reactivity and oxidation integrity, and may offer excellent application prospects in the field of energetic materials. 展开更多

A nitrogen-doped titanium dioxide composite photocatalyst(N–TiO2) with heterojunction structures is synthesized by three different approaches: a novel UV-assisted thermal synthesis, annealing, and microwave technique. Photocatalytic activities of synthesized photocatalysts are evaluated by the degradation of Methyl Orange under ultraviolet light types A(UV-A), B(UV-B), and C(UV-C), visible light, and direct sunlight irradiation. Results show that by using N–TiO_2 photocatalyst prepared by the UV-assisted thermal synthesis and annealing, the degradation increases by 16.5% and 20.4%, respectively, compared to that by bare TiO2. The best results are obtained at a nitrogen to TiO2 mass ratio of 0.15(N:TiO2). The enhancement of the photocatalytic activity observed in the visible range is mainly attributed to the increasing separation rate of photogenerated charge carriers. The novel UV-assisted thermal synthesis has produced encouraging results as a preparation method for the nitrogen-doped TiO2 photocatalyst; thus, further studies are recommended for process optimization, immobilization, and scale-up to evaluate its applicability in wastewater treatment. 展开更多
